iPhone calorie adjustment decreases when adding a manual workout
I'm pretty sure I understand the way exercise adjustments work: When I signed up for MFP I put that I have a sedentary lifestyle. With the iphone integration I see that as I walk the calorie adjustment goes up and therefore I can eat more calories to still hit my goal calorie deficit for the day. What seems weird is I…

Unable to add new exercises to the strength training module
Hi all, I have just rejoined MFP after many years not tracking my macros, however since having to go dairy-free (not by choice!) I would really like to see what my macros look like these days and where they are coming from with this new dietary restriction. In re-familiarizing myself with the app, I noticed there is a…

Hikes, Deficits, and Muscles!
I went for a hike with some friends a week ago. Turns out that you need Mountain Goating 101 to survive a hike! Weather sucked. Slogged around for a good 7 hours. Fitbit had a fit and clocked 320 floors, over 40,000 steps, and more than 5,000 calories. Every "floor" had to be climbed down with no extra credit for bad…

Hi, everyone!
I joined MFP about 2 weeks ago and started tracking my diet. I'm a 62 year female and would LOVE some fitness advice! I have found that most of the exercise programs on the app are really geared more toward fitter individuals even though they made be tagged as "beginner". Your thoughts and recommendations are greatly…

Hello
I am Christine, here to get my weight down for health reasons. Prediabetic and knee issues, I have been told surgery in my future and weight loss would slow it down and be better for recovery later. And I have battled thyroid cancer since 2014 and was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2022.

Food diary not deleting items fully
Hi, I have recently started using the app again on iOS and today I mistakenly logged a meal. I deleted it but in the app it is still showing on some of the pages. For example, it has me as having over eaten by a few thousand calories (I havent) on the main diary page, but logged calories is correct on the nutrition…

Time-Restricted Eating - Early Shift
Seems 99% of IF people say the are Late Shift TRE. I have yet to see a poster who is trying TRE, likes it, is going to continue on with it, and follows an early shift. The 99% will respond with "I would but," "I just can't," "My astrologer told me," etc. Where are my happy, successful, early shift TRE people?

"Patients say keto helps with their mental illness. Science is racing to understand why."
Yesterday on "All Things Considered," I heard this interesting piece about keto for mental health (mostly for bi-polar but also schizo-affective disorder and schizophrenia.) There are also studies ongoing for depression, anorexia, alcoholism and PTSD. The title has the positive. Here are some negatives:…

The Rewards of Losing Weight
My lovely wife of 44.6 years has stuck by my side as I have gone from 427lbs. down to my current weight of 288. She said she had a reward for me. It was one chocolate chip peanut butter cookie. I only ate one of them cuz that's all she gave me. But, it was at least 6 inches in diameter. I ate it all! Groovy. :D

Exercise membership companies adding GLP1s (Ozempic, Wegovy, etc) into their plans/memberships?
Hi fitness pals, I've been hearing a bunch about membership exercise-focused companies (ex. Weight Watchers) introducing GLP1 Receptor Agonist drugs (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, etc) into their routines and pairing them with memberships and things like that. Has anyone heard of/seen/experienced this?

Nutribullet
Recently I was gifted a nutribullet and I am in LOVE with it!!! It is the easiest thing to use ever. My favorite smoothie to make is a cup of blueberries, half a banana and water, milk is super good too but more cals. You don’t even need the banana then it’s not even 50 calories and it’s so good for you! I stocked my…
