Hello everyone! So after going a little crazy at a wedding, a trip to my sister’s house, and Thanksgiving, I was up 5 lbs. it was probably mostly water weight because now I’m back down to my maintanence weight. I have reached this range twice before and am not good maintanence!! I need some tips for staying in my maintence…

Not going to repeat last year
Last year at this time I was inundated with Christmas cheer. I'm talking cookies, nut rolls, and food, oh the food. Well between Thanksgiving 2016 and Christmas I gained back about ten pounds. I went from 190 to 200 pounds. At 6'1" and fit I was OK with the weight, but not so OK that I had backslid and gained the weight…

I’m obsessed
Hey guys, I think many can relate to my personal concerns. As I approach my goal weight, I will of course be on maintenance, but I’m afraid. I find myself worrying that once I get to that point I will feel guilty. I have that “all or nothing” persona that I am trying to change. I want to find that happy medium and stop…

Can’t seem to maintain
I reached my GW of 125 in early November on 1300. I immediately went on vacation and gained a few lbs which quickly came off when i returned home. I got to GW again in early Dec and put my calories up to 1550. I estimated my maintainable calories based on my rate of loss whilst on 1300. However over the past few weeks I’ve…

The diet and the desk-job.
I recently transitioned from quite a full on active job to a desk job. Before I was always on my feet doing about 15-20 thousand steps a day without fail, now I do about 5,000 and I'm really struggling to adjust. My schedule doesn't really allow me to do a huge amount in terms of exercise daily as I leave the house at 7…

Can anyone estimate my body fat percentage?
I’m 5’9 160 pounds. As for background info I weighed 215 pounds in my early high school years. 4 years later and here I am, much healthier but hungry all the time and in college, unable to eat as healthily or consistently as I would like. Thanks to whoever!

Side Effects (Rant)
First off, let me say that I am glad I finally got my act together and lost the weight. I am now very comfortably at the mid-point of my healthy BMI range, and overall I feel better than I did before I went through this process. BUT I am so so so very frustrated with the side effects that just seem to be getting worse even…

What is the real truth about maintenance?
I have been on maintenance for a few days now and it has been great, although I haven’t eaten my entire maintenance calories, I’m usually under. I did weigh myself today and I am up .2. I know that’s not a huge deal, but I had that WTF moment. Now I know that as you add more food to your body it is bound to adjust due to…

The Holidays!!!

Is maintaining suppose to feel this great?
Kind of boasting here a little, I know, but gosh I worked my butt and then some to get where I am today. 5’2, 120lbs, starting weight was 171lbs so I lost 51lbs in total. Now that I’m on maintenance it feels amazing, obviously because it is such a great accomplishment, but also great because of how freeing it feels. That…

Huge stomac fat in a week
Hi I ve been running very hard at the gym and dud weight excersises as well as eating well. But last week i had two small home made pizzas and had a few crumpets and a chocolate. Calories
Hi there! I have a quick question about calories. I’m currently 1.70 m and 52 kg, but am still unsure about the amount of calories I should eat. I workout anywhere between 2-4 times a week and bike and walk everyday (15 minute bike ride to school, I average 7000 steps daily) Currently, I’m looking to change my body…

Biometric mashine screen
Hi everyone, my insurance offered a free biometric mashine screening. Anyone have done it, is it legit or a waste of time? I still haven't done dexa, but would like to find out my body fat percentage. So is it worth the early am drive? Thank you

I've binge eaten and I am now gaining back my lost weight.
I weighed 177.8 this Sunday. I've been doing a good job in not gaining back the weight I lost until this week. This week, I did binge eat fast food on Monday (which was mostly from Panera Bread), which was a breakfast sandwich from Chick Fil A, some soup from Panera bread and a small loaf of bread, and a Subway Sandwich…

Approaching maintenance...
Hi, I'm now heading towards my maintenance goal of 112lbs (currently 115 - I'm 5'3.5", body fat currently 24%) and to be honest I'd say I'm happy for maintenance to be between 112-115 to allow for fluctuations from day to day anyway. MFP sets me at 1200 calories per day to lose weight, typically I eat around 1300 plus a…

Started at size 4, skipped over 6 and now I'm an 8, but not on purpose. How do I maintain?
Here is my story and I'm sure I already know the answers, but I'd still like to hear your ideas. I've been maintaining at a size 4 for most of my life, easily, definitely does not mean I was in shape, but it was easy for me to stay there without too much effort. In the last year or so I have gained a lot of weight, blame…

Maintaining while breastfeeding
Are any of you breastfeeding? I'm very close to my goal weight and I'm at a loss as to how many calories to set maintenance to as I've lost 3.4kg in FOUR DAYS without even trying very hard. My bub is now 8.5 months old so we're really only at the start of our breastfeeding journey and I really don't want my weight to jo-jo.

Breaking the Regain Cycle
Apparently I'm a slow learner because I have had to re-learn the same lesson many times over my life. I have been living this pattern over and over since I was perhaps 20: 1) Get frustrated because my weight increases and hits a point where I don't feel good about how I look or in my body ... that's generally when I'm…

At Goal Weight ...
I've reached my goal weight but feel that I should lose a couple more kgs to allow myself a buffer in case of normal fluctuations in weight. Did you do this or do you just maintain at your goal weight quite easily? I feel with holidays coming up that this may be difficult to do, so should work towards losing more now (if I…

Afraid to add maintenance calories
I lost all the weight I intended on losing, but now that I've hit goal, I still feel chubby! I set a new goal for 3 lbs less than my original, and I don't see myself being satisfied there, either. I know it's irrational, but I'm afraid that my body's gotten used to such a small amount of food and I'll gain at what should…

Setting a Weight Range
Hi all! It feels a bit silly to ask this, but I'm feeling uncertain about it and I want my transition to maintenance to go as smoothly as possible. I've been getting close to my goal weight lately, and it occurred to me that I have no idea whether I want that goal to be at the top or bottom of my maintenance weight range.…

Is it ok that I'm gaining weight?
This has been the trend of my weight. Starting Late August: 129.6 131.2 131 131 132 132 132.4 And I weighed in this morning At 133.4 All these weights are 2 weeks apart. I go to the gym and lift weights/do cardio 5 days a week. I don't notice I'm gaining any kind of fat. Should I be worried in any way?
