Body Fat Analyzers
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FYZMYK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER ^^ That one gets good reviews and because I'm currently somewhere in the super unhealthy 50% range, I want to keep an eye on that as one of my measurements as well. In order of priority: body fat percentage, measurements in inches,…

How many calories do I eat? TDEE/BMR confusion.
I apologize in advance to be another person to post a similar question. I have read and read other questions and responses, but I am still struggling in figuring this all out. I have a bodybugg so I know my TDEE is 2050 calories burned total without exercise on a day that I would say watch tv on the couch all day. BMR:…

Don't yell at me but.....
Last week was pretty much horrible for me. After two yrs, my fiance & I split up :( I was pretty much a wreck and (true-to-form), I didn't eat. I also didn't work out. UGH! Yesterday I managed a short walk with a friend and today I did actually get 3 'meals' in my stomach. I wanted to lift but pulled a muscle yesterday…

Less Calories = Cold, More Calories = Hot
Has this happened to anyone? When I was in the low-cal kick, I was freezing. ALL THE TIME. Summer. Winter. Didn't matter. I was cold. Hoodies and blankets in an apartment at 70 degrees. My average body temperature was about 97.8*F. Now that I'm a week into higher calorie eating, it's the opposite. HOT all the time. No…

Newbie with questions. :)
Hi there! I'm so happy to have found this group! I found myself stalled out and bouncing up and down the same pound or two over the last six weeks, after losing 50 pounds in the year prior. I kept shaking my head and thinking "I'm doing everything right! Why am I not losing?" And getting more and more frustrated. I was…

WORKOUT PLAN
Can some you ladies/men tell me what is your current workout plan while on Eating More? I hear the best method is three days of lifting and 2 days of 20 min of some type of HIIT cardio. If you are currently using this method? What type of HIIT are you doing on cardio days?

I'm so glad I was told about this group!
I can't tell you how sad it makes me when I read that people are eating way under their calories every day. I see it all the time, esp big girls eating 1100 cals a day. Really??? Or thinner girls eating far less than that....makes me sad really. We are so deceived into thinking if we starve ourselves we will lose weight!…

What do you do when you're under calorie goal but you've met
I'm under in calories today, esp net, but I'm very close (if not already at) my macros. And I'm over in my sodium. So where do I add? I need to add calories but can't really afford to eat any more carbs, protein, fat or sodium!!!

My 30 day results!!
Most of you know I've been doing the Jillian Michael's Body Revolution. Just completed the first Phase and while I love the workout program, I'm not following her meal plan because it's only 1200 cals. I joined this group and slowly increased my cals from 1400 to 1700 over the last 4 weeks. While my weight has gone up and…

Eating disorders Some interesting information here
I found the decription of how and how long it takes for the body to recover from restrictive extreme low calorie diets very interesting. I think its worth reading. http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/health-support/helping-starvation-mode-down#3

Before and After
I just wanted to show a 6 month difference from my transition from eating 1200 calories and no weight lifting to eating about 1600-2000 calories and weight lifting.

working out activity level
OK guys I have been told that my understanding of activity levels is a bit off and i know in the Sticky on working out activity level ANewLucia comments on how most people underestimate their activity level. LOL So I am a disability support worker so i am not as busy as say as nurse would be. On a 7.5 hour shift, the first…

I upped my calories last week
Hi guys, I was encouraged to post here after upping my calories last week. First off the reason for doing so, was because I was really struggling. I would do ok on my 1400 calories a day for about 3 days in a row and then I would feel so deprived I would eat everything in sight. It was a endless cycle in the past month.…

I am eating more but...
Hi, I have been in this group for roughly a week I think, since last April 3rd maybe? Well my story is that I have been on MFP since March 6th, my first 2 weeks I lost around 2.5 pounds each, since then I have stalled. SINCE week TWO! I have of course kept with it and have tracked every day, and up until last Tuesday I…

Would someone mind helping me out...IDK what I should do
I'm stuck and need some help!!! I started upping my calories from 1400ish the beginning of February to 1940 (per heybales "eating for the future you" group which also coincides with the fattofitradio.com site as well. I also recently read New rule of weight lifting for women and this is just slightly under what they…

Question about hunger?
Over the last 3-4 weeks, I've increased my cals slowly. Went from 1400 to 1500 to 1600 and I'm now at 1700 (my TDEE - 20% is 1711 but I like round numbers...I'm anal that way). Now that I'm at 1700, over the last few days I've noticed I'm hungrier more often, which is strange because I feel like I'm eating every 2-3 hours.…

struggling to eat more
I've been eating around 500 - 700 calories per day for a while now, and after losing a few pounds, my weight loss has now come to a complete stop. MFP tells me that I need to be eating at least 1200 calories, but I really struggle to even reach 1000... 700 calories fills me up, so eating any more just makes me feel sick…

Which site do you all use to figure out your BMR and TDEE?
I've noticed that several different sites give varying information and it can get confusing. I finally ended up going by the numbers given to me from Fat2Fit Radio after seeing that quite a few people have gotten accurate numbers from that site. So I'm just curious if you all used a specific site to get your numbers or if…

Couple questions (weight training cal burn & body measuremen
Couple questions: 1. How do you calculate your calories expended during a weight lifting only workout? In the past I've used my HRM (mostly to cue sets) but also as a ball park for cals burned (although I usually cut 30% from the number my HRM reports b/c I've heard they aren't reliable for this). Usually I eat back almost…

Rest days and eating more than normally?
I have a couple question I used to eat no fat and less than 1200 calories so this has been a real transshipment for me but I love it I have energy and am maintaining my weight while losing inches! My question is I notice when I eat over my tdee with a 15% deficit meaning I eat also some exercise calories back I either lose…

Mayo Clinic Supports "Reduce your Calories by 200 more"
They even state in the article that plateaus happen because your metabolism drops with a low calorie diet because of a loss of muscle... THEN they turn around and state "if you are at a plateau, drop your calories by 200 and do more exercise" - so basically if you are at a plateau: eat less, work harder, and lose the…

Finding your magic number (calories)
I just read a post at coachcalorie.com that shows you how to figure out your that magic (calorie) number for weight loss on your own (I've found that the TTE calculators are all off and give you different numbers) Basically it tells you to start at 2000 calories, then if you are experiencing weight loss to up your calories…

Wanted to say hello.
I am new to this group but not to MFP. I have been on here since 2009. I actually didn't even know groups existed here. Anyway, I gained about 24+ lbs in college and by the time I graduated I got it off, first by using WW then just by exercising and portion control and drinking more water. I've kept the weight off for…

Strained neck muscle lifting? Chalean Extreme
I also posted this in the main forum, but thought I might get some responses here. :) I am on my second week of Chalean Extreme. Which has 3 heavy lifting days and 2 cardio days. Last week after my first lifting day I noticed that I felt like I had a lump in my throat when I would swallow, right in the front in the middle,…

Having trouble - need advice
