Beth: Your produce contains so many of my favorites. No wonder you are enjoying it!

Yesterday baby Lilliana had some immunizations and was feeling wimpy. Our oldest granddaughter had the day off school because of the primaries, so she came over to pamper Lilly:

Lanette ... I enjoyed the link to gut biomes and fasting. Thank you.
I just broke a 44 hour extended fast with Miso Soup (thought of Rebecca while making it). I have never made miso soup before ... could not have even told you where the tofu was in the grocery store. And nori? What the heck! Anyways, I am now fully educated and can report that a ladle full of soup has filled my stomach. May even need a nap.
It is snowing here today. So ready for spring and envious of your bird feeding stories. Birds are far and few between at the moment.

Beth - glad you enjoyed the info! I thought of you and wondered how you were doing... 44 hour fast - congrats!
That produce box is spectacular. Great that you get to pick the produce. I'm not going to do the box thing again but am looking forward to the neighborhood organic farmer setting up her cart on Saturday mornings. I think she starts in May. We are all chomping at the bit.
Hopefully your snow will be gone by then!
I'm finding it's easier and easier to extend my fast... now I'm at 18 hours and really not very hungry at that. Part of the key for me is making sure I have high protein/high fat before closing my window to make sure I'm not hungry at night, and I think I've found some foods that satisfy. My latest is a bowl of high protein cereal drowned in a cup of whole milk.
I'm still logging on MFP to make sure I am getting enough protein and fiber. That info on the gut biomes has me planning to add plenty of resistant starch into my diet. Cold pizza counts, right? Well, maybe....

I have been reading faithfully everyday but haven't had much time to respond.
I finally finished with all of my dental work last night. I had put off going to the dentist for so many years that I needed a lot of work. Dentists sure have changed since I went. Not nearly as painful as I remember. I have had 4 fillings, a complete cleaning and a crown since November. I am so thankful for the benefits I have.
Today Rodg went and finally had his two teeth that were so infected removed. He had a total of 7 rounds of antibiotics while waiting for the doctor to give him the medical clearance to have the dental work completed.
He has taken control of his health and his fitness and I'm so proud of him. I don't know how much weight he has lost, but I am sure noticing a difference in his clothes and physique. His blood pressure has been in the normal range for almost 2 months now. He had been walking 10kms 4 days, then off for 1 day, repeat, but about 3 weeks ago the doctor cleared him to start using the weight machines. He now follows a weight routine that takes about 45 minutes and has cut his walking back to 5kms. I need to get on board with him as I am being a slug lately.
We have had a lot of talks at work about the Coronavirus and we are just practicing our regular infection control routines.
Our Administrator who assisted in creating our province's health authority's infection control procedures says:
Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly
Don't touch your eyes
Cover your mouth if you sneeze or cough
Keep a 6ft social distance, masks do not stop everything
and Heather I'm sorry, but she says stay away from cruises
We have been extremely fortunate so far and have not been on Outbreak this season at work.
I saw this Meme last night and thought it said it all:

They have been told no one is to leave the base at all.So their stuck on ship 🚢 or base. So no Walmart for groceries for her anymore.
Hopefully this will be over in April to give everyone time to prepare before Fall hits again with flus to colds this comes back.

Kept food down today met my goal 🥅. So happy. JR attacked food today maybe he getting ready for a growth spurt.4 -
My line dance friend and her husband just cancelled their cruise. She is a sort of negative person who always seems to feel that she has more than her fair share of bad luck. I think that anyone who can afford to go on a cruise is already way ahead of me in the luck department. Last year they went to Kauai for two weeks to celebrate their anniversary and complained because of some turbulence on the plane and some rainy weather.
I watched some Tai Chi videos on YouTube to help me decide if that's something I'd like to learn. So far, I think it would be good for me and something I could learn and do in my living room.
We went to the grocery store this morning and it seemed less crowded than usual. There was a sign posted that said that out of fairness to all customers, sales of cold and flu meds and disinfectant products would be limited per customer.
It was sunny this afternoon so Jake and I both pulled weeds. Slow and steady wins the race.

Did 32 minutes of HIIT (just wanted to see if I could go beyond 30 minutes). The plan for tomorrow is to take the Power Hour class
M – please take care of yourself. We don’t need you falling down
Went out to dinner at this place we haven’t been to in years and years. Last time I was there all they had was pasta and everything deep fried. At least now they have some things broiled . Still a lot of deep fried things, but at least they have some broiled. The gal misheard me, I wanted tomatoes and she thought I said potatoes, but I got a baked potato. Tried a little of this butter flavored spread they had, not very good. I also tried a tiny bit of the sour cream, didn’t like it. Came home and did one load of laundry of a blanket and some towels.
Cleaned the mirrors, counters, glass on the tables, vacuumed. Tomorrow I’ll wash the floors (boo). But I do want to lay in the sun tomorrow one last time. Besides, it's supposed to be in the 90's
After exercise stopped at one store, got some plums, apples and nectarines. Also, needed a roll of quarters for the wash. Washing a blanket and some towels right now. Evidently, I put too much in the washing machine so they came out really soaked. Not sure how long they’ll take in the dryer
Missing my Instant Pot. If ever someone is selling even a small one because they’re getting a larger one, I’ll scoop it up for down here. Also going to look for an inexpensive food processor for down here. To use it once/year I certainly don’t need something real good

Barbie NW WA- Definitely anyone be who can get a vacation is lucky 🍀. I worked for decades didn’t even get to use my incured vacation time until I was in my mid 30’s. When I finally managed to get a small vacation I usually just did a Stay-cation or town over for a little something.

Night everyone long day but only 1 item in the mail before JRs birthday 🎁 to go. Hubby decided will celebrate a week after his Birthday so hopefully stuff will die down or will know what we should do. Probably stay home y celebrate with my Dad or if it’s safer go to a empty restaurant at an odd hour. Hubby thinking 10:30am go eat . Will see3 -

Funny Tracy about the washing hands deal. That reminded me about a funny thing my middle sister did. I was in college and I was driving around with her one weekend. She had a habit of putting her contacts in as she was driving. So her one eye was giving her grief so she had the contact in her mouth, (To re-wet it). I said something funny (go figure), and she laughed, her contact went on the inside upper roof of her mouth! We pulled over and she got it out and put it in her eyeball. We continue on and she's complaining she stilI can't see! We pull over and she takes out her contact from the eye that's giving her trouble and in her hand were two contacts! Confused she's like what? She had put a contact in the eye that already had a contact in it! DOH!💖

Rebecca - that’s funny! I never wore contacts I couldn’t handle putting things in my eye. I bet that would cause a lot of blurred vision!2

Hello everyone.
I have been scanning - not enough time to reply. But will soon.
Just a quick laugh for everyone. My favorite Easter candy is malted eggs. I have been trying to justify why I should partake and remembered malt is a very nutritious product. It has a ton of benefits from supporting gut health and being a sugar alternative. It is also known to boost moods.
I bought 5 bags last year. I still have 2 left. I bought 2 more to add to my collection! I eat a serving whenever I go to the movies or for a treat. I just always try to stay within my calorie goal.
