I have not been on here the past few days --- trying NOT to get this flu going around. I am just super tired, nauseaus, and somewhat dizzy and lightheaded. But at least I don't have the vomiting thing and fever that many have.
Yesterday I had minor back surgery - so recoopering from that. My back is just sore to lay down! And tomorrow hubby is having his throat thing done - they will use lasers and burn off the precancerous cells he has. So I know he will be in pain! So we are just laying low, hoping neither of us gets this flu. Hubby had to wait 3 months to get in to get this throat thing done, so once this is past, we'll both breathe a sign of relief.
But , inspite of being nauseaus, I am eating ice cream again ..... not drinking water like I should .... so I really need to get back to posting, and back to my goals.
Both of you need to take it easy and heal.

@ bex dermatrillomania? what you describe my dh does - picks things until they're a big hard lump. treatment?
.
Yeah my partner catches me “scanning” my body, which is basically feeling for any “imperfections” so if I have a little cut from anything or a bit of oil has splashed on my hand and marked it and the worst is having spots because I can’t leave them alone. I just pick them. Daily, over and over and they never heal. But I feel like by doing it I’m helping it heal or look better.
I’ve not gone as far as to purposely make a wound to pick.
Treatment is usually SSRIs. So I’m on fluoxetine (Prozac?) but with me probably CBT will help to find out why I do it in the first place. But I cba going so luckily as I’m aware of it I do try stop myself. Sometimes plasters help and I try a “3 day rule” so I won’t touch one for 3 days togive it chance to heal before I get a cxance to pick it again
This fit in my learn a new thing a day checkbox.1 -
My plans today......
take dogs for a walk
have sauna to try to feel better
clean house
log everything I eat
use treadmill even for only 15mins
drink water
thats it for today.....

It's a little odd because they dont have any openings at present but the EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT(!!!!!) that emailed me said that things are always changing in our industry and that he wants to bring me in for an exploratory interview! I really hope it leads to something! There are a few branches that are about 5 miles from my house! It would be great to get a job at one of them!
Exciting news! Happy for you.0 -

JFT 2/7/18
1. Up at 6 am/morning routine The cat woke me up about a quarter to 6, so I kind of laid between sleep and awake for the last 15 minutes
2. Food store Got there by 630, got what I needed and was out in 15 minutes...if that.
3. Walmart Got there 10 minutes before they opened. Lol. Got what I needed and was out in another 15 minutes. Was home before the DH got up at 7:30. I think the total travel took more time than the actual shopping
4. Laundry Bundled the DH off to work and followed him out the door and went right to the laundromat
5. WORK ON STORY!!!!!!! I think I'm fighting myself subconsciously. I want to work on it, but I just can't seem to. I think it's because I think the plot isn't gonna hold up to a story but I dont really have another idea for a story.
Maybe I'll go back to poetry for a while...hmm
6. Gym Put the clothes away and went right to the gym. Had a good workout.
7. Lunch/Dinner prep Nice and simple. Ended up doing the Dinner Prep around 2 and cooked it on high instead of low
8. Send out 3 resumes!!! Actually sent out 4
9. Fix vacuum Forgot until I was already done organizing the bedroom. I figured I'd freaked out the cat enough
10. Organize bedroom Looks sooo much better. It poured all day today so I didn't get a chance to bring the garbage up to the can at my parent's house and honestly...it's driving me crazy!!! I'll have to do it right when I wake up.
11. Research dry cleaners in the area Totally forgot about this until just now. For some reason, I never put it on my to-do list in my organizer
12. Dinner/Dishes Done and done. Have a bit of leftovers for me to have for dinner on Saturday while the DH works late
13. Time with DH Spent a few hours cuddling on the couch watching boring hockey games. Lol
14. Bed by 11 Most likely. It's 10:12 and I've already done my nightly things. Just need to take my meds. Lol
So today was a good day! I got a lot done and I have an interview set up for Monday. I'm actually really excited even though the EVP said that they didn't have any open positions. I figure I'll go on as many as I can and eventually I'll get an offer from somewhere. The only things I won't do anymore is retail or overnights. Those are my husband's stipulations. Lol. I love that I have him as my excuse to not have to do it! I organized a lot more of the house. My bedroom looked like a bomb had hit it but between the last two days, it's actually kind of presentable and there is A LOT more space now. And I cleaned and organized the top of the fridge which over the years had turned into a catch-all for random things. It's still kind of crowded but I threw out a lot and emptied a few containers that I am now using to hold rice, sugar, and flour. Lol. I'm about to head to bed so I'll finish my list now.
JFT, 2/8/17
1. Morning routine
2. Fix vacuum/vacuum bedroom
3. Write 1 poem
4. Send out 2 resumes
5. Clean bathroom
6. Print out three hard copies of my resume
7. Go through old computer files on harddrive
8. Back up TV series I have on my Google Drive and delete from Drive
9. Meal Plan
10. Revise shopping list
11. Set up bills to pay on Fri
12. Gym
13. Make DH lunch
14. Dinner/Dishes
15. Pick up Kohls order

I just found this thread. I haven't really been in the forum community and just got back on the wagon.
A bit about myself:
I'm 38 and overweight. Since having kids I've kinda lost my identity. I'm "the lady who has 2 sets of twins", so I feel defined by my kids. I have about 35lbs I'd like to lose this year and to reach my major goal.
JFT 2/8
• Mail homemade toy bags (which will be finished tonight) to friend.
• make a nightgown for L
• log all food
• drink minimum 32oz water
• clean bathrooms
• start thankful journal
• do a 7min workout
• put down my phone and play with kids6 -

Wow 2 sets!
That must be hard work!!!
I’m due to give birth in 3 weeks! (To a singleton) but will be my third girl!
I had about 30lbs to lose to pre pregnancy, might be a bit more now but good luck
I’ve always found this thread is a massive help!
I used to have the 7min workout app totally forgot about it tbh!5 -

I also have 3 girls. My 4th born is a boy lol
I've yet to use the 7min workout app, but I've downloaded it twice ☺️
I'm back to my prepregnancy plateau weight (between 180-187). My youngest are almost 2.5, so I have no excuses except giving all my time to taking care of my kids and giving myself little self care.4 -
2/7/2018
1. Bring lunch to work.
2. Read for 30 minutes - didn’t make it this far
3. Meditate - didn’t make it this far
4. Figure out how to navigate this thread. - I’m getting there
2/8/2018
1. Stay within MFP calorie goal
2. Eat some fruit!
3. Up water intake
Enjoying this group so far. I haven’t had a lot of time to peruse posts but it’s forcing me to think ahead...something that is too often my excuse for poor choices.6 -

Yesterday's commitments:
- Log everything I eat
- Stick to food plan My lunch didn't quite work - went for lunch with a colleague and although I had planned to go to somewhere I could have light (and calorie controlled options) she wanted to go somewhere else. It wasn't that bad though
- Drink 3 water bottles Had 2 bottle, think I probably had the equivalent of a 3rd in other soft drinks (squash/diet ginger beer)
- Leave work by 6 latest
Today's commitments:
- Log everything I eat
- Stick to food plan
- Be in the green
- Gentle gym workout at lunch (still suffering from cold)
- Drink 3 water bottles
- Stop work by 6.30 latest

Well I find it hard with singletons! I have a 4 and 19m old so I can imagine with twins you get less time for yourself anyway! I’m an auntie to twins
Although I can imagine it’s lovely to have them the same age, as they can play the same things and always have a play mate haha.
My eldest sometimes gets frustrated when they’re playing and she’s trying to play this elaborate game and my youngest is just twirling and singing hahaha
Sometimes you just gotta get through it lol!
I’ve never had 2 under 2 and people say it’s harrrrd work so nervous for this baby now seeing as my youngest is very full on and drama queen-like lol!2 -
Stayed with the plan yesterday although I don't think I posted here.
So JFT:
1. Log everything and stay in the green
2. Make a crockpot meal that will be nice, and hot and ready when I get home
3. Stop at the gym- do day 2 of week 2 in C25K; do some weights as well
4. Dishes, get recycling ready and scoop litter before leaving for work
Happy Thursday!4 -

I am childless at the moment, but we are hoping to change that this year. I think I would love to have twins but I dont think it will happen because the only twins from my family were born to my cousin through Invetro. But you definitely have your hands full! I've done the 7minutes workouts before. Although they are quick, they are intense so be prepared for that!

I'm so glad you were able to leave by the time you wanted to! I know that that has been really hard for you recently! Awesome job my dear!
