Highly confused! How does calorie deficit work in MFP?
The TDEE calculator gave me ~1700 calories as my maintenance calories with moderate exercise. Since this is with exercise, am I supposed to be eating 1100 calories in order to lose weight? I was told I should be eating my prescribed food calories MFP gives + exercise calories. So, how does deficit work in that case? I need…

Girls/ women: How heavy do you lift (working load) on squat, deadlift and benchpress?
I am about to start lifting myself, after several years off. I have noticed it has become a lot of focus in recent years on heavy lifting for females, I see a lot on social media, like instagram and tiktok. So I was just curious whether this was representative, whether there has been a general change in recent years. Nice…

Steps and workout calories
My husband and I are both using fitness pal. We have noticed that if we don’t workout, fitness pal credits us calories for steps from our iPhones. However, if we do workout, we get calorie credit for our workout, but lose the calories for our steps. Shouldn’t we get calories for both the workout and the steps?

New reco for vegetarian diet: high protein, moderate carb food options for
Is anyone willing to share their weekly meal plan for a vegetarian diet with protein-rich foods? Mine seem to have more carbs (brown rice 1 cup per meal, 2 multigrain gluten-free rotis) unless I eat eggs that day, plus I drink a protein shake. I'm an Indian. So my food intake is geared toward dal, roti, sabji, beans, etc.…

Do I *have* to progress on cardio?
I use the treadmill two days a week for cardio, and lift three days a week. I’ve always been the absolute worst at jogging/running - no, worse than that. Bottom of the barrel. With intervals, I’ve made a small amount of progress in how long I can jog, over the past few months. But the progress has stagnated. I find myself…

i do use a heart rate monitor - either a polar or a wahoo - and i'd like to find an app with all the normal indoor workouts built in (treadmill with incline, exercise bike, step aerobics and stair machine/ walking upstairs). all my workouts are indoors, so an app that focuses on GPS isn't ideal unless it works well for…

How accurate is strengthlevel.com?
Hi ! Have any experienced weightlifters ever used the strengthlevel.com website? And if so, does it seem accurate in terms of the database they provide?
