Who else get weary of it all..............
Does anyone else get weary of it all and just want to eat how ever much you want? I really struggled with that this week. I just wanted to be a couch potato. I did talk myself out of it and got outside and got my walking in. I did log and kept my eating in check. I know part of it is the weather I'm tired of the cold and…

The scale was ugly this morning, meh!
I'm really curious about the water weight phenomenon with increased exercise. First a little about myself, I'm 5'5 and hit my target weight of 120 last June and have been happily maintaining in the 122-123 range including the holidays. My total weight lost was only about 20 pounds, but was something I committed to in a…

Almost reached my weight goal
I'm 6'5 started at 135 lbs now I am 10 pounds away from reaching my goal of 210. Once I reach my goal, I will be about 20% body fat. My question is should I recomp or bulk to 220 and cut back to 210 once I reach my goal and repeat that cycle until I'm happy? I would hate to cut now or as soon as I reach my goal because…

New to Maintaining and Need Your Wisdom
My weight loss journey started in October of 2015 after I had heart failure and spent 10 days in the hospital. It was my rock bottom and it finally got me to be serious about my health. I have had a goal weight of 185 lbs. since then. I lost about 260 pounds and got to my lowest weight (194) in November 2017. I was so…

Is it normal to gain 12 lbs back in one month?
I notice I gain weight very easily and lose weight only slightly less easily. I put on about 12 lbs after Christmas. So after about January 6th- February 6th I put on 12 lbs. Is that typical, or just a sign that I have some sort of underlying issue?

Is it possible to not gain weight during Peri-Menopause/Menopause?
Hi ladies, (I didn't know which category was the best to post this topic in!) I'm 48 and as yet have no symptoms but a friend lately has told me how she recently gained a stone (14lbs) in a few months because of Peri-Menopause. Ladies Maintaining--Do you give yourself more calories for PMS?
I've read that women burn about 300 calories more during the days prior to their TOM. Do you give yourself extra calories during this time? My usual deficit calorie goal is 1550, but right now (diet break), I'm doing more like 2050. But NOW it's PMS time, and my appetite goes crazy. If I give myself 300 extra calories,…

Ready to Recomp . . .
So, here's an update on my progress. Started out at 196.2# on 5/16/2016. Hit my initial target of 175 (based on the 7 day moving average) and 174.5 (actual measurement) on 7/30/2016 -- a loss of 21.7 lbs (as measured). Since I hit my inital target, I thought I should go into maintenance, which I did, which is reflected in…

Motivation to lose again
After almost 2 years in maintenance, it’s been a rough winter for me and I’m up about 6-7 lbs out of my maintenance range. It’s hard to be motivated to enter into weight loss mode again after so long in maintenance! Plus all my clothes still fit (but barely) so that also makes it harder to have motivation. But it’s a…

Large weight loss, excess skin and an “Ideal” weight
I started on MFP last April. I was 57 5’4” and 288 lbs. I’m proud to say I’m getting close to reaching my initial weight loss goal of 160 lbs - 96 lbs lost, 34 lbs to go. The more weight I lose and the closer I get to my goal the more I wonder what my goal weight should ultimately be? BMI says 140 lbs. I’m having a hard…
