    July 2: C25K W7D3 - 2.0 miles running (25 min), 4.2 miles total
    July 4: C25K W8D1 - 2.4 miles running (30 min), 4.2 miles total
    July 6: C25K W8D2 - 2.3 miles running (28 minutes), 4.2 miles total
    July 8: C25K W8D3 - 2.4 miles running (30 min), 4.2 miles total
July 10: 2.4 miles running (31 min), 4.2 miles total
July 12: 2.5 miles running (32 min), 4.2 miles total
July 14: 2.7 miles running (34 min), 4.2 miles total

    Totals: 20.7/25 and 29.4/25

Noticed when I got up that I was dehydrated. I drank some extra water before setting off, but 5:30 is too early for much critical thinking. I could tell that I wasn't feeling great, but attributed it to lack of yoga; there's no yoga Wednesday nights, and last night we did a movie date night instead of yoga. It was only when I was walking back that I realized how dry I was, and only when my left hamstring started feeling crampy on the drive home that I started thinking electrolytes. Then when I got home, the scale said I'd lost twice as much fluid as I normally would.

I have enough data to know that my medicated blood pressure is sodium-sensitive, but not enough data yet to know whether there's a threshold or whether it's linear. So I've gotten out of the habit of adding salt to anything I cook, and yesterday I apparently had less than 850mg of sodium. That was a poor choice. I had some cheese and a third bottle of water, then breakfast, and am feeling back to normal now.

More distance today, despite everything, because the addition was all downhill. I've got one more little hill to get over, and the rest of the 5k is all downhill.

    July goal: 55 miles

    7/2: 4.3 miles
    7/3: 3.7 miles
    7/4: 3.8 miles
    7/5: 2.3 miles
    7/9: 4.5 miles
    7/11: 2.5 miles
    7/12: 2.8 miles

    23.9/55 miles

It was even hotter today than yesterday. I expected to have a slow, miserable run. I was pleasantly surprised that I had a great run. I enjoyed almost all of it. The last .8 miles kind of sucked, but the first part was great and I ran a little faster than I have been averaging lately. I considered not running because of the heat, but I'm glad I did it. I have to drive my mom to Dallas tomorrow (a 2.5 hour drive) for a doctor's appointment so I won't be able to get a run tomorrow. Besides, it is July in Texas. It will either be hot or miserably hot so I figure I might as well just get it done. It did occur to me today that I might be running a little faster just so I could be finished sooner.

So, I was going to do my easy 5 mile recovery run after work yesterday, but have decided to move that to Saturday, after Zumba. We had a big low pressure storm system come through yesterday afternoon, and I think my blood pressure took a nosedive. I had also done 8 miles the night before, including the track speed workout, and it was very humid and warm, so I might have also been salt-depleted. Whatever the cause, I was feeling kinda light headed yesterday afternoon, and occasionally verging on slightly nauseous feeling, so I decided it would be a better idea to drink a lot of water, take in some salt, and postpone my run. Very much looking forward to todays' 8-9 miles of running (probably going to split between lunch and after work) because it's gray and rainy out and only has a projected high of 71°F! Woohoo!!! :o:)

@skippygirlsmom - Vertigo is no fun. Glad you were able to get home safely. The only time I experience vertigo is in the swimming pool, usually after doing a few flip turns badly and BANG it hits me. Like you it quickly ends my workout regime.

It's been a sucky week for running, to many long days at work with lots of driving = mental exhaustion = Bed Head = zero run motivation.

Was in a confined space on Wednesday and cramped up, since then my hammy has been all twingeeee and grumpy so between travel/time restrictions a forced down week. :(

@elise4270 thanks for the link. Years ago when it first started to happen the neurologist told my mother that it is caused by a virus, but "vertigo" itself is a symptom of other types of things (things they ruled out when I was in my teens). The hope is the virus goes away. When it started again bad a few years later the neurologist said evidently the virus never went away. There is nothing you can take to cure it (depending on what it's from), but things you can do to help with the symptoms. Though stress doesn't cause it, it can make it worse and I think that might be my issue right now.

Warm morning, but it felt good today. The vertigo stayed in check as long as a kept my eyes about 5 feet in front of me. Though I had to laugh trying to tie my shoes, I finally had to put my feet up on my bed.

Working half day so I'll have to come back to read everyone's posts.

6.25 miles this morning, 100% humidity. I'm pretty drained now, feel a little woozy despite having downed powerade, banana, and water.

We do go up there some. I love Denton. I would really like to move there some day. But right now he gets a scholarship through my job, so we won't be moving anywhere for a while. My sister is fixing to move to Aurora. She has a son in Ft. Worth and another in Denton. I've never been to (or even heard of Aurora), but I think the area around Ft. Worth/Denton is really nice.

I hate when it it hot and muggy and it is as hard to get your sports bra on as it is to get it off!

Right? I hate it when I'm struggling and dear hubby comes in a laughs before he helps. HAHA

Yep - mine too! He thinks it is hilarious when I am stuck and have to go and ask him for help :)
