Exercise = more energy?
Someone needs to tell my body that! I started working out at a gym on Tuesday. So I have worked out 2 days. A little over an hour the first day and 40 minutes today. Both days I am just as sleep as I am when I dont' work out. I don't feel like I have any extra energy. lol So when will this energy kick in?

What kind of workout schedule do you gym rats have?
I am joining a gym on Friday. I plan on doing cardio on the treadmill/elliptical, but I also want to start weight training. Should I do weights the same day as cardio? Any suggestion on what to start out on with weights?

Strength training Weights vs body weight
Is one better than the other? I am doing the Couch 2 5K program and everything I read says I need to do strength training. Am I okay doing squats, lunges, and core exercises or do I really need to lift weights? Also what if I only have a few hand weights to lift. What should I be doing with those weights?

I currently work 4 days a week. 10 hour shifts but I am gone 12 hours total. I walk 15+ miles a night. I have used a pedometer to find out exactly. Actually went over 20 miles one night. Tacking Wii Fit plus calories?
I am not sure how accurate the Wii Fit Plus calorie count is but I have been reading on here and it seems pretty accurate. My question is how do you put it in your exercise tracker? I do a bunch of different exercises.

Sides with dinner?
I need some ideas for side items. We eat a lot of broccoli and green beans. But we also eat potatoes, which we don't eat with out butter, and we also eat corn. What are some less starchy side items? We dont' like cauliflower or asparagus.

What do you usually fix for dinner? I want to fix for everyone in my family and have smaller portions but I run out of stuff to fix. Not to mention I'm from the south where almost everything is fried.

If I ate 3 cups of a bag of popcorn that was 12.5 cups total. That would be a quarter of the bag right? It says 94 calories, seems low.. plus i don't think a bag of popcorn is 12 cups.. I'm confused.

When you first started exercising?
Did you hate it? Did it gradually become easier and even enjoy it? Or is it just something you make yourself do? I want to lose weight but I am also hoping exercising will make me feel better. I have no energy and just tired all the time. I wake up feeling horrible. Any suggestions?

1208 steps?
Today when went to GA state park to the Amicalola falls. We walked 1/4 mile up hill then walked 175 steps and then 425 steps up the falls . It's stairs.. day yesterday. I did not feel like exercising or doing much else. So I didn't. Instead I over ate. Still gotta figure out by how much though. Anyways, if you have a bad day eating or working out do you try to make up for it the next day by working out more?

I smell success!!
Okay. When I started my journey about 2 weeks ago I was at 207lbs. When I started here I was 204.4lbs. This morning I weighed (not official til Monday though) and I am 203.3 lbs.. So I have an almost 4lb loss! It feels great and is great motivation to keep going. When I see 199lbs I'll know I'm doing something right!

Right now I'm doing cardio 6 days a week (that's the plan anyways). I need to get some weights in there, but should I take days off of cardio to do weights or throw it in there too? Also, without hand weights, just using my body what and how many reps should I do? Strength training has always been my downfall.
