    Braved my first post op run. I ran 15, 1 minute intervals (2.08 miles total). It was..... hard. I couldn't remember how to run and breath, my form was sloppy. I do think I did good on avoiding heal striking like instructed. Hip is grumpy.

    I'm starving now...

    19.67 miles.

    Just another reason you are an inspiration. Youve had a hard go of things with running and keep at it. Keep being awesome

    5 recovery miles! I decided I wanted to make them actually easy and so I tried to keep my HR in zone 3 (below 154 HR) for the entire run. I managed to keep it at zone 3 for 89% of the run, and dipped into zone 4 for only 4% of the run, so I am calling it a success! It was definitely hard to stay in that zone for so long (and my cadence was definitely under my 170 target, boooo) but when I got done, I'd taxed myself so little that it barely felt like I'd run at all. It was really nice!

    4/1: 7 miles
    4/2: 4.1 miles
    4/3: 6.7 miles
    4/4: Rest day

    4/14: 6 miles
    4/15: 2.9 miles + gym sesh

    @MNLittleFinn Epic race report.

    @Elise4270 Yay! You ran!

    As for me, been fighting cramps and grumpiness the past couple of days, and took a rest day yesterday. Currently dressed in running gear waiting for my kids to fall asleep (because my kids like me to sit with them when they go to bed) and then I will force myself to go out for an easy 4 miles. Then I will come home and work for an hour or two because I have 2 different set-in-stone deadlines on Friday and my in-laws coming to visit at the same time.

    0418-2.4k Total-34.1k Goal-80k

    Dashed into the gym 20 minutes before closing time and hit the dreadmill. Air quality lately has been *kitten*, so I've been cycling a lot (yes I know that makes no sense... my reasoning is that I have to walk 30 minutes to and from the subway anyway, and my bike commute is only 35 minutes, thus only 5 extra minutes of exposure and a cardio workout to boot, thus win) in addition to lifting, hoping that when it clears up I've still got some semblance of running fitness left.

    @Elise4270 Congrats! Sounds like a pretty solid start for great things to come.

    @MNLittleFinn Truly inspiring RR.

    Wondering if anyone here has experience with Ultra Trail Mount Fuji? The shorter version, Shizuoka to Yamanashi, is about 80k and sounds like a nice stepping stone from the 50k to 100k distance, and it has a reputation of being "runable". Have my sights on it as a mid-term goal, any insight on this?

    @noblsheep No insights on that race but hearing about it I think I now want to do some sort of race on a volcano.

    4 miles this morning. Set out for 5 but I had bathroom issues and had to head back home. grrrr. This hasn't happened in a couple years and all of sudden two times this week.

    @elise4270 - yay!!! Can’t wait to see how you progress!
    @sarahthes - When I used to give blood I could barely run for almost a week. But my iron was always on the borderline of giving. I decided I had to stop giving because it just made me too exhausted.
    @BruinsGal_91 - what a story. Made me cry again. Boston is just a real tear jerker for me this year!

    4/1 - 3.65 miles to Buckingham Palace, + strength training W9-B
    4/2 -Tabatas in the hotel gym
    4/3 - 5 miles Hyde Park
    4/4 - strength training + 1 mile treadmill
    4/5 - 5 miles Hyde Park - last day in London

    4/7 - 4 miles on treadmill
    4/8 - 25 miles cycling + strength training W9-C
    4/9 - 5 miles
    4/10 - strength training w9-D
    4/11 - 5 miles + strength training W10-A
    4/12 - 5 miles
    4/13 - rest day!

    I didn't manage to get out on Wednesday because it was my mums birthday, so went to see her instead. Made up for it by getting in to the office early and getting a nice 9 miles before work.

    I so wish I lived closer to my work, because when your normal commute is 3 hours to the office, it really doesn't leave enough time for a decent run.

    Happy birthday to Mum!

    I wish you lived closer to work too. Yikes! Horrible drive time.
