These days when something happens to me, the first thing I think about is when can I tell you guys.
Plus, you have now replaced my previous evening occupation of going to a bar, eating dinner, drinking wine and reading the newspaper or a book. Now I come home, drink coffee and try to catch up. I count this as a win in my ongoing attempt to quit drinking totally....still not successful but this visiting you guys instead is helping!

Yeah, cereal doesn't make me feel full either. You should have seen my face when I actually weighed a serving of it for the first time and realized just how many calories it was to feel that hungry.

Confession - we're having lunch out again. It annoys me, but it's going to be a nice change for the kids to eat with their dad. Eating out is always such a drag, honestly. I never know what to order and always ends up frustrated trying to calculate my meal. If I knew the calories, it would really help. Blah.
I confess it's stressing me out about my vacations too. I SUCK at guessing calories from a menu. I swear every time I look at a menu that has nutrition info and try to guess, I'm way off. So for all I know I'm never ordering the thing with the least calories, even though I try to make a good choice... and I'm really not in the mood for salads right now. Plus I really don't want to be that person who orders things that are not on the menu like grilled chicken and steamed veggies all the time. I don't like drawing attention to myself and confrontation...
And I confess it's sad because going out to eat used to be my favorite thing.
Of course, we might stop at that gelato place for dessert.0 -

They all have their own bowls and go right to them when it's time to eat! Such good little piglets!
Do they ever try to sneak food when they're done eating out of their own bowls?
Yes, the orange one on the top left (Bugsy) will stay in there the longest and try to sneak whatever is left behind. Also, Skye (our newest kitten) will do it too. She isn't in the picture because this was taken when we still had Steve (the other orange over in front of the sink) before he passed last fall from Cancer.0 -

I now want a KFC biscuit and honey sauce. I've been craving fried chicken for many days (maybe because of something someone said on here) and I still have yet to eat any. I have been watching my eating the last couple weeks to prevent excess baggage for my trip, but I REALLY WANT SOME FRIED CHICKEN!!!
If you check my diary, you'll see we had Popeye's for dinner last night and this morning, I was down .6 lbs. The chicken was SO good and well worth the wait.
Loooove me to Popeye's! Their spicy chicken is soooo good. And don't get me started on their mashed potatoes. I have to pass right by it by every single morning on my commute to work and have to remind myself part of the reason I am commuting is because of their deliciousness!0 -

So, my birthday is tomorrow and all I can think about is having my most favorite meal EVER out at my favorite restaurant! I'm really hoping that they have this AMAZING dessert that they used to serve. It's a piece of cake (your choice of a bunch of flavors) wrapped in a flour tortilla, fried up, and sprinkled with either cocoa or cinnamon. Then they top it with either honey or hot fudge, ice cream, and whipped cream! Holy Mother of deliciousness! One time we went they said they weren't serving it anymore...but the next time we went, it was on the menu again. Anyway, I'm just really hoping it's there tomorrow. It kept me up last night. Sad, so sad.
But seriously, I CAN'T WAIT! If they don't have that dessert, I plan on having a very large serving of ice cream for dessert. I fully plan on murdering my calorie goal for tomorrow BUT I will still do my workout in the morning.0 -

Awesome. Kinda makes me cringe though, just imagining all those meowing at 3am every night like mine does...
Our cat Moxie has this thing where she knows when the alarm is going to go off, and she starts meowing about 20-30 minutes ahead of time. We'll tell her to knock it off, and then she will go in the bathroom, and open & slam the cupboards!
She gets on her hind legs, grabs the top of the cupboard door, walks backwards about a foot, and then lets it go. BANG!
I'm to the point where on weekends, I'll put the laundry basket in front of the cupboards to thwart her efforts.
SHE IS SUCH A PUNK.
Mine figured out how to open doors (I have handles instead of knobs), so now I have to lock the doors to my room and the other bathroom at night. The first time they did it was in the middle of the night, and I woke up to one cat walking all over my face and the other laying on my legs, which scared the crap out of me.

But that's the thing though. I almost always pick stuff that isn't fried and doesn't have sauce, and for all I know what I'm eating is actually worse because it might be loaded with oil and butter or something. Don't even get me started on salads that are loaded with toppings and end up having more calories than a burger without dressing.
I'm just thankful that I don't care for alcohol. But yeah, I know the 'screw it' mentality is going to happen during my vacation (plus I might be having PMS while we're gone). That's how I gained 2 pounds last year (and a year later I still haven't reached my lowest weight again! It totally messed me up).0 -

I am leaving for work now and hoping today is a good day!
Yesterday sucked!
I got lost running an errand for my son (he got his grad hoodie for next year Monday and his name was spelled wrong, so had to find the uniform shop and get it fixed).....then we realized his bike was stolen, he just recently bought it and it is his transportation to and from work, so he had to walk yesterday, and today. Then I missed my gym time because as I was heading there, the office staff at my building called me and told me another bike had been stolen and asked me to see if I could come and view the video....that took a while and we saw nothing actually.
I feel bad for my son
Work is stressful right now too, kind of a long story, but we had a new girl that only worked about two months and now is off sick for an 'undetermented' amount of time, so they are replacing her and her husband came in Monday while I was there and freaked out on my boss....I do not generally work on Tuesdays but my boss text me and said this is becoming a bit of a nightmare. I have known her husband for years and now things are awkward, and I got her the job for him......my boss is cool, she knows I could not have known, but the whole situation is just sucky and stressful.
Plus I am still not really speaking to my SO still, we are on week two.....so that just adds to the stress.
I am not going to let it ruin tonight though! Tonight is the only night in a long while that I will be home alone. My daughter is out of town visiting a friend and my son is working. My daughter keeps getting straight day shifts, which is strange for a 19 year old working at tourist attractions that are open all night...and she is a new hire....over all it is great because she can rely on the bus which is obviously much cheaper than cabs etc, but it is seriously cutting into my alone time that over the last year I have gotten very used to! A year ago I never had alone time, but now I love it, lol.
So, tonight, I am going to indulge in a chicken bacon alfredo pizza from domino's and watch Big Brother! I figure I have about five hours of alone time after work before my son gets home....so I am gonna get everything done I need to do right away and then sit on the sofa and just bask in my aloneness lol.
Today is my day off logging so I am not worried about such things tonight, I am gonna eat super light during the day, just a light lunch and already did not eat much breakfast, but tonight I will eat pizza and my favorite Haagan Dazs chocolate peanut butter ice cream.....I am not even gonna have my phone on!
P.S. BB people, I am gonna go start the thread now, so don't forget to check there later!!
Have a great day everyone!
@Italian_Buju Sorry things are not great for you right but yay for getting alone time!! I hear it's a wonderful thing I was also meaning to ask you how are you doing health wise? I remember you had a rough couple days last week
I will be watching for your BB thread! So excited!!
I am doing alright, thanks for asking! My health in general has just always kinda sucked. But there was just one day last week I ate an unbalanced breakfast and felt sick the rest of the day so that made me pissy. In general, I just have to be super on top of things, and make sure like I am well rested, eat properly, stay active and take all my daily meds and go to a million appts.....as long as I do all that, I can keep things -contained- for now anyway.
I got home at 4:30 from work, cleaned up and then I am not sure where most of the other time went, lol. It is almost 8pm now and I am just preheating the oven to warm up my pizza. I did have to waste an hour of my alone time napping, cuz I was so tired I was literally on this thread trying to read and doing the head bob, but I set my alarm for one hour so I would not waste my whole night!
Almost Big Brother time! Whoop whoop!
@Italian_Buju napping is NEVER a waste of time. EVER.

While I like being nude alone or in presence of SO, I am less comfortable being nude around other people. One gym I went to in the mornings had a big open multiple shower in the locker room. I went straight from the gym to work so I showered there. One woman felt no problem showering at the same time and talking up a storm. She was nice but I wanted less talk and more space. She was very athletic and had just missed the olympic team. She had a twin sister. Maybe she was just used to chatting in a locker room shower but I was not used to it.
Sounds like something I would do, lol.0 -

Hopefully this doesn't offend you @Susieq_1994 (I don't think it would but wanted to put a warning).
Confession:
For some reason I thought of one of my embarrassing moments today. I worked in an office as a contractor and sometimes they would close the office if we got a lot of snow. When we closed we would have to call the main office to let them know. I called and a guy I had talked to before answered so I let him know we were closed and were chatting. He said sometime like, "You are so lucky. I'm stuck here all day" and my response was, "Yea, I really wish I could get you off." I meant it as let him have the day off too but sometimes my mouth seems to work faster than my brain (this is why I prefer typing over talking). He was just like, "Uh ok then I'll let you go now."
