Advice?
I started run camp today. In the beginners group. First mile was 18:50 and I was dead last, although I only walked 3 times for roughly 90 seconds each. I tried to keep my head on my own pace, and to stay slow so I could go further but I can't help but be a bit disappointed in my showing tonight. True, I haven't done any…

Bulky key fob woes
What do you guys do with your bulky key fobs? I have one of those huge ones with my car remote on it, as well as my house key, car key, and pepper spray. I've been holding it in my hand, but it's sort of a pain. Any ideas?

Just joined this group
Hello all. I am going to see a podiatrist this week and get checked. I may need orthotics. I want to avoid injuries if possible. I will be able to start slowly with the walk/run and I am hoping that I can get up to 30 straight minutes of running by 12/15 (about 12 weeks). I will try to keep in touch with you and give…

Hello fellow C5Kers2
Hi everyone, I've been doing the c25k for about a year now. I felt so proud after finishing week 3 that I gave myself 40 weeks off... I'm back on it and am currently on week 7 day 2 but I have a couple of questions, any help would be awesome. I'm doing this inside the gym on a treadmill one an incline of 1.5 and speed of…

Loving the running but..
Right now I am running on the treadmill, and feeling good. My fear is when its time for me to take it to the streets... I tried running last night on the streets and my legs felt like they where going to break... I don't want to run the treadmill only, I am only three weeks into my 5k running app...will I ever be able to…

Runners embarrassing question
So, here it is, what are some of the solutions to men's nipple pain when running. All of a sudden, end of week 7 of c25k, they are hurting like hell :(

Today I Saw ...
When I do C25K, I drive to a nearby dirt road that wends its way through fields and forests. This way, I can take my dog with me, and let her run around off leash. As I was heading back to the car today, a family of 3 skunks crossed the road about 30 meters in front of us. Thank God my dog listened and stayed with me…

Struggling
Hi everybody!! I've been struggling with week 3. Day 1 I felt those 3 minute runs were everlasting, I finished it super tired. And today, day 2, I couldn't finish it in the morning as my calves hurt a lot. :confounded: I did try again later today and did finish, but I went extremely slow- I don't even think you can call it…

Mapmyrun, Runkeeper or Runtastic for treadmill and outdoor
which is best? I'm on the treadmill in the am and out with the dogs later. Which would be good for tracking both? I like the fact that Runkeeper will track without having to turn it on.

Hey I prefer to run than walk. ..the weight piled on and I could barely walk much less run. Help!!!!!!!

Track Miles ran
I am surprised by the distance I am starting to run/walk each week and wanted a easy way to track it.As I run on a treadmill or use an elliptical GPS trackers are a over kill. I looked at runkeeper but it looks like you are meant to run it during your work out. I have C25K going and Pandora so did not need another app…

Rest Days
Heya! I just finished W2D1 and I am feeling great! I am already noticing improvements :) Well...the other day I was out and about walking outside and I got an urge to just jog a wee bit and I ended up jogging half a mile without stopping. That is huge deal for me! With that said, that day was my rest day and I am not sure…

Saying hello
Hello and good morning! I just restarted C25K yesterday and this is it for me. I had completed it several years ago but stopped running when I found out I was pregnant and it took me awhile to start up again. But I am back and this time it is for good. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Is there a "pre C25K" plan?
I read the tips pinned to the top of the group and I've done them all. I'm under a doctor's care and on medication. my doctor wants me to lose weight. This summer is the second time I've tried to start c25K - the first time was in the winter. Each time I've started it, within a week I've developed serious respiratory…

1st sucessful run
Hi Everyone, Just a quick post to introduce myself to the group. I went on my first official run today! I needed something to mix up my typical workouts so I downloaded the C25K app. I am surprised how much I didn't hate it, lol. Other things about me. I'm a 33 year old single mom living in the high country of Colorado.…

30mins < 5km
Soooooo, I run much slower than the app anticipates. I do treadmill on an incline and barely get faster than 5.3k/h. So by the end of my cooldown and 40mins of activity it says I've done 3.5km. Which is great, I'm happy with that. HOWEVER, I am entirely pooped by the end of my run, and still not running 5k. I'm hoping to…

Just finished w6d3 and freaking out a bit
Just looked at week 7 and week 8 and starting to get nervous. It took 6 weeks to run 15min straight and now in two weeks we get to 30 min? I know that I need to believe in myself and the program, but it does seem daunting!

7 Weeks Couch to Spartan Sprint
Did my first run yesterday after coming off of a year of being laid up due to injuries. Did a mile in just over 10 minutes. Legs are pathetically weak. Going to have to go hard for the next 7 weeks because that race has some serious hills. Yikes!

Can I really run 5K??
So I have NEVER been a runner. I am not in the best shape atm after 2 kiddies but I was reasonably active previously with yoga, gym, bike.. just never running. I have started the 5K program and currently on W3D2. I had a quick look at the programs as the weeks go by and it seems daunting!!!! Can I really run 5k in such a…

Doubts after first 5K
I hadn't run since high school, more than 20 years ago. As part of my plan to improve my cardiac fitness, I started C25K a couple of months back and finished it last week. I didn't have any major struggles along the way, but was going too slow and didn't cover much distance because I was concentrating on running time…

Jon Stewart & Tom Cruise
Hi guys! Did anyone see Jon Stewart interview Tom Cruise a few nights ago? He talks about how he just started c25k. Link below. The whole interview is about 7 min but if you want to skip ahead to when he mentions c25k, it's at around the 4:10 mark... on.cc.com/1JunjtP

Heart Pain
I've never used the message boards before so excuse me if I do something wrong. I found a c25k podcast scheme on the NHS website and was eager to try it out, but less than halfway into the first session (in which you run for 60 seconds and walk for 90, I don't know if that's standard or not) I had to give up because my…

Restart
I was doing well on the program and was going on to week 4 until I stopped due to a shoulder injury. I am clear to start doing the program again but I have not done anything for about 3 weeks now. Do I start completely over or start over week 3?

Setting the bar low for myself.
I've been lurking in this group, picking up tips as I prepare myself to start the program while I do a lot of walking to build on my stamina the past month. So today on my lunch break at work I was taking my 20min walk/jog in the parking lot. I felt so good that I picked up the pace and was able to clear a lot more…
