    I do find it quite hilarious that OP whines about all the dangers of liquid iron, iron injections, anti-depressants, birth control, etc., but seems to just lay back and take all the side effects of being severely anemic.

    I already have an appointment scheduled with a therapist who was recommended to me by my doctor. It's 2 months away. I've visited a couple therapists in the past who weren't any help. One of them said my anxiety was so bad, therapy wouldn't work for me. I can't go through this for 2 more months. My iron is too low and needs to get up now.

    And yes I have googled iron rich foods. It doesn't tell me much. I need a diet of what to eat every day to achieve 200-250% and/or correct this anemia.

    Oh Jesus help us! I am a therapist. No credible therapist will tell you that your anxiety is so bad that therapy cannot help. The best treatment for severe anxiety is a combination of medication and therapy. Adding in intense physical activity when in the middle of an anxiety attack will help decrease your symptoms. Deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, visualization, exposure therapy, and many many more methods have all been proven to help decrease anxiety even in the most extreme cases when properly implemented and regularly practiced!

    Oh and FYI...if what you've said about your medical provider is true...I would not trust their recommended therapist. Make sure the therapist is properly licensed through their respective board.

    They might say that THEY cannot help you because your problems require a different specialist, but that =/= not helping at all.

    It is honestly like the fieriest, goriest train wreck imaginable. And we are all just standing around it in shock, with our popcorn, thinking "WTF?" to ourselves. And no one even comes to clean it up. The vultures are starting to come to pick through the wreckage, the surrounding forest is catching on fire, fuel is leaking into the rivers, and yet the wreck just sits there, burning.

    It's also kind of like an episode of Jerry Springer or something. I keep checking back in - it's so hard to look away.

    Add bananas to a bowl of cereal. If you want the cheerios as a snack, mix them with raisins (any dried fruit you like), nuts, and make your own trail mix.

    Spinach is high in iron. You could have salads and mix baby spinach in :)
