Allie what an exciting day ahead! Gentle hugs for Tracy! I remember after my c section I couldn't sit up to pick up my baby. The rest is a blur.
Michele sorry your arm hurts. Hope you can find another way to play Mahjongg. For me, caffeine can be part of a problem like that.
Lisa, always good to have a visit from Pat! Living proof that there are still good single men out there!
Tracey what a beautiful sky! And yes those old sewing machines are attractive, but clunky. We have taken the approach of burying the machine in a pile of mending. Lol!
Barbara Yay for your blouse that fits!
I'm having the opposite. I pulled out my bathing suit and ordered a larger size.
I'm getting excited for my trip to Las Vegas! Yay!
I need to get rid of expired food in my pantry. I would hate for my cousin to pull something out and get sick, or find bugs or something. Glad I started prepping weeks early!
Have a fantastic day! May you all be happy, healthy, safe and free!

Three reasons to give up diet soda or any foods with artificial sweeteners...
It does not help you lose weight...
It does not contribute to a healthy gut...the artificial sweetners conrtributes to an unbalanced gut bacteria. Not sure how it affects the liver?
The caffeine in it if it has caffeine disturbs your sleep.
There is stevia but I cannot stand the after taste plus it still activates my sweet tooth. I am trying to train my palate to like more bitter and less salty foods because I know they are often better for my overall health.
I could never have aspartame because of my mood disorder. I was told it could make it worse. So I just never had any diet soda, but then I don't drink any soda .
I have water with some lime/lemon in it, my one cup of coffee (no sugar no cream) in the morning, or tea (no sugar, no milk), Kombucha a fermented food.(it is on the bitter side). I also don't drink because of my family history with alcohol which is not good. I probably would have joined the temperance movement in another life because of the heartbreaking effect alcohol has had on my family.
Annie Years ago I remember pulling out some crackers at my mom's and finding bugs. Her comment extra protein. My response was to throw them out. So a good move to go through your pantry.5 -
DH and his pasta! Lol
I measure 1/2 to 1 cup of pasta and limit myself to that. I fill up on the salad and meat sauce. Orange for desert. Also had banana’s and blueberries in my morning oatmeal, and 1/2 apple in a tortilla with cream cheese and almond butter in it. Makes a great sandwich! handful of nuts for a snack when I got bored and just wanted a snack. I just remembered, I had a handful of wheat things too. Still under calories with all that!

Bloodwork for my kidney doctor today. DH is getting bloodwork too for anemia and liver problems. He won’t listen about the drinking so now it is affecting his health. Maybe the liver scare will make him stop. It can heal if he follows the doctor’s orders. Not much else planned for today. I will pick up some milk thistle (thanks for the reminder) for DH today!

Margaret - did you get your toilet fixed? Don't think I could give up or cut down on my coffee, I call it my drug of choice. I always feel better when I have several cups. Though these days I've been making "Half-Caff" - A scoop of regular and a scoop of decaf, can't really tell the difference in taste.
Rosie decided she wanted to go outside this morning at 1 AM. So "we" got up, lol. It's a nice sunny day so have a load of laundry hanging out in the breeze, will find a few other outside chores to do then grab a nap.
Alex my landscape/junk hauler guy was supposed to be out here this morning to go over my to-do list but he's still tied up finishing a project. No biggie. I'm not sure if they'll even be able to do much until we have a hard freeze and bushes and trees lose their leaves. Said he'll be here tomorrow.
Make it a super week.

For me I think it was the cup of tea I had around 3pm. Dozed a few minutes but didn't really sleep until I took a nice massaging shower and a few more melatonin at 2:15am , asleep around 2:45, kittens woke me at 6:30 wrestling up against me, dozed off a few minutes then couldn't get back to sleep-
Will be a long day
Dh is taking his mom for her post op so I have the house to myself for at least a few hours.
Checking in here after doing the dishes then I will start on the living room again.

Lanette Still waiting on part.
Taking it easy now. Woken up at 7:00 by Dry wall truck in front of my home. Told him did not order and was hacked best recheck so not stiffed.
When I took DrewB for a walk she was stung by yellow jacket three blocks from home. There was a drinking fountain so I was able to make a mud paste to put it on immediately. I did have to carry her home. Once home I put a cold pack of veggies on it. Now she is resting quietly and I just need to keep an eye on her for an allergic reaction. She did drink some water which is good but did not want to eat!
I am going to take a nap too!5 -
Barbie--DH and I do laundry the same as you. He washes and drys then put in baskets and I fold and put away every thing but his shirts and pants, he put them away after I fold them.
Tracey--Love the cards. You are well loved.
Allie--Sending prayers and hugs for today.
Had lunch with my new person and went over the schedule. She sounds positive.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE
