I should probably sneak out and let them rest.
The food can be an issue, too. I hadn't thought of that. I didn't eat caffeine or chocolate or gassy foods like cabbage while I was nursing.
I'm glad they are both resting now.

OMGosh NANACUTLER!!! What kinda pup is "the big one? Is that Ava or Maisie? She's gorgeous! Love her coloring. They're both adorable.
Maisie is the large puppy. I say puppy because she is only 6 months old. She is a hybrid, Doberdane, obviously half doberman and half great dane. She's a brown merle and I might be biased, but she is gorgeous in the sun. She is still growing. She weighs about 69lbs and is 27 inches at her shoulders. She shoud be near 100lbs when she's done depending on if she leans toward the Dane genes or the Dobie.1 -
Whooops looks like typed in the quote. Apologies, I'll figure it out I suppose with time.2

My covid test is negative and I'm just regular tired... a friend offered to meet up this evening for an hour and I declined. I'm more and more declining; ...8

yesterday I got home early and I was sooooooooooooo tired and crashed even if the day was not full on...4

Just checking in. Allie, I am so sorry about the baby. I have no advice, but I hope it's sorted soon. Poor things...all of them.
Machka-I love your garden. We need to do something with our front yard, but neither of us knows where to start. We are not gardeners in the needed sense. I think we will do a patio with a fire pit, but we want a short-ish wall for the privacy too. We need to pick out the tiles first and that is extremely overwhelming. We don't want anything that needs water. I'm sick of fixing landscape irrigation and we are in a drought most of the time.
Medic Alert devices-We got one for my FIL. While he did wear it, he refused push the button even though it was on his arm. As a result, he fell and was down on the floor unable to get up for 3 days before his landlord found him. Now THAT is stubborn. Katla-I hope your DH is not that stubborn.
Started a new workout program and I am EXHAUSTED. Yesterday, my arms felt like lead. I don't think today is going to be better. I hope it works. I lost a lot of my muscle definition when I was limited to light activity. Just need to try not to hurt myself in the meantime as I am finally feeling almost healed.
We decided to try a new restaurant on Sundays in one of the more ethnic areas of the city. We have gone to 3 different places and last night was a winner. The others were OK, but we tried Colombian food last night and it was fantastic. Next week, I think we will try San Salvadoran. It's not healthy, but sure was tasty.
Our orioles arrived over the weekend. A sign that spring is around the corner. It's actually in the mid 70s now. Will take advantage and go for a walk and catch up on podcasts.
Welcome to the new folks. Hugs to those in need. Hang in there.
Hope you all have a great day.

Someone asked about protein shakes. Try putting some fruit in them. Nuts may help too. Or eat them with some fruit or nuts, if you're not blending them.

Hi all! My son rang to say that Bea had a bad cold and had not gone to school today. Then he said that Edie did not have cello after school, so could we pick up her instead! Delighted.
It was lovely to spend time with her. She spent a lot of time on the bars in the park, doing gymnastics, then went off with DH to climb trees. I was getting cold, so we set off for her home. On the way she once again quizzed DH about his adoption and his twin sister. She is fascinated by anything to do with people. "Are you sad that you don't know who your father is?" "We are not related by blood, but I love you." DH told her that the three of them are the greatest happiness of his life, because he was never expecting to have 'grandchildren'.
She was going off to take a swimming test in her pyjamas to pick up a brick from the bottom of the pool. Where do they get their energy from?
When we got to the house, we didn't go in because of Bea, but I managed to ask my son if he could pop round sometime to help DH with his passwords etc for the Firestick. For some reason DH doesn't understand what he has to do. I am not interfering because he hates me telling him anything, and it is in his name from his other TV. I think he will take instruction from my son in better grace.
Then walked home . My poor legs! Ow!
Delicious falafel and hummus with salad for dinner. AF wine.

Janene--Welcome and great looking grandchildren.
Beth--Glad to hear your knee is doing better, Sorry to hear about your mom, Pray you get some answers soon.
Tracey--Hope you can get the pictures you want. Sounds like a great opportunity.
Machka--Your pies look wonderful.
Woke up to rain and blowing snow this morning. Now this afternoon is warming up to almost 50. Crazy weather for sure.
Having problems with our refrigerator and have the repairman coming out this afternoon. We bought it new in 2006, so may have to replace. I told DH I don't care what he gets just no stainless steel again. Shocked at what they cost.

Vicki — I am not a fan of stainless steel appliances. When our microwave/oven combination we chose a different brand and went with white. The stove and refrigerator are also both white. I like it that way. 😊
People like different colors, materials, and sizes. It is a good thing to have variety. My preferences are good for my choices. It is good for all of to have the freedom to choose things that please them—colors, sizes, and uses.1 -
Heather, so nice to got to have some alone time with Edie, I feel connected with your family like an Auntie, be cause we all have seen your grandchildren grow up before our eyes. She has an endless supply of energy! That is sweet, your husband and Edie's conversations. So endearing.💖

I go through color phases. If only my budget would allow for new appliances as often i would like to change them!0 -

Picked daycare girl up from T-K (pre-kindergarden) and we had a picnic at the park- none of her friends came today- it was just the two of us.
It got a little too warm - 85 degrees, so we didn't play too long plus she is pretty tired.
Making my version of pho tonight(mine is more of a seafood soup, minus the noodles. I will make noodles if my son and his girlfriend wants them. DH and I prefer the soup without them.) It is a bit warm for soup but dh wants it.
Had fresh papaya and a seltzer for lunch-DH brought home a salad for me

Yesterday we went hunting for medic alert bracelets for DH. We started in his dresser and found 1. He put it on yesterday and plans to keep it on. The necklace was missing and I found it on the floor behind his nightstand this morning. He is wearing both now. Both are important.
The next step is going online and registering them with Medic Alert.
Talk to your daughter about that.

Afternoon ladies
Well i did tiptoe out ,as they were both sleeping,Tracy got about an hour and a 1/2 in and Miles bless his heart slept until 1 this afternoon so thats almost 3 hrs... Tracy took him for a walk in the stroller..
Carmine had a meeting after school and didnt get home at the usual time so Tracy drove up to find out why, well I guess the teacher talking was talking about theater ,might be interesting if they would get interested in something after school..
But Tracy had Miles in the car and had to wait like 1/2 an hr..
Im hoping all goes well as the days go by..
My new phone arrived so im going to Verizon tomorrow to have them help me set it up.. and then will let Homer out and then pick Tracy and Miles up,and go pick up Carmine.. as we are all getting our hair done..( except for Miles lol)
Brought Homer over for a little bit today but he can only handle a few hours here and then he wants to go back to his house..Tom came and picked him up.
I made an eye appointment, but its not till May..oh well..
And my taxes are done and I owe 3900.00 ugh.. oh well easy come easy go i guess.2 -

DH has two bracelets and a necklace, all of them with identity information. He had these tucked into a drawer in his closet. They are currently a bracelet with id information, and also a necklass with id information. He is wearing them now. Tomorrow we will go to our local medical clinic for a meeting.1

Quick hop on before I turn in.
Beth- So sorry to hear about your mom falling again! Keeping you and your parents in my thoughts. I am glad your sister is there to hopefully lend a hand.
Katla- Glad DH's medic alert jewelry/tags turned up! Happy your daughter is there to help!
Lisa- So sorry to hear that your son in law has been so deceitful! Your daughter is made of strong stuff. I am sure you set a great example while she was growing up. I am positive she loves having you in her corner.
Your office area looks great.
Tina - How about a zen garden with sand? You could play in it, put an easy water feature in (for relaxation purposes. Easily add a zen stone path (circles any one?) No mowing, no weeding, no plant watering...
Tracey- Sorry to hear about your kid's friend! So hard when we see your children lose someone close, so young. (((hugs)))
Me waving to all of the new girls! Hi! Welcome! Remember to bookmark our page and jump in when you feel the urge!
Pip- Thinking of you and sending all of the best vibes and prayers!
On a side note: I had a busy weekend at a Living History Show in Kalamazoo. A Lot of people. I masked. Most didn't. *sigh* Luckily, the weather was nice and they had the doors open for the event (and our table and display was right by the doors). We were across from a woman who spun and knit her own wool from her own sheep and alpacas. She had her spinning wheel there and skeins of wool and yarn of all different colors. She would alternate between spinning and knitting things like mittens, fingerless gloves, and toques. I gave her a registration and she will be coming to our local historical event! She was amazing. Oh, anyway, I was so busy all weekend I lost three pounds. I was dead on my feet by the time I got home Sunday night; but Monday morning I was three pounds lighter. Woo-hoo!
Well, I better get to sleep. Still trying to catch up on sleep since the time change. So tired every day. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)4 -
DH has a necklace with medical info and also a wrist band. Doctor appointment tomorrow. My daughter and I will be there along with DH & medical staff.1

trying to figure out how to track dinner- making my version of "pho"
shrimp, imitation crab, kamaboko(fish cake-two kinds), Chinese bbq pork, bok choy, tofu, asparagus, snow peas, ginger/garlic/pho bouillon cubes.
Noodles for those who want them- I like mine without.
I know I will be under calories for the day(unless I have a Danish)-before dinner, I am only at 230 for the day- fresh papaya and seltzer for snack while at the park then side salad, pico de gallo as dressing and 3 oz baked chicken breast.
Getting ready for #4 breathing treatment- will end up doing 5 today beings I started early, at 6AM

Katla hope it goes well!
My sister's visit went well. We were sad to see her go. Now to catch up on the little things I put off.

Pip -- So happy that your recovery is going so well. The activity you are doing is probably helping your recovery go even better!
Welcome to the newcomers.
Too much going on to update. But I am fine.

Spring morning
I wake to find the morning sky
ablaze with golden light.
A mirrorball sends out beams,
sparkling and bright.
Crystals fill the corners with
rainbows of delight
as I enjoy the miracle
that banishes the light.
I lie back on my pillows
and contemplate the day,
filled with optimistic joy
to speed me on my way.

Terri: I absolutely ♥♥♥ this. My bedroom has east facing bay windows with crystals dangling from the top of them. Every morning I take time to contemplate the little rainbows dancing around the bed and walls. The photo attached doesn't do the light show justice, but you may get a sense of the feeling in my resting space.

Holding good thoughts for tomorrow's doctor visits for Michele, Pip and Katla's DH.
Lisa: I started cleanout and refurbishing of my hobby room/cat cave at the beginning of the month. What bliss to shred and shed so much useless stuff. I even gave away a giant wall sized hutch that was stuffed with office supplies, as tho I would ever go back to working as an executive from a home office again...um, no.
Speaking of work, I've recently ushered the play Hamilton (4th time), a children's concert by the Colorado Symphony, and the ballet of Wizard of Oz, which was absolutely fantastic. Coming up in April I'm scheduled for3 shifts at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre, in three different genres: comedy, rap and Electronic Dance. I'm loving meeting new people, being out at night (not eating or drinking) and stretching my knowledge of traditional and pop culture.
Stay well, friends. We can do this. BIG welcome to our new ladies.
