Is this normal for your first day in?
Hey Guys, If you saw my other thread, I just started today with the "Eat more to weigh less" program. Well my caloric intake has been aroun 1000-1200 for the past couple of weeks (starving myself) but I was never really hungry during that period. So today, I am going for my TDEE -20% goal of 3000-3100 calories. Its noon, I…

I could use a little hand holding, please.
Ok, I know you guys likely see dozens of these topics a day, but I'm about to lose my mind over here. A couple weeks ago, three to be precise, I found the "In the place of a road map" thread by HelloitsDan. I thought I had a breakthough and upped my calories from 1000-ish a day to 1550 NET, as that is what the sites listed…

Please help I'm lost with all these numbers
I am a 26 yr old female weighing 118.3 as of my last unofficial weigh in this morning. I am moderately active I guess since I work out 5 days a week doing Chalean extreme, and am a home daycare provider so I'm on the move a lot. I read the first post for this group and figured out my BMR as 1334 according to the link, my…

Working on upping cals, but tired ALL the time
So for the first couple of months I was on MFP, I was consistently eating between 1800-2100 calories. Then I discovered this group and Fat2Fit radio and realized I needed to up my calories in all likelihood to avoid screwing up my metabolism (with a missing thyroid due to cancer in my teens, I don't need any help in the…

The things we do to get those protein calories!
Ok bad planning on my part, I've eaten my cupboards bare this week! My local shop has run out of cottage cheese (not me! lol) I went to get a tin of tuna out of my cupboard to get in some protein & they've all gone! but... I find a tin of mixed beans lurking at the back of the cupboard, eat half for snack but really can't…

Need help and clarification...
Hello, I need a little help. Kinda confused but wanna try this. :P I workout 3 times a week. Weight lifting with only about 10 minutes of HIIT once or twice a week. HIIT doesn't burn too many calories per session since it's pretty short. Usually about 50-60 cals. My TDEE (light exercise) is: 1890 Cut + TDEE is: 1607 My…

Fitness frog has my TDEE at 2400 with moderate activity level. So I set my MFP goal at 1900. Just made this change last Monday so I understand I may not see a change yet..........and I…

I've read that some of you are taking this supplement. The directions say to take 3 with every meal. Well, i am eating 6 small meals a day, so that seems excessive. :) How many are you taking and when? TIA

My BMR is 1641 and my calorie goal is 2150, today I ran and burned almost 500 calories. Right now I'm at 2211 food, net 1700. Is that ok on a regular basis? Or should I not go above BMR net?

Water Retention Question...
Ok, is it seriously possible to gain 1 pound per day of water if the only thing I've changed about my diet since eating more is eating more?! I haven't changed my salt intake or anything (and since I don't eat a lot of prepackaged foods or add salt to my food it can't have gone up that much with the additional food…

New and this doesn't seem right
I posted a post on MFP yesterday morning which didn't garner much response: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/563996-do-i-need-to-eat-more So I came here and read, and read, and then read some more. I am now utterly confused. I had followed "Helloitsdan" information on finding my BMR and my moderate calories and then…

Feeling Discouraged :(
When I started Insanity 38 days ago, I went from eating around 1200 calories a day to 1750. About two weeks ago, I upped my calories to 15% below my TDEE, so I've been eating at 2025. I don't have a heart rate monitor, but I keep track of my pulse while doing Insanity (stays between 130-160 for each workout). On my rest…

I'm feeling so frustrated
I started this journey the last week of January. I dropped 10 lbs the first month, I had gained them in the few weeks before that, water weight? Not sure. I've only lost 10 lbs since then. I know it's still a lose but this isn't normal for me. A couple years ago, I got good at this journey and lost 30 lbs in 2 months, a…

Travel
I have to travel at least twice a month for work. I have figured out how to keep in my exercise routine but am having a hard time with my diet. I recently upped my calories and have struggled to hit my goal when I'm home but it's even worse when I'm on the road. Today I had meetings that cut into lunch causing me to grab…

Just a quick question..and then some lol
I changed my goals to 1900 calories but I still am putting my exercise calories in to make sure I'm netting my BMR at least... knowing that my workouts are included in the 1900..That's alright right? or should I figure it out on my own? Might take me some time to get the hang of A: eating more and B: staying at my fat…

easy way to increase calories?
I'm having a hard time reaching an acceptable amount of net calories. I am a runner and usually have pretty high calorie burns. What kind of quick things can I add to increase them? My only problem is that I am a bit of a picky eater. Do you add protein drinks? or protein bars? I have 2 little kids and am often eating on…

I am a bottomless pit...eat
I have been slowly upping my cals (started at 1400 in March and bounced around for awhile) and finally arriving at my 15% cut TDEE (~1855) last week. I almost always net that TDEE (aka I eat my exercise cals back). I thought at this point my stomach would be satisfied with my intake (eating almost 2100 cals on exercise…
