On a weekday (workout day) I have two breakfast's...
One on the way to gym and one when I get to work. This is so I get protein and carbs both before and after my workout for energy, muscle retention and replenishment/building/ repair.

This morning's pre-workout breakfast was a GREEN SMOOTHIE (Spinach, Avocado, Apple, Banana, Coconut Water, Almond Milk) along with a BOILED EGG and TURKEY.

Post - workout breakfast was EGG WHITE OATS (steel cut oats, chia seeds, flaxseed, cinnamon, 2 eggwhites + almond milk)

Fuel for the morning done :)

I used some of the Thanksgiving leftovers to make an omelette. I sauteed 25g smoked ham, 12.5g roasted turkey, 25g onion, 60g tomato, 12g 4 cheese Mexican blend and 1g olive oil. The eggs had almost all got used up over the Holiday, so all I had was two small yard eggs {88g}. Also had a little spinach fruit salad and toast. Pretty good morning after breakfast. 440 calories and 27g of protein.

Maybe a little over kill, but I used chicken leg and thigh meat, along with tomato, onion and four cheese Mexican to spice up my scrambled eggs. Turned out pretty good.

My breakfast during the work week lately has been a couple homemade pumpkin-banana-apple-pecans-raisins-protein bars. I've been eating them on my long commute to work, and they keep me full until lunch.
  • Because I work strange hours I have two breakfasts - one at 5.30am and one at 10am. The early one usually consists of a slice of toast with jam (no butter) and a cup if tea, then at 10am I have either a big bowl of fruit or a bowl of high bran cereal with a small handful of dried fruit.

This is a fairly typical breakfast for me: crispbread with avocado and egg; different crispbread with butter, strawberry preserves, and gjetost; cutie tangerine; coffee with half & half and coconut oil. (all food listed is organic) It's a delicious and satisfying way to start the day. :)

    Jelly.

For years toast, butter and jelly were a major part of breakfast. {and bread and butter for other meals} I went cold turkey when I changed my lifestyle, and have just now started to eat a little bread once in a while. It doesn't taste near as good as the amount of calories it has.

bread isn't the devil, you don't have to be scared of it. Neither is butter.

I fry my eggs in butter every time i eat them, at least 4 times a week.

I use 3g if just for me, or 5g if im doing for the girlfriends aswell, its like 30cal.... I burn that dropping of the kids in the pool each morning if you know what i mean...

My go to is fired eggs with 50g of good bread, sourdough rye atm. With spinach or vegies of some sort.

    Or left overs from dinner

Ive had cereal maybe 4 times in the last year for breakfast, way to many cals for how unfilling it is.

Id rather have my cereal as a dessert

    A burger.

I've had hamburgers before for breakfast. I've had pasta. I've pretty much eaten anything I eat for other meals.

I need to try some of this stuff... I get stuck in a rut and cycle through oatmeal or yogurt or a bagel most days. Eggs on the weekends when I have more time.

I have no rules on breakfast v. lunch v. dinner and like variety - I made all these meals at 250 calories or less - I certainly eat more than 250 at some meals.

Was off from work today. had green tea and a green smoothie!
  • breakfast is the only meal that is 100% the same 100% of the time, bowl of cereal (corn flakes 99% of the time), 400ml of no sugar almond milk and of course a cup of black coffee. I feel like my routine is so perfect that im scared to change it one bit, I once went to the store at 1am because I realised I had no cornflakes left lol

500ml of Go Coco coconut water and a 1.5 oz box of raisins, was an early shift and that's about all I can stomach at 6:30 not that I tend to eat breakfast at the best of times :)

This was more like brunch since I skipped breakfast today. Scrambled egg "muffins" (added mushrooms, onion, asparagus, brocolli, chicken (leftover from Chinese food last night), red bell pepper, milk, pecorino cheese, garlic salt and black pepper); cucumber, cherry tomotates, and sprouted grain english muffin with peanut butter.

Most days I just have one slice of toast with butter, and my two cups of coffee with a bit of 1% milk. Today, though, was long run day, so I had two slices of buttered toast and two slices of bacon. Mmmm…bacon!
