Anyone else have a Garmin Vivofit 4?
Mine has been acting a bit wonky (I think). I only pay attention to the calories burned and it used to be very consistent with giving me 150 calories per hour of walking. Now, I'm lucky if I get 100. My exercise hasn't changed other than I'm walking outside less than I used to but, even then, it was 150 cals inside or out.…

Fueling early morning workouts in my 40s
Has anyone been able to find a consensus in the research regarding fasted workouts? As an early morning exerciser I never eat before I work out because I don’t have time to let my food settle before I get into it. Usually just make an electrolyte drink with some caffeine and that’s it. This has been working for me, but I…

FitBit vs Apple Watch Calorie Adjustment
I have been a FitBit user for many years and yesterday changed to an Apple Watch series 4. I haven't changed a single setting in MFP apart from the data source for the step count and permitting MFP access to HealthKit. However, I am seeing a huge difference in numbers in the calorie adjustment between to the two activity…

Bungee workout: Except for the 'fun' aspect, I don't see much benefit
I saw a lot of people expressing excitement about this bungee fitness class and what a great workout it must be. Personally, I don't see much benefit. Yes, I get that some will think it's fun, and that might motivate them to get off the couch. I acknowledge that benefit, though I personally that's overrated. (Relying on…

Any Tonal Users Here?
Hey all! I’ve had success in the past working with a trainer friend on cable machines mostly at the gym. For those starting at the gym in the new year
Rest is one of the most important parts of training. All mainstream gyms have machines with a comfortable seat designed for this purpose. You can do one rep, rest for five mins, scroll through social media, do another rep, and so on. Other gym users will appreciate your dedication and focus. The most effective weight…
