Gained 5kg. since I went on maitance
Okay, so I'm 19 years old girl, I went to my goal weight (and even below for a short time) 50 kg. Went on maitance and gained 5kg. So now I weight 55kg, I don't like the way I look. I'm trying to go back eating 1200 calories and working out 4 times a week (that's how I lost the weight last time), but seems like I can't get…

What sort of "range" do you use?
I'm really curious about this because I finally got to a maintenance weight for the first time in my life. I've only been here since Labor Day Weekend. I went out of town for a wedding 3 weeks ago and was 3 pounds heavier when I got home. I sort of freaked and set my calories back to lose a 1/2 pound a week. Now I'm only 1…

Research on maintenance
A lot of what you see quoted in the press about how to maintain a weight loss comes from these studies: http://nwcr.ws/Research/published research.htm One weakness of their studies is that their subjects are self-selecting, and so far have condisted of a narrow band of mainly white women, with an average age of 45, and so…

Is this the right weight for my height?
Hey everyone! So, I am 5'0 and 100 lbs. I feel like this is a little bit too overweight for me even though my BMI was 19.5...I was just wondering if I should lose 5 pounds?

scale & tape measure users..question
I am not weighing myself..just because i don't need the drama. But I am measuring my waist. From what i've learned -- for good health one's waist should be at least half their height. I've lost two inches off my waist..and to be int he healthy range I have three more to go. I figure I'll weight myself at that point and see…

Eating Out
I have been maintaining for about four weeks now after losing 50lbs. My husband and I went to lunch yesterday at a popular chain restaurant and I decided after looking at their menu and mfp I could not eat there and be comfortable with that decision. We left and chose a different restaurant with healthier choices. My…

How do you tell if you are actually hungry or just greedy?
Hi, I was wondering how you tell whether you are simply having a craving (i.e. wanting to eat food even though you are full) or whether you are actually hungry (i.e. your body physiologically needs food)? Today for lunch I ate normal portions of noodles (carbs), veg (fibre) and fish (protein) for my main dish, then I ate A…

What's your plan to succeed in maintaining your long term, weight loss/fit body goal?
Most people start out with this plan of how they’ll get to where they’ve always wanted to be/look like/feel like/ etc. But, how do you plan on keeping that success? How do you plan on making sure that it isn’t a fleeting moment?

Best way to work out my daily calorie goal now I'm at my target weight
Hi all I finally got down to my target weight (w00t) - and I'm trying to work out my calories goal to maintain. Just a starting point, then I'll see how I do for me, and adjust up. I've currently set MFP at 1940 for a sedentary man at my weight, and then I add on the calories I burn cycling to work or running (about 800) a…

Scared to transition from losing weight to maintenance.
My goal was to lose 100 lbs and I am down 97! Woo hoo! I am so close! But I am really nervous about changing my goal from "losing" to "maintenance." The past several months my weight has slowed down drastically. I went from losing 2 lbs a week to losing only 1 lb a month. Now, I know this is expected, but my concern is…

Almost to "goal weight," not feeling ready to maintain
Ok so apparently I'm less than ten pounds from my original goal weight. I can't quite believe it. I still have what I call my "thigh butt" and I still have belly fat around my middle that I want to deal with. I know that you can't "spot reduce," and I figure if I keep up with my strength training it will hopefully go away…

MFP and IIFYM
I am going to be going into maintenance on Monday and I checked my TDEE on IIFYM and they are very similar to the ones on MFP. I guess it doesn't really matter, but since I log my food here,I'll go by MFP guidelines. This make sense?

Just got back from vacation and no weight gain :)
Came back from a week and a half hillwalking in Yorkshire and running around London, eating tons of french fries and a couple of gallons of beer. And I'm still 5'6 130 lbs. Sort of watched what I ate but wasn't diligent. Very happy!!!

Maintenance, thinks it's overdue
Moving into maintenance, at the point where all my local relatives have or / are are telling me I need to stop, looking frail and face sunken in. I'm not concerned with the frail, as I don't really see it. But my face I do see it, not to sure how to handle that, I mean I can't tell the calories not to go to my stomach but…

My maintanence cals can't really be less than 1450, right?!
Hey all, So, I WAS 1lb away from my goal weight (last week). Stats: 5'2, f, 114lbs (as of Saturday morning weigh in - Friday morning said 115!), GW is 112lbs. Since last monday I have been eating about 1450 cals/day. I have been upping my cals by 50/week, in the hopes that I would still be slowly losing but it seems like I…

3 weeks of maintaining.
Went down from 75 to about 65.5kg (169cm) and am now hovering around 52.2 for around three weeks. Been on two trips during that time where I decided not to track food (how to track doro wat and injera, or other unknown food) but everything went well. I'll keep up tracking again in due time but first I'm going on vacation…

Yo-yo
Morning all, I am so tired of yo-yoing. The same thing year after year. I've been at my maintenance weight for several years, but keep gaining weight...about 10 lbs. after I get back from the beach. I can maintain the extra weight that I gain, but I am so trying to get back at my original maintenance weight. I work so hard…

Explanation?
Hi! This is quite random but, I have been diagnosed IBS and take Smooth Move tea as per instructed by a doctor. In the mornings, when my stool is normal and "solid," my weight is usually normal or even down. If my stool is liquidy and also "diharerea-like" my weight will be up. Even when my stool is solid and I may not…

Will I ever stop thinking about food?!
It hit me this morning, just now, as a matter of fact, that all I do is think about food... A little back story, I have never been "fat". I've always thought I was "fat", I have always been on some sort of diet, deprivation plan, always striving to be thin. I gave birth to three children, the first 2 I only gain 24 lbs…

I need help
Is there someone like me? I seem to undereat rather than overeat. Can't remember the "old days/how I got chubby". Becoming a serious problem now as I can't get my head around maintenance. Also people don't seem to worry. Their constant diet attitude makes it very hard for me to eat enough....
