Not losing weight
I’m on week 2 of this and it seems like the first few days I lost a little and now I’m fluctuating up and down but not further down than those first few days. I’m logging everything and weighing food. I don’t understand why I’m not losing.

Slow weight loss
Hi, I've started again. Motivation to continue after the initial couple of weeks is a weakness. I have lost 3lb in 3 weeks, I know I shouldn't be disappointed but can't help it. Lost half an ounce this week. Been eating up to 1450 and this week going to try 1200. I need to move more I know. Help needed.

I track everything I eat and stay constantly under my calories (1900 a day) I eat protein, some carbs. I do have a couple drinks in the evening but it’s only vodka soda or tequila soda (and I track…

I’m 35 now, and I’m stepping back into this community with a mix of excitement and curiosity about where this journey will take me. Back in…

Exercise Calories why I don't use them.
Hi, I don't believe my exercise calories, they are estimates and I turn my off for weight loss in MFP. I cycle and it can say I burned 400 calories to 600 calories for the same ride, at the same watts. I know on days that I ride I can add a few more calories, but no where near what the exercise was. Who I am: 57 year old…

Just starting MFP and leaving for a cruise!
Hi! I am new to MFP and figuring this all out; however, one timely and essential question I have is how to properly log/track my food consumption while on a cruise. Almost all my meals will consist of no bar scans (which is all I know how to do at the moment) and a tad nervous I will fall back in to old habits if I don’t…

I have hypothyroidism and I have struggled for 10 years with my yo-yoing
I did keto last year and it worked I lost almost 30 lbs then I stopped doing keto and almost gained all the weight back. Now I’m not bashing keto I liked it, I felt good but I got bored and I guess burned out from it. I just wanted to eat different things and expand my variety. I just ate the same stuff every day and once…

How accurate is myfitnesspal calorie tracker?
Hi, so I’ve used my fitness pal on and off for years but it seems a bit off compared to other trackers I’ve used. When I plug my stats into a calorie calculator most of them say my maintenance calories is around 2100-2200 but my fitness pal says my maintenance is almost 2600. 500 calories off. How accurate has everyone…

Lost 27 on intermittent fasting, gained 18 back :(
Last year I lost 27 on intermittent fasting, going from 187 to 159.8, then added exercises, and started having more appetite, ended up slowly going off the fasting schedule, to eating like everyone else in the house, 3 meals a day, mostly healthy, but probably more calories than needed, causing me to gain 18 back in the…

Can I eat my calories burned?
maybe a stupid question, but I’m new here. If my calorie goal is 1500, but I exercise and burn 1000 calories (I run long distances) and the total now increases to 2500cal, am I “allowed” to eat over and above the 1500cal…? Not the full 1000cal amount of course, but just somewhere in between?

App Friends?
Hi All, I haven't been in here in a long time. I want to try using the App to track consistency (weigh & measure eating). No commitment whatsoever. Just a minimalistic tool of mutual aid. I am already familiar with a food plan. Would I make a separate post? Thank you. Eric PS-or, if you already use any habit tracker, can I…

Calorie Defecit?
I will be honest, I tried to google my deficit and I chose 1500 as my daily calories. I saw a dietitian one time and she told me to increase to 1700-1800. I feel like I’m hitting a stall in my weight loss. I’m fluctuating more often and I feel concerned about gaining the weight back. It’s been very hot out and my asthma…

1350~ish cal a day, estimated extreme weight loss?
hello, I am about 89.5-90.5 lbs, fluctuates sorta. I have eaten about 1350 calories today, when saying I completed my diary, it said I’d be about 87.5 lbs in 5 weeks, but 1350 seems like quite a lot for that to be the case, is this true? I’m not very active, at all if I’m being honest, I know I’m quite lazy. I tried to see…

What exercises can I do as a beginner? (And advices on my calorie intake after starting to work out)
I want to start working out again to hopefully tone my body and lose weight steadily. The thing is, I haven't worked out for three years now and I don't know what exercises I should do. And!, I can't do running or walking anymore because I need to work early and I finish late, so all I can do are home exercises. Also, I'm…

Hi all! My first post here since "coming back." An accident in 2022 laid me up for over a year. I have done all the protocol with PT etc, and am FINALLY "on the other side." I had gained weight due to laying around recuperating (broken ribs, internal bruising, punctured lungs) but have lost a solid 10 - 12 of it. The…
