My body crashed, how do I get better?
Almost 3 weeks ago I went to a spin class early in the morning, after which my body completely shut down and my fatigue was severe and debilitating. Previously I have been doing 1 hour boxing lessons twice a week and I just started lifting weights. I was doing 20 to 30 minute walks in between. I had lost about 12 lb in 50…

Log it before you eat it!
Hello to anyone new to MFP, I am new to the discussion boards but not the application. I have used it several times to lose weight. A rule that really helps me is: LOG IT BEFORE YOU EAT IT! I know this sounds simple, but it is important, if you wait to log it, you can forget to log it, you can log it and not like how it…

Lowered calories and started to gain weight not lose
Hi everyone! I just wanted to share a quick update and see if anyone else has experienced something similar. For the past two months, I’ve been following a 1700-calorie diet while focusing on nervous system regulation. During that time, I wasn’t exercising much but maintained my weight around 147 lbs, even with occasional…

1 year down!
So, last July had to go to the doctor, and my blood pressure was high. I finally decided it was time to take charge of my health - I know what to do, just had to do it! About mid August last year, I started tracking and getting back to healthy lifestyle - better eating, and more importantly for me, working out. Starting…

When Did Logging Start to Feel Normal for You?
Just curious, how long did it take before logging your food felt like part of your day and not a chore? I’m a few weeks in. It’s getting easier, but I still forget random snacks sometimes. Also kinda proud when my diary actually looks balanced at the end of the day. Anyone else feel that?

Missing a meal-didn’t log it.
I am new to MFP. Have been logging everything the past week and lost 13#! I am so excited to see where this journey takes me and lose this new diagnosis of “pre-diabetic.” I slept in on Saturday so missed Breakfast. MFP thinks I forgot to log it. Is there a “placeholder” of sorts? TIA.

Does loose skin occur during or after the weight loss?
When losing weight would you notice the loose skin as you drop the weight or would the skin end up sagging months after you lose the weight?

Menopausal & Intermittent Fasting

Weight scale in graphs scientifically incorrect
Dear all, How do you feel about the adjusting scale in the weight graphs? It really bothers me that the graphs display the scale from the highest to the lowest weight, so that the weight axis scale doesn’t start at 0 kg. This makes weight changes seem huge, even though in the bigger picture, it might only be a 0.8 kg…

"One weekend ruined months!" - NOPE!
Just thought I'd post this for the people who have worked so hard, seen the scale go down, let their hair down for one weekend and freaked out to see months of progress seemingly wiped out in a couple of days. Big OverFeed Ruins Everything? Nope.
I'm posting this in counterpoint to the frequent "Fell off the wagon - all progress destroyed!!!!" woe-is-me "self sabotage" threads. I'm in maintenance, but trying to lose ultra-slowly because I'm a bit above maintenance range. Last weekend, I went to a weekend workshop with art buddies, and really kicked out the jams.…

I need help with the 1240 calories daily that my profile said I should have.
I am new to MyFitnessPal, I am 73 and not active and my goal is to get rid of the 7 lbs I gained. When I set up my profile it said I could have 1240 calories daily, I am not very active and I have been unable to stay at that 1240. My husband has been on MyFitnessPal a long time and ,of course, had no problem.
