Home Gym Equipment Recommendation
Hi Community: I'm looking to buy a power rack for my new basement exercise area. But in browsing Amazon, the selection is kind of bewildering. And the reviews tend to be all over the place, even more so than with typical products. Here's what I'm looking for: * A pretty basic power rack * An included bench if that makes $$…

Madcow/Stronglifts App help
I'm currently doing workout A which is 5x5 ascending on squats, BP and BR from my understanding but the app has me doing the same weight for all 5x5 on the row but ascending on the other 2 exercises. Is this an app glitch or have I got it wrong?

Hi there, I am trying to pair my fitbit up with the app, but it won't let me do it as it says there is already one paired - this would be my old one, so how do I delete the old fitbit in order to pair the new one please? Thanks

NEAT Thread?
Good morning all! There's a great thread somewhere where everyone posts their NEAT tips. It's 100's of pages long and I thought I'd bookmarked it but apparently not. :( I've tried searching but only finding inactive threads at the moment. If anyone has it handy I'd be most appreciative. :-) Thanks! And have a great day!! I…

Calorie deficit and exercising
Hi , I’ve been logging my food for about 4 weeks now. My question is . Do I need to increase my food if I’m exercising ? I work out 5 days a week and I’m having around 1200 calories . I don’t log my workouts . I have lost 5 pounds but had no loss last week. I’m wondering if that means I need to up my calories so my body…

Moderate+ cardio on a fast day?
I've never fasted before, but decided to give it a go today after learning more about it. I'm trying to do a 24-hour fast where I don't eat anything, and I only drink water and tea. The issue is, I also want to work out at the gym today. I usually walk 2 miles on the treadmill, and my heart rate is 155+ most of the time. I…

Best Gym Progression App
Hi I have been training for a long time and decided to set up my first serious training block of three mesocycles with built in phase potentiation and progression. I busted my *kitten* researching about progression and making the most scientific program I possibly could. However I dont want to manage a ton of schematics in…

Les Mills Classes
Hi. I have been doing Les Mills classes for the last 15 years. The ones I take most often are body pump and body combat. They are very popular classes that are offered worldwide and are especially popular where I live in California. However, there is no option for either of those in the fitness tracking. I really don’t…

A Little Fitness Progress
I admit it, I've gotten much weaker with the passage of time and the past few months have made a concerted effort to start reversing some of my age related lean muscle mass loss. In addition to the general improvements in strength one of my goals is to be able to do proper pull-ups again. Long story short at 67 I started…

Different pedometers
Hi all! I typically try to wear my Amazon Halo when I am at work. That brand just never seems to be on list of devices that are supported. Is there a way that I can just manually type in my total steps for the day? I really can't keep my phone physically on me while I'm working.

Started 75 Hard this week!
I just started 75 Hard yesterday. Yes, I know it's "extreme" but I needed it more for mental strength than anything. I have had a very difficult time being consistent with diet and exercise for a few years now and my weight skyrocketed. This is a way I know I can hold myself accountable and rebuild those habits of…

Hi there

Additional calories used when carrying a load
OK, so here's a weird one. I can go to sailrabbit and play around with getting a different TDEE based on how much I weigh and what my activity level is. That's maybe a very rough answer to my question, but definitely very rough. Clearly it takes more energy to carry yourself around the more you weigh. Sailrabbit can show…

Best way to log Active Energy and Exercise totals
I am a Premium subscriber and MFP is recommending a kilojoule intake of 10,000KJ per day, which sounds about right for my height and goals. Apple Health tallies my Active Energy but only part of that figure (the KJs I specifically log as exercise) is synced with MFP. In other words, my Active Energy might be 4000KJ but the…

Jessica Smith's 6 Week Total Body Transformation
I have had this DVD set for years and never completed it. The 1st week has been done countless times along with the 1st couple of days in week 2. Well no more fizzling out folks. I made two New Year's Resolutions this year and 1 of them is to complete this workout program by Spring Break! We are going to Disneyland…

Hmm, stair stepper question
So I did my first time on the stair stepper at the gym today. Pretty sure it was developed by satan lol, but I did it, and I’ll do it again. However, I’m wondering how to track it. I put it under “cardio, climbing stairs”. It gave me 112 calories. But the machine said 60 calories. How do I know which is more accurate? I…

Fitness trackers/watches, which ones integrate the best with MFP
I currently have a fitbit sense. It works pretty good, but drops true HR at times. Like when I’m on the stair mill. 10 minutes in, doing intervals, sweat pouring, working really hard and HR is 85. Then it will jump to 150 after a few minutes which is more realistic. Same with weights. I can be fully pumped, breathing hard…
