Easy avocado toast
I looked up some posts on avocado toast on MFP and felt that people are making it WAY more complicated than it needs to be. Sure, if you're only having the avocado on the bread it's pretty boring and needs some oomph and therefore requires extra effort, but adding other more flavorful ingredients to the toast can make it…

Are there any cheese makers here? Help needed with calorie count.
Hi, I used to make my own goat cheese (pre weight loss) but my supply of fresh milk ran out so I've not made it since January. I started calorie counting at the end of February. I'm at maintenance now (hurrah! 😁) but of course I need to still count calories. I've just found another goat milk source and really want to start…

Question re Tesco (UK) spare ribs and keto
I got some Peking Spare Ribs from Tesco — I read the carb content, which said 1.3g per 100g. However, they came with a peking sauce to add to them. The sauce had no information re carbs etc and the box says that the carb content is 1.3g per 100g if prepared as instructed. The instructions included pouring on the sauce, so…

Swerve Sugar Replacement in MFP
Hi! I'm looking to make a lower-carb version of my Mom's banana bread recipe (yes, I know bananas are loaded with carbs, but hang with me). I bought a package of Swerve granular sugar and some almond flour and created a new recipe in MFP, but the carb count was almost identical to the original recipe. I'm guessing that MFP…

It's a Good Time for Salads
We love salads at our house! There are many, but one thing I do is look up menus of salads on restaurant websites. I just buy the ingredients and make them myself. Tonight we had a strawberry and berry salad similar to the Strawberry Field salad at Wendy's. Yummy! Besides the typical vegetables I added sliced chicken…

Chicken, onions and peppers!
I tried something new tonight. I browned chicken chunks in olive oil, then cooked peppers, onions and garlic...added it all together with a little broth and herbs from my yard. It was very good. I was craving dessert, my bad habit. I tried something that I read and had a cup of coffee with cream. I'm satisfied!

Dinner under 300 calories
Hi, I am getting quite good at low calorie dinners and wanted to share this one, as I felt really full afterwards and it was high on protein, too. I made Heck chicken sausages (2 for 90 calories) and a tomato and peach salad. In the salad I added tomatoes and peaches (sliced), basil, red onion, and then you can make a…

crunchy carby low fat salty treat
I knew that you can microwave papadums for a low fat crispy treat. Buy the ones you are meant to deep fry at home and nuke for a minute on high. Out of curiosity I just tried Vietnamese rice papers, the ones meant for making summer rolls after softening in water. Worked too. The rice papers need to go for a minute and a…

Low sugar recipes
What are your favorite low sugar recipes? I need to have a better recipe index for this area because I see I can easily exceed my sugar for the day by noon! I admit to having a sweet tooth, and although I’ve watched my snacks and candies...it seems now I need to modify my regular meals. Mahalo!
