Guys....what’s your real opinion on confidence in women? Like, I hear that if she’s super confident in her body it can “make up” for what some might think of as flaws.
To simplify it for some of you.....same woman, same body, same in bed...they are identical in every way. Except one is insecure about her “flaws” and it shows. The other one has a huge idgaf attitude over the same “flaws” and doesn’t care what anyone thinks about them. She still thinks she’s sexy as hell. And it shows. How much does that change the way you see her?
Again....one is not PHYSICALLY hotter than the other. They are exactly the same in bed.
Confidence trumps non confidence. Im not too worried about physical flaws at all. And really what is a flaw? Its life, and im cool with life.....makes it a hell of a lot better if my girl is too.1 -

well some girls are bad at friendships bc they do *kitten* to try to make other girls jealous or insecure like say lil manipulative things, or they like to just show only the best parts all the time and then u get skewed view of who they are and what their lives are like. social media is the worst for that too like i’m always just cringing seeing girls put up these perfect “stories” or whatever and i’m like “okay but u were crying in your car earlier when u were talking to me so...”
but sometimes i get jealous when girls have something i can never have, and i dont have any idea how to handle that, i struggle with it all the time and it sucks ♥️ like i got girlfriends with parents and siblings that are close and their kids got all these cousins and family connections, that makes me super envious6 -

With some self depreciating humor and humility to make them feel better if I value their friendship...
Although jealous people sometimes will see this as an opportunity to make you less so they can be more...
I'd probably end up distancing myself honestly...2 -

Kill the lights and carry on. Maybe even fake a power failure if he seems like he might be overly sensitive about it.2 -

I find myself envious of other girls, not usually jealous tho.
Like I want what they have (so I think) but I don't begrudge anyone anything they have that I don't
I do get jealous on rare occasion and its a horrible, low, shame-filled feeling.
...only ever have about men I really like (guess its an insecurity or fear?)
I recognize it as a "me problem" (after getting a bit ragey and cry-ey)
To actually answer your question, I have a work friend that has showed ugly jealous feelings towards me on one occasion, really bad - she was drinking. Sadly I realized her bf was antagonizing her and making her feel insecure (I don't entirely know how I fit into the situation).
I ignored it. It hurt me to see her so upset and petty. Ultimately I felt sorry for her (she is not a person to pity, she is strong and smart and kind)
She still has a competitive thing going on with me, I ignore it.
I like her and I respect her, she has many other awesome qualities, and I want her in my life.
Feeling jealousy is a horrible enough emotion - and its something you have to come to terms with in your own head.
Feeling "less than" (desirable, intelligent, fortunate - whatever) or that someone (or something? can you be jealous of things) you value deeply may be taken away from you is a mind *kitten* you need to work through on your own - no one else can truly help you (I dont think)
Sorry for derailing question a bit7 -

I find you adorable!
And I relate - we are the girls who "need the joke 'splained'" before we "get it" sometimes
...I'll just put out my guestimation?
"elephant ears" are like the (same) as funnel cakes and Beaver Tails...I think
...and if you were kidding - I didn't get it!3 -

*kitten* i didnt even think about men
if i get jealous about a guy its bc i know he not really that into me or he not committed to me and i prolly want that but dont know how to get it
the girl is just secondary and i prolly hate myself for not liking her
then i get like overwhelmed feeling worthless, like trash without any value at all
i know its stupid as hell to make your value based on that but i’m working on it ♥️5 -

Thank you for this heartfelt post! I found it very inspiring! When I get jealous of other women (and I don't think I really get jealous of men, unless it's the fact they build muscle more easily and usually have a higher calorie allotment. . . )it's usually because I am jealous of their happiness and sense of direction (whether it's real or just a show). Like I feel jealous because they seem to know what they want, and I never know what I want (one of those emotionless girls as mentioned in another one of the questions). And your post made me recognize this is a ME thing. I wouldn't stop talking with a women I am jealous of though, I'd actually probably try to figure out what makes her that way and/or attempt to humanize her more so I can see that life isn't one big Instagram filter. But I agree, jealous is a low feeling. I am glad it is something that we can improve within ourselves.
And I dunno if anyone has ever been jealous of me. In all honestly, I think I am bit naive. Also definitely related to the cry-ey bit, that's how I process my emotions I don't understand. A good old fashioned wail usually sorts it out temporarily.3 -

I’ve been the jealous ‘friend’. It was impossible for me to be an actual friend to her though. Nope, it was a steady diet of pettiness and resentment and oh my god, the schadenfreude
Sad thing is, she really saw me as a good friend. She didn’t know that her confessions of failure and self-doubt were things I craved rather than had empathy for. I hate that I was ever that person even as I understand why I was that person.
So.. I don’t think it’s really possible to call it a friendship at all if there’s jealousy, honestly5 -

i have major insecurity in how i look and sometimes even hate my body and have been told like * a lot * that its a major turn off and i can def see why bc confident people are more attractive. i basically have just learned to fake confidence sometimes but that *kitten* wears me out so mostly i avoid it all
Who are these people telling you it’s a turn-off, my god talk about kicking someone when they’re down. “I have flaws that I worry are a turn-off” “ew don‘t talk about them that’s a turn-off”
seriously wth6 -

I have a lot of "flaws" but figured out at a young age its probably better to not draw people's attention to them, like don't say "I hate my *kitten*", then other people may look at your *kitten* any think " she's right, her *kitten* sucks". Dosen't mean I'm confident tho.
Learned this from hearing my friends critiquing themselves, like I never payed attention to Kelly's big thighs or Angie's nose especially, until they pointed it out.
I was ridiculously self-conscious as a teen. I had horrible horrible acne. Like small kids asked why my face looked like pizza and *kitten* like that
Honestly I was probably no more self-conscious than anyone else though really.
Anyway, one of my favorite comments came from my best friend’s mom one night. She was very no-nonsense and pragmatic. When she overheard us feeling embarrassed about how we looked or something, she just said “pshh, nobody’s looking at you anyway”. We looked at her in complete shock and she laughed at how bad it had come out. We still laugh about it every time we’re together, but what she meant was that EVERYONE is self-conscious, therefore no one is fixating on you like you are. I found it to be SO SO reassuring. It literally became a mantra of sorts whenever I was feeling super self-conscious.5 -

Ladies...
A guy who pushes you to do more and improve, or a guy who accepts you just as you are and can careless about pushing you?
snip
What I'm saying is... Never ever give up on yourself...
If he is meant to be around, he'll learn to accept you for the way you are 💕[/quote]
The guy who pushes me to do more is a person I would very soon get annoyed with. The guy who accepts me as I am is the one. Bonus points if, like Whatsisface, he occasionally acknowledges my hard work and dedication where he sees it.1 -

I can have that preference, he can do as he pleases.
Whatsisface doesn't care what he looks like, so sometimes I express a preference, and he either does or doesn't do it. Over quarantine, he gets very shaggy, gets tired of it, then buzzes his hair and shaves.0 -

Depends. If there's a romantic history already, it's fun. Whatsisface and I do it.
