At the risk of sounding like a woo-sayer, I don't DISbelieve the water crystal experiment. And yes, I know there have been scientists who have questioned the research due to lack of controls and for many other reasons, but that doesn't mean it's not true.
If you step back and really think about it, everything in the universe is matter and energy. Water is matter and is affected by energy or it wouldn't boil, melt or freeze. Isn't it conceivable that the positive energy from someone's thoughts could impact the matter/structure of a water molecule? I think so. It's kind of like when you walk in a room and it's a party and people are happy. That's good energy. Or if they're fighting, that's bad energy. Both are tangible feelings that can impact how YOU feel even if you're not involved in the action yet. So that energy has impacted your matter just by virtue of thoughts. Many people also believe that you can heal your body through both physical and mental energy. That's a pretty powerful mind we've got if we can heal ourselves with it.
Just saying that there's a lot in this universe that we don't understand, so I'm not one to woo-woo it. All being said, I don't bless my water before drinking it . . . . but maybe I should.

My trainer has always tried to get me eating 6 meals a day... I have never been that type of eater. I am happiest having one large meal and a few healthy sort of bits and pieces like chicken, Greek Yoghurt, hummus with pita or the like. 6 meals is my idea of hell.5

Mom-in-law and I got into a debate on whether or not take-out Chinese food was 'healthy' take out. She said it is because it's just vegetables and meat protein. I disagreed due to its high sodium/fat content.3

If you get your meal steamed with no sauce then it is just protein and veggies. Not too bad a choice.4 -

Consider it would depend on what you get and also taking into consideration that fat and sodium arent bad for you, I'd say it would depends. Chinese foods does tend to be very high in calories but most can fit it within their caloric needs which would make it healthy.5 -
You don't have to count calories, just cut out processed food and you can eat a ton. Sure, because mindlessly eating healthy foods doesn't add on weight.6

After successfully losing 50+ pounds, hearing, "Here is what you really need to be doing to lose weight..." I've heard this from a few people.6

Constantly told by runners that lifting is going to impede my running ability.
Constantly told by weight lifters that running is going to impede "my gainz".
OMG, Nooooooo!
I'm a runner, and when I started weight training several years ago, my running performance improved (especially speed) and I've stopped getting injuries. I literally haven't been injured in years, and I used to have problems frequently before I started strengthening. I'm not a specialist in either activity, so it doesn't matter to me that doing both might impede my ability to achieve total perfection in one or the other. I just like the overall effect of doing both. I love what they do together for my body, and I highly recommend it.16 -
That ketogenic diets are healthy and sustainable long term11

I feel like you can't do it right. If I eat cake or chocolate why can eat this and still stay slim. If I eat healthy like salad then people are asking me why I eat that I am anyways quiet skinny. I usually eat what I feel like eating n it usually works. Once I had gained weight due to the fertility treatment people started telling me to watch what I eat because I gained quiet a bit. Yes gained about 6 kg but I was still in a healthy bmi with that gain.
Other than that I am not a 6 meal eater 3 meals and one afternoon coffee n sweet to survive work on weekends usually 2 meals and no snack.1 -

Awesome!
I haven't yet surpassed my previous best times, but not at my ideal weight either, but since I started lifting (squats especially) my knee pain has greatly diminished and mostly gone. My sprints are much stronger and faster as well.
I think many get too wrapped up in purity. I'm not looking to join the Olympic team, just want to beat personal bests.7 -

I was telling a friend how I was finally able to do a whole hour on the elliptical..."Oh, no that machine won't help you. Cycling is the only way."13

LOL - I love the hate the elliptical gets. Using this enabled me to really drive the CO aspect while keeping my joints intact. I still turn to this every now and then - great cardio workout.7 -

It's actually hard on my joints because of their shape. But that's abnormal. Butnit is a good workout for those who can do it.3 -

I swear I thought it was just me. I can't do the elipical; it kills my knees when everyone says how great it is I'm just assuming I have the weirdest stride ever then.

"Bananas are horrible for you because they're all sugar"
"Lemon water with cayenne pepper and maple syrup totally works- you just might need to take a few days off work because you'll be on the toilet." (She honestly thought this was a good plan).
"Swimming doesn't help weight loss. Every swimmer I know is fat."
Anything promoted by Dr. Oz.
Magical teas, raspberry keytones, and crystals (as in, "healing crystals" bought off Amazon) that my former boss used to suggest........while eating family-sized bags of chips and Taco Bell every day and saying "I don't understand why I'm not losing weight yet."
Yet another magical crystal necklace a friend got me "to promote weight loss." She thinks hers is helping her. I'm sure her weight loss has nothing to do with the workout classes she started doing 6 days a week.

Today I got "running is bad for you, you should swim instead"
On Saturday I got "you're doing such a great job with your weight loss! I've had friends who have had great success with Weight Watchers, you should try it. They have very tasty food options."
I am doing just fine, thanks. I've successfully cooked and meal prepped my way through almost 40 pounds.
This same person also told me to go to Papa Murphy's (a pizza place) because they have awesome salads. Upon getting this person to elaborate on said salad, I realized that it was only "awesome" because of the 240+ calorie dressing.
ETA: above person ALSO told me that all vinaigrettes are healthy. 'Scuse me for avoiding extra oil, added sugar, and "berry swirl" in your raspberry vinaigrette from a fast food chain. I'll save my 300 calories for an omelet.
This week has been rough in terms of unsolicited advice.
My mom also believes that not eating after 6pm will make her lose weight. I don't think it's the not eating after a certain time.... I think it's the not eating a pound of sunflower seeds on your patio every evening that's helping you lose weight.14 -

I actually have femurs in the wrong shape. But it's possible you have an issue too.0 -

Yeah I'm another one. I just blamed my legs being too short to properly get a stride going on that thing. We had to put a pillow on the back seat of our recumbent bike ( husband picked it out without me) for me to reach the pedals all the way without leaning so I figured it was just one more thing like that1
