January MOVE-IT 180 to 360 minutes a week challenge

January is here and time to get 2012 started off right! Is it winter yet where you live? Snow and cold air? With the frigid weather here in many areas this may be a good time to pull out those workout dvd's or hit the gym. This is the perfect time to start or jump start your exercise routine.

Let's get back in the groove of things!:flowerforyou: This challenge is perfect for those needing a boost or for those staying on track.

The challenge is:

1) 180 to 360 minutes of moving...it doesn't matter what kind you do or how you break it up...I don't care what kind of exercise you do as long as your moving this week. The point is to keep moving and doing something

Shake and Jiggle it! Wiggle or Bump it! Thump and Stomp it! Womp it!! Kick it!! Flick it!!!

- OR -

2) Burn 2500 to 3500 calories with a heart rate monitor

The weeks starts every Monday in the month and ends the following Sunday at midnight. Then we start all over again the following Monday for week 2, 3, and 4.

OK, so who's in for Week #1 starting January 2nd!! :bigsmile: If at first you don't succeed, you keep trying...just keep coming back and reporting progress or non-progress...it doesn't matter...it keeps us accountable and that's how we commit to healthy lifestyles You can do it!! :flowerforyou:

    Hitting the gym and working out wherever I can.
    Hubby and I are going to get off the "winter weight" we started to gain back in may.... grr.

    Well this month is going to be challenging for me for sure to get my 1000 minutes and/or 250 calories per week. That is why I am going to shoot for 200 min each week and hope I can squeeze in some extra min most days. I this weekend I may not be able to workout so I better get myself up today and do something.:tongue:

    I'm in ... how do we record it? Is there a way to add it to here or do we just manually type it in. Locally there's a weight loss challenge going on but due to being the working mother of 4 whose hubby works 2nd shift and starting back to college it just doesn't work into my schedule. I'd love to see something like this on here.
