Hi! My name is Maddie and I am learning how to calorie deficit, it is super confusing.. but I am sure I will get there. Does anyone have any tips?

Calories and exercise
Hi, I see that when you enter exercise, those calories are deducted from your total calories, so my question is should you still strive to reach the calorie goal or is the deficit a contributing factor to your weight loss?

anyone dealing with elevated cholesterol?
can this be improved with diet and exercise since its not too high or should I go on a statin? My PCG is quick to answer everything with a pill. I would like to try a natural way first.

How to access my meal plan

Hey does anyone know how to fix this issue
I’ve been weighing my cereal and milk separately and then creating the recipe and putting in the amount of milk and cereal there however when I log it in using that recipe it saves but without the quantities so it doesn’t add it correctly. Negative calorie adjustment
Please can someone explain the calorie adjustment? I’ve read the article but I’m still confused by it. I woke up today and already it’s -182 Yesterday I went on a 6k run and did over 11k steps and the calorie adjustment was -514

Why do I plateau for weeks at a time
I count my calories, avoid sugar, limit carbs and struggle to lose. It takes me weeks to lose a pound. Then I gain it back and lose it again, all while staying in a calorie deficit. Idk what I’m doing wrong and it’s frustrating

Hi it shows calories burned on the dashboard. Says I should burn between 400 and 600 . Is that just extra exercise calories ?

Can someone help me to understand “Calories Remaining” indicator?
Just want to see if someone can help me wrap my head around this? I get the Base Goal - Food consumed, obviously. But why is exercise also being subtracted from the total? The picture is just from my steps for the day before I go for a run or spend time in the gym later. Just want to make sure I understand how it works…

Base goal and calorie deficit
hi, I’m new to MFP and I don’t understand how the “base goal” works. My base goal is 1790 and I have connected my Garmin app so when I do a workout this number goes up so as of now I have 966 left. How would I go into a calorie deficit?
