“hurt so bay” “mild cal native, numbin “ “f it dry time” “Koe whose” have I told you lately how much I hate inputting on my phone’s touch screen? Next outage will try talk to text.
10 What rejection in your life are you most grateful for? Sam.
Welcome back @Anamika703! Glad you found us again.
Lanette that meme is a real tea-snorter!
Alliethat Alfie pic. You’re gonna love your Roomba. Just have your wifi password handy for first powerup.
Annie, eeuuww. May be a blessing in disguise, evicting all that old meat. Hope its cold enough where you are that the meat stays semi-frozen in the garbage cans and doesn’t attract vermin.
Beth can’t wait to see pics of your Elmo adventures. Elmo always tickled me.
Machka considering how severely your foot was burned, I’d still be throwing up. Your Dr’s “more time spent resting” rx sounds most sensible. Wish more Dr’s knew that. I resemble that “why I walked into the kitchen” remark. No wonder you’re tired!
Michelle bet you can google Catholic Churches in Jess’s town, then check their websites or FB pages to see which have midnight mass, or maybe an evening candlelight service. What doesn’t Vince think is a good idea about sending the ornament to PJ? Enjoy TSO..
Debbie showering an open wound doesn’t sound quite right. Hope our nurse experts will chime in with their take.
Heather an evening with the house all to yourself? Bliss!
Lisa, lucky grandkids! I hesitate to ask, but what’s happening to the dog? Afraid the quarantine makes it impractical for it go with them to Hawaii.
Margaret, thanks, I needed that!
Beth what a blessing it is to have your Mother near and in a facility where she’s getting stronger. A real Christmas gift.
Betsy so sorry you’re so sick. Hope your GD’s wedding is at least recorded if not zoomed.
Heather, substituting sugar for corn syrup sounds tricky to me, there’s something about the corn syrup that makes candies smooth, keeps the sugar from crystallizing and getting grainy. This article suggests Lyle’s Golden Syruphttps://www.epicurious.com/expert-advice/how-to-substitute-corn-syrup-article
Pip (hugs)
KJ Christmas tipi=”Don’t have to say “”Don’t”” “ brilliant!
Barbie How about a pic of Bessie with her rose?
Carla that compliment could have stopped halfway imho.
Okie dokey, been sittin’ long enough. Time to breakfast and start those doughs. Afraid to start laundry, fearing more power outages.

DH out, and I seem to be compensating with drink and food.
Oh well.
I enjoyed watched Kirsty doing all sorts of lovely crafts. Especially the handmade paper. Great thing to do with kids.
Plus sock snowmen/people.
All good. Heather UK xxxxxxxx4 -
England lost to France. What a relief!!! I will,be suitably sympathetic.

It doesn't make a big batch but enough! I could probably eat a whole recipes worth if I am watching a good movie!
Rebecca
Oh, good! I was afraid I'd done something wrong when it stayed kind of blonde and poofy. Corey noticed too, that it actually had a chew and didn't just shatter when he was eating it, and he loved that. The taste was just outstanding. Think I'll make another batch while the grandkids are here - they'll enjoy helping, and they can eat it before they leave!
Cheers...
Lisa
It definitely is blonde, you have to quickly stir the baking soda and vanilla in, then pour and scrape! It fuses to your spoons and bowls quickly.

Rebecca and Lisa ... OK, I found the peanut brittle recipe ... It's 1/2 cup light corn syrup and 1 cup SUGAR? I can't imagine it's anything else, but I keep looking at the word for "sugar" and now I'm getting batty ...
Yep 1/2 karo light corn syrup and 1 cup granulated sugar, mix as good as you can, scraping spoons back and forth.0 -

We don't have such a thing as corn syrup over here, but I found some US brrand stuff on Amazon which they are charging a fortune for, so I've bought a Chinese one. Same thing. Apparently, Google says you can substitute one cup sugar dissolved in 1/4 cup water.
The recipe also reminded me that I needed to buy more vanilla extract, so that's done. I haven't got any salted peanuts though. Can buy those locally tomorrow.
I'm going to try it out just because ....... because it looks unbelievably easy!Peanuts are good for you. Right?
Hair is trimmed and tidy. Still got to do the roots soon.
Gearing up to make gluten free bread sauce tomorrow. Bought full milk and got the bread out of the freezer.
We are planning to have a singing session after lunch tomorrow. We are going to try the classical pieces that we were being taught before covid. We have the sheet music and can follow recordings on YouTube. Should be fun.

Just remember to use a really sturdy container because microwaving it, it turns to lava! My Pyrex measuring container is thick enough, though it gets warm, it won't break.

Dang it Navy midshipmen lost to Army 17/20. Lee is upstairs slaughtering bad guys in his computer games!

Kim-LMAO-Family is a biological accident! So sad but true in too many cases.
Debbie congrats on your procedure being over (at least phase one).
Pip-sorry Covid caught you. Hope you get mild case.
Flea-congrats on stable scans! Belize sounds wonderful!
Allie-Miles does have an infectious smile.
Terri-Oh no! I do hope it skips you.
Beth-heck of a way to get a restful weekend. Hope recovery goes smoothly.
Betsy-missing the wedding is a bummer, but if you are feeling that bad you are doing the sensible thing. Feel better.
Rebecca-Army/Navy was an exciting finish. I root for Navy because two brothers and a nephew served-but it is a great tradition game.
Caught up on reading-didn't comment on everything. Was out of town Thursday and Friday. Funeral for friend today (much older). He was a retired minister. I am close to his wife. Beautiful service recognizing a life well lived.
Got my 6 month blood work. Everything looks good except the levels for the thyroid cancer-still rising. Guess the bone scan is next. And if they don't see anything on it-then most likely retest in 6 months. Followup for my pelvic prolapse surgery was good-everything where it should be! So-I got some good health news and some we'll just have to see. Could be much worse.
Tired after today-heading in to bed.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio

Last weekend, I got my Christmas tipi set up for the kids to play in. It took about four trips to Home Depot and $200 in supplies to build. It also took about eight hours to get it the way I wanted it. But the kids have loved it.
Well, I better scoot! Love and hugs to all! ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)
I love this idea.

We've been out to our beekeeping group this morning. So fascinating! "We" did a major hive move - a strong collection of bees needed to go into a new hive, and we're getting the old hive so we'll have two. But it might be a little while before we get another swarm.
And now it has started raining (again) so we're at home relaxing and listening to Christmas music.

KJ - Love the tipi! Sounds like a busy Christmas season ahead! I thought the family was moving near you? Or is that coming with the new year?
Barbara AHMOD - My DD is taking the dog with her to Hawaii, and there is a quarantine, but it can be as little as five days with the right vaccinations and tests prior to arrival. That's the way I read the website, but I've seldom seen a more convoluted document. She's the queen of sticking to the regulations, so I'm sure she'll have it all in hand.
Ginny - Glad the surgery went well...
I've been writing all day, quite cathartic, some publishable, some not. Nice quiet day.
Love y'all,
