Question regarding tracking calories during my gym training routines
Hi Everyone! I am new to this board. My weight training exercise routines have been based on Jeff Cavaliere (Athleanx dot com). His weight training regimes are VERY intensive and I’m sure they burn a ton of calories. Unfortunately, there’s no way that I know of whereby I can track the number of calories in one of his…

How do you add burpees or squat thrusts to the exercise section. I would think such a mainstay movement would be found.

Beginning Strength Training
I used to strength train regularly and was in good shape, but due to chronic illness I put it aside. I'm trying to start back, using light weights to begin with. This will be a long haul, but I know it is beneficial, and something I need, so here goes!

Anyone ever had a torn shoulder labrum?
I'm here writing because I'm in a lot of pain and was actually looking for support groups. I was diagnosed almost 3 weeks ago with a probably torn shoulder labrum (SLAP tear). I have had shoulder issues in that shoulder for at least 3 years. I had PT for it a little over 2 years ago, which did help. Then 6 months ago (or…

Do you enjoy certain excercises more than others?
For example, I love OVH press and curls but dread bench press lol. Or deadlifts over sqauts! I also look forward to specific days. I can't tell if it's motivation or the exercise itself.🤣

Weight Gain

MyFitnessPlus adds calories burned from cardio to my goal; so why do cardio?
Please don't read my question as snide. It's an honest question. MyFitnessPal begins the day by setting my daily calorie goal at 1,500. That's about 500 less than my average daily calorie requirements (which means I'm losing weight, which is good). But if I add an exercise and burn (let's say) 300 calories, it adds that to…

Negative Calorie adjustments
My calories don't adjust at all. At some point they used to and now it does not work at all. I have contacted customer service and they refuse to look into the issue because I can't provide them with a specific date as to when it stopped working. I asked them regardless of when it stopped, shouldn't the feature be working…

Best ways to deload?
I currently do a 4 day upper/lower split and wondering how to deload properly. Can I reduce my training days to 2 days, and do some walking or yoga added? Do those 2 lifting days need to be lighter than usual? Reps/sets or weight, or both? Do I have to follow percentages or just cut the weight down or do what feels light?

Just realized how out of shape I am. Yikes.
Long story short, I've been the opposite of active my whole life. I just dont like to move much and I absolutely hate sweating. So I'm pretty much a couch potato. I'm also very overweight & trying to change it. In 2011/2012 i lost 110 lbs purely with changing my diet. No exercise. But I still had at least 70 lbs to lose…

Adding custom exercises to MyFitnessPal
Is there a way to add custom exercises to my workout routine (MyFitnessPal database)? For example, I want to add ‘Barbell Floor Wipers’ but it isn’t in the database and so I wanted to add it myself but can’t seem to find how to and so my workout routine is inaccurate when I log it at the minute. I’m on the latest update of…

Need tips to sneak in exercise
Full disclosure right off the bat: I hide that I workout, watch my food intake, and take protein. Idk. It works for me to play this like a spy for funsies, not having to explain myself to anyone, whatever, shush. Anyways I spend about 3 hours a week at the gym and that's the times my partner is at work. When they work from…

Scarily High HR?
Does anyone else have the issue where their heart rate is way to high for their age when exercising? To preface, I've lost a lot of weight and I am only 7lbs away from an 'ideal' BMI for my height. I don't like cardio because my heart rate is always too high, I only warm up with 5 minutes of cardio before proceeding onto…

Activity level/xiaomi mi band/longterm
Hello everyone, i have been using myfitnesspal almost 5 years and i managed to lose more than 22lbs 3 years ago. I went into yo-yo lifestyle for a bit, and I still gain some and lose some. building small lean muscle while losing fat?
I've heard you can build muscle while losing fat and I've heard you can't. I'm confused. I've started counting macros to make this work. The last thing I want to do is gain fat. I'm not looking to compete in a competition. I just want more muscle and less fat.

Accountability or Challenge Group?
Hey!! I’m needing to get myself back into working out more consistently and eating well. I’ve gained back ALL OF THE WEIGHT I lost in 2020, which makes me sad. Calories strength training
For my rehab I'm doing strength training. Of course I need to nourish my body sufficiently, but I also don't want to gain weight. I know strength training doesn't burn a ton of calories, but if you do something everyday it can easily add up. Anyone fancy a guess? Warning: High volume, low weight Pull day: Bendover barbell…

Virtual reality fitness
Hi all. So I've now spent a month playing beat saber again. I'm getting about an hour a day in. It really gets you sweating so much. Hello everyone! I just recently had back surgery ( Dec 30th) and I am now doing physical therapy. I know this is a hard question to answer because it all depends on what you do.
