About to start again. Anyone want to join me?
I started C25k about 8 weeks ago. I got 1 and a half weeks in then broke my toe and had to stop. Went for a few 5 km walks this week with no pain so thinking of kicking of the C25K challenge again. Does anyone want to join me? I think I will do W1R1 tomorrow.

Question about heart rate
I am currently on week 4, which I chose to repeat, so this is my second week on that week. I was feeling like the runs were too hard the first time, and I was hoping to get a little more comfortable and faster the second time around before moving up. I do all my running on a treadmill in my house. I did the first 3 weeks…

Shin Splint advice
So a little running history: I ran track in highschool 400M 4x400, 800M, 4x800. During the season I developed shin splints and ran through them. This was 1999-2001. In the last few years, whenever I start to run, after a few weeks my shins would start hurting again. Just recently I now get pain in a matter of days. Ive…

group for after C25K? First 10k
I graduated from C25K a while ago, however, only at the beginning of January did I run 5km under 40 minutes for the first time. Yes, I'm really slow and have serious problems getting faster for some reason. Anyway, I've been training for my first 10k, which will take place in just about 10 days if it doesn't cancelled due…

How do I get from Week 8 to actually being able to run 5K?
I finished C25K - on my treadmill - a few weeks ago. But at that point, the total distance I was going was less than 2.5 miles (walking 10 minutes @ 3.4 MPH, running 30 minutes @ 3.8 MPH). While I'm not actually planning on entering a 5K, I would like to actually be able to run 5K. I just not sure how to get there from…

I'm on week five and, after running day 2 on Thursday, my thighs (quads) hurt so bad yesterday and are still sore today. Should I do my 20 minutes today, or rest another day?

Hoka (look like little Boat Shoes)
Does anyone else with knee arthritis use Hoka shoes? They are very light, but have a lot of special foam in the mid foot, and are "rockers". At my trainers suggestion I bought a pair, and I was able to run 4 miles on my 62 birthday and no knee pain! then I ran 3 miles on Christmas, and hiked 6 miles on Sun. after…

What week to start after injury?
Hey everyone. I was up to a 10k this fall but had to take a break due to a hip injury. I haven't ran in more than 6 weeks. I want to try to get back. Is it best to just start all over with week 1 or do you think I can start in week 3?

Just finished my first week but already ran a 5k
So a little back story. I started C25K 2 yrs ago and after completing week 4 I hurt my leg and stopped running. I then went back to the lazy over eating ways and gained back the 30 lbs I had lost plus an extra 10 lbs. I decided on the 18th of august 2015 it was time for me to start over for my 2 young girls and my wife. I…

C25K for the obese
Hi, I love running and would adore to get back into it soon. I'm losing weight at the moment but am still very very overweight and very very very unfit. I'm starting with walking every day this week. Any tips for starting running at this weight?

Second time!
Hi Everyone! I completed the C25K originally in early 2014 and ran a few 5k and 10k races over the next 6months. Then I fell off my bike and broke my arm and just completely lost all motivation :( Am back to my original weight now so need to get myself sorted! Did Day 1 today and it didn't feel nearly as bad as Day 1 the…

Charity Runs
Did you know you can run a 5k, 10k, half, or full marathon for a charity? https://virtualstrides.com/faq/ offers a monthly charity, complete with racing bib and medal. Typical fees are $28. You don't even have to run/walk the entire distance at one time, you can break it into smaller chunks. Once you've completed the…

C25k: Time or Distance
Just finished w5. Noticed that it said jog 2 miles or 20 minutes. I can do the 20 (even 22), but because I'm slow, I certainly don't get 2 miles in. Should I work to get to the mileage level or continue meeting the time?

When can you advance to every day running?
I'm in week 5, and feel I have better runs when I run on consecutive days. When should I increase from every other day to 5 running days per week?

What to do in rain?
This may be a stupid question, is it wrong to go walking/jogging in light rain? I'm new to C25K, I want to keep up with the programme but I don't want to catch a cold or anything. It wouldn't be a problem if I wear layers, right? (Yes, I'm seeking some reassurance.)

Finally graduated!
Yiha! Yesterday I finally graduated from C25K! I used to be a regular here. Sometime in June I had managed to run for 28 minutes. But then I went on a vacation, and when I returned the temperature had gone up from 29 to about 35C, and I could not keep it up anymore. As the temperature continued to rise to over 40 (after…

Just finished week 2 day 2 of c25k!!
First off yay! For sticking with it. But I have been tracking my distance with endomondo while doing the c25k. Which is why I am posting. Can anyone give me any tips or reasons as to why my distance is getting shorter? I am about a 1/4 mile shorter from day 1. Any help and insight would greatly be appreciated.

Starting slow - looking for videos of correct warmup- cool down
I'm new to running and I'm taking it super slow. Instead of going for distance, I'm going for time actually running. Day 1 - 8 mins without stopping. Day 2 - 13 mins without stopping. tomorrow, I'll try to go 15 mins or longer. So far, with such slow short times, I haven't had any injuries or issues yet. But, I've also not…

Pace question
I know the typical advice is to run slowly, and that you should be able to hold a conversation while running, but... I've found that my *legs* feel a lot better running about .5mph faster than the pace I've generally gone.* It's definitely more intense in terms of breathing and I don't know if I could really hold a…

Form, for beginners
I tried C25K several months ago and had to take a long break due to tendonitis in both Achilles. Now I'm starting over with new fitted shoes and a promise not to push myself too hard. I'm also trying to figure out what proper running form is, to minimize injury. I thought I was following my high school gym teacher's advice…
