Back from holiday.
Hi. I am back from a 6 day holiday to Scotland and hubby has booked a Caribbean cruise for my 70th birthday in March 2025 . Want / need to lose at least 6 stones before then. Have worked it out at less than half a stone a month average so definitely achievable if I stick to it. Have been suffering with sciatica for the…

Intermittent fasting and joint pain
I just started intermittent again about a week ago and I finally found the magic formula for my body to lose weight. I feel fantastic, other than increased joint pain mostly in my knees. I’m wondering if I’m missing something that’s causing my joint pain or if it is just normal at first when you start fasting. Am I not…

Will my calories decrease over time if I start at 1,210?
Hi! I’m wondering how far MyFitnessPal will set the calorie goal. I know that they offer to change the goal for every 10 lbs lost, but is there a boundary where they can’t cross 1,200, or something? I’m only concerned since they’re starting me at 1,210. I don’t want to plateau. Thank you!

Any suggestions?
I have been at this for 5-7 months and now weight more than when I began. I eat well, move nearly everyday and drink tons of water. I am told I don’t eat during the day and too much after 7pm, so I have altered that as much as I am able, but I get so depressed and lonely at night it’s hard not to have a snack. Every single…

Frustration with a low BMR and not losing weight
Hi all I am a moderately active 34 year old who has a BMR of 1225 so a deficit of 1200 is not low enough to lose weight and see the results of weight loss. I go to the gym twice a week and focus on weights and do a little cardio. I am 116 pounds and want to be 110. I am not losing weight however and I hover between 116 and…

Too Little Calories?
I’ve been striving to eat between 1300-1400 calories (because that’s what macro calculators say to do), but the days that I have around 1600-1700, I lose more weight. I am assuming that means I should stick around that calorie intake for now, and then if I plateau start eliminating some? I’ve eaten around 1600 all week and…

Hi all, does anyone know the best way to maintain the weight you've lost? Once I hit my target with a restricted 1200 cal per day. Should I slightly increase this daily amount or stay the same to keep the weight range?

If you bite it write it!
I’m new to this app and don’t like journaling what I eat and drink but unfortunately or fortunately it works. I had a WW instructor who always said, “If you bite it, write it and if you drink it ink it. “ it works and this app makes it easy and is much cheaper than WW. We can do this!

Consistency
I have been having a problem being consistent, staying within my calorie range. I try to keep busy, avoid the activities that promote my cravings( like watching TV).…

Understanding “Net Calories”
I’m just trying to make sure I am understanding net cals correctly.. If I consumed 1400 cals then after my exercise my net cals says 400.. does that mean I am in a 1000cal deficit for the day?
