My meds make me bloated, I have to be careful not to get over heated or it causes exacerbations and attacks. I am working with my Wii Fit and…

My shorties, how much do y'all eat?
I'm 5'1 and 101 lbs. I've been slowly trying to up my calories/hover around maintenance. I'm eating about 1,700 calories (used to eat 1,500-1,600), lift 4x a week, and try to get my steps or light cardio in. Being short it's hard not to pack on the weight quick! Any tips for lean bulking without gaining too fast? I've…

Fitbit: Just for step calories, or can I leave it on for workouts?
My activity level is set to sedentary and I use the Fitbit calories MFP grants as incentive to get more steps. I generally eat all the extra calories. I’ve analyzed 16 weeks of data (Fitbit and MFP) and I’m satisfied that the additional calorie estimates are close (enough). Until now, my only activity is walking/hiking.…

Hi there, I have a Polar H10 chest strap monitor that I use with the Polar Beat app on my cell phone for indoor exercise. Now that outdoor exercise season is upon us, I'm thinking about getting a fitness watch to pair with it so that I can easily check my progress when I'm outside without having to pull out my phone to…

No calorie adjustment for walking?
Hi, I'm slightly confused and wondering if anyone can shed light! Yesterday I walked quite a long way and my Fitbit synced with MFP and adjusted my calories accordingly. It said I'd burned something like an extra 350 cals through exercise and added them to my allowance, as well as showing an accurate step count. That all…

Calorie Burn Count
I am seeing wildly varied calorie burn from some of these posts. There are a lot of different calorie counters out there, watches, heart rate monitors, exercise equipment, and they all seem to give us different reads. I have been exercising almost my entire adult life and I know pretty much that calorie count is usually…

Gyms and Mat Etiquette
Ya’ll. Be considerate and don’t walk on other folks’ mats at the gym. If I’ve chosen to get out a mat, I’m probably going to have my face close to the ground at some point. I don’t care to be putting my face where your shoes have just been. It’s just simple courtesy. I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but mats are a…

Where am I going wrong?
I've been weight lifting on and off since 2020 and after Christmas I started following the Madcow programme. I had to decrease my weights because due to an injury I had some time off. At the minute my max 5x5 for squat is 50, same with deadlifts, my bench is 22, row is about 25. These are feeling really heavy and I feel…

Oppinions- is my work day a workout?!
Ok so usually, I walk between 3-4000 steps a day when I'm not working. That's my base level of activity. When I work a double shift at work (10-12 hours) I do around 12,000 steps. Sometimes closer to 20,000 if it's really busy and I'm charging around. I don't break a sweat, its walking. I'm on my feet for the entire time…

Fueling long run
I've been running for a while now, but my runs are getting longer and I think I'm not fueling adequately. I didn't usually fuel at all for my runs because most of them aren't that long. But I first had an issue after a 17km run (anything up to 12km was fine) where I felt fine during, but nauseous and weak starting a few…

Mornings are getting darker, and there's a real early morning chill now. Days are getting shorter and its a race after work to get the walk or run in. My calories vs mfp calories on cardio
I’m 265lbs and I do interval training for an hour on different inclines at 3.0mph but then I push a little higher on the speed at the last 10 minutes on the treadmill. The treadmill says I burned 586 but when I used mfp it says I burned way more like 1100 so which one is accurate? Need help please.

5.0 mph walk is how fast?
Roughly how fast is a 5.0 mph walk. an awkward question as a 5.0 mph walk is exactly 5.0 mph. But I was wondering in more descriptive terms what how fast would a 5.0 mph walk look? Is it almost to the point of jogging?
