Currently 196lb, trying for 165lb but no progress.
30 y.o. Female 5'4". I've never been in the healthy BMI range (it's bs anyway for my body) and the lowest I ever was (140lb) was NOT healthy. I used my fitness pal back then in an unhealthy way, like a game to see how low I could get my calories to go. Most days in the negatives, lifting 2 times a day with full body…

Displeased
I'm not a fan of this app. Thought I was getting a 7 day free trial but not the case. I do not find this app to be user friendly. I will never recommend to anyone. It seems I'm stuck with it for a year!!! What a waste!!!

Lost the plot
Got to my target weight 4 months ago but this last week totally lost the plot. This showed on the scales earlier this morning, put on 5lbs. Just eaten a very large chunk of cheese because I was upset about the size of the gain. 😔😔😵💫😟

Cryotherapy
Have you tried it? My gym has been doing a number of renovations lately, among them adding a cryotherapy option to the spa. Cryotherapy is the use of super-cold air (liquid nitrogen helps cool it down) to encourage the body into a survival state, accelerating blood flow, helping to relieve muscle and joint soreness, etc.…

Realistic timeframe to lose 50lbs
Looking to lose 50lbs. Not my first rodeo. I've lost weight before and kept it off for a while, but then over time it crept back on. I'm a 44 year old guy. Starting weight 249lbs. Metabolism is no longer on my side. I'm not doing any crazy extreme diets. I cut my calories back to 2000 per day for now. I've lost 5lbs…

Does anyone else have Heart Failure here?
IF you have heart failure and a low EF% (injection fraction percentage), can you tell me how you raised your EF % and got it back to normal? I have been taking all of my medicine. I started at 24% then 3 months laterI was up to 25%. This was discouraging to be honest. I hope it eventually goes back up to normal levels.…

Plateau Woes
I have stayed the same weight since September, 133 lbs. (for context, I am 5'7" and working to get down to my goal weight of 125 lbs.). I have actually gone up 3 lbs and come back down since then out of frustration. I actually stopped logging into mfp because I just felt like I'm not logging any progress, which made me…

So i work night shift m-f as a security officer. Most of the time I’m sitting down, but there are times i just get up and walk around. I walk around for a half hour and do inventory. I also walk around just for the hell of it because i have a step goal of 6,000 steps (starting out) on the weekend i go to the gym and do a…

10 Years Later- Starting Again
I signed up for MFP over 9 years ago, but my original weight loss journey started exactly 10 years ago. I lost at least 125lbs (not sure what my initial weight was, so can't be certain) in about 1 year. I was very focused and actually found it really easy to lose the weight. Over the years, my motivation faded and I slowly…

On a budget tips
Hubby and I are on a budget is putting it lightly and today is my first day (again) doing this. What are your cheap snack foods for when you're not able to get in a kitchen. Things for lunches or to-go dinners, or purchased from convenience store. I like using premeasured flavored oatmeal variety packs as 'granola' in my…

Generate more body heat at rest?
I am a small framed guy (5'8" 130 lbs) and 31 years of age. While my body fat is low ( around 11%), I do have a good percentage of muscle for my frame. Estimates from calculators and scales put my skeletal muscle mass at 45% of my weight, which is above average. I constantly run cold for a guy, which I'm assuming is…

For those who lost all the weight. What was your rate of weight loss for your entire journey?
Anybody lose 2 Ibs a week the whole way through? Or did you do 2 Ibs a week until a certain point and then move to 1 Ib a week when you were approaching goal weight? Curious to hear how other people are doing it

Not making it

Sugar free since Sunday.
I have been sugar free and nearly bread free since Saturday. It’s been a big struggle. But I have had pain (inflammation) everywhere. I thought it must be sugar related and it seems to be. Mostly meat and veggies. I do feel better than I did. I know thanksgiving is next week. I plan to have a keto dessert.

No ice cream after dinner
A lot of my problems have started with chest infections and lack of sleep. The tiredness possibly reducing my immunity. Since I have cleaned up my diet I have been able to add things. The latest rule appears to be if I have an ice cream for dessert after evening meal, my sleep is very poor. I guess it's motivation of sorts!
