Over 70 means I can get there faster when I put my focus on my journey
I seem to have joined MFP in 2012, though I don't remember doing so. Anyway, I found my way back here and am now more focused on making the changes that will hopefully give me a better quality of life as "the days dwindle down to a precious few." I have been using my own mixture of low-carb, high-protein, and intermittent…

Slow and Steady
Needing to loose 70 pounds for starters. I have already lost around 116 pounds over the last two years due to pregnancy complications with my last child. I reached my biggest weight ever weighing in at over 400 pounds. I have been hanging around the 290’s for some time.. still have some water weight to lose but it isn’t…

Bar code scan
OMG - my friend just told me that you can use the iPhone app to scan the bar codes on your food. Maybe I'm behind the curve on this one, but that means there are others out there that might be clueless too. AMAZING!!!!!!! Just scan your food and POOF! Add it to your food diary.

Why can't I just enjoy this journey?
Why is it that I can celebrate my victories one day and wail (to myself) about looking so hideous in a dress I couldn't have got into a month ago, the next? Why can I accept that I didn't suddenly become obese and that I won't suddenly become a healthy weight yesterday, only to berate myself for not having achieved my…

Today I am proud because...

Al's "I would have put this in my newsfeed" thread
I keep having these random thoughts I'd once have posted to my newsfeed and now there's nowhere to put them, so here's my thread! All engagement and comments are welcome, but this is also just generally my brain-dump. I got on the scale this morning after 3 days away for work, where I made good food decisions, including…

Is this group active?
Hello, I am looking for a nice group to join on my weight loss journey. I’ve tried so many diets, and eventually stopped all of them. I’ve never tried calorie counting, and I’m excited for this new journey. Please disregard if not allowed.

2 questions please
How do I join a group and how do I reply to someone’s comment in a thread?

Samsung Health can’t even find
I've recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Active 2 to pair with my iPhone SE (3rd generation), hoping for seamless integration with MyFitnessPal, especially for syncing steps and workouts. However, I'm encountering an issue where Samsung Health doesn't show up as an option when I try to connect through the 'Apps and…

Evening cravings
I've been on the program for 6 weeks now. I'm doing 14/10 as I don't need to lose any weight (165cm/51kg). Up until last week no problem whatsoever. But this last week I'm having these cravings for sweets when the fasting has started after 8pm. I eat enough, never junk food or sweet food because I don't like those. I don't…
