So I have come to the conclusion I seem to be not eating enough, I only just started logging my food intake and I have put in my past couple of weeks and on average they are about 800-1100. I have read some forums on MFP and everyone has jumped ship when someone says they are on a 1200 diet so I got a bit worried. My…

Help me decide: cut further then bulk or recomp now
I am within a couple of pounds of my goal weight (currently 203 shooting to compete at 198), but I'm finding myself still around 17% body fat. I'd hoped to get down to at least 12 and try to hold around there, but I'm also really hoping to seriously pursue my strength goals so I don't particularly want to keep cutting too…

Exercise/Weigt Loss/Maintenance Advice
This is actually a question for my husband, who uses MFP but not the forums. I know there are a lot of really serious workout people here - I am not one of them. My husband was around 60 pounds overweight. He lost 40 pounds through strict diet, got ill, lost a foot of his intestines, and regained 25. For the last year he's…

When you get to the weight you want to be at, do you just adjust your goals on mfp and immediately start eating your maintenance calories? Or how does it work? I don't have far to go, so i'm wondering how it works. Thanks for the help!

Questions...
I weighed myself a few weeks ago and I was 156.0. Ever since then when I weigh myself, it's always around the 162 area and never seems to be going down. I don' know how this happened in a matter of a few weeks, I know it's water weight but I don't know how to get myself back down to the 156.0 range. I'm currently trying to…

Why am I losing weight?
I've been attempting to gain/maintain my weight and have managed to lose 3 lbs. I've recently started working out a lot more aggressively but have been eating back the calories it is saying i'm burning. Getting in all my water
This topic has been posted many times, but I'm looking for new, helpful opinions. I love water, and never had trouble drinking 64 oz a day. As a matter of fact, I was hospitalized for overhydration at one point!! Recently though, I'm really struggling to be consistent with my intake. I know thirst has nothing to do with…

I lost weight without doing weight training, so now i'm a flabby loose skin mess...lol. I have lost 87 pounds so far. I now do weight…

readjusting calorie goal
So I had a very good year in 2013, losing 30 or so pounds, and recalculating my daily calorie goal upward a couple of times along the way. Now that the holidays are over, and I've gained back about 10 points, I need MyFitnessPal to recalculate my calorie goal downward again so I can get back to where I was, which was…

Obese once... obese forever?
If you were obese once and lost weight through constantly being on a calorie deficit, when you 'maintain', is your TDEE (?) lower than other people of the same weight? As in, if I lose weight to 200 lbs by being on a calorie deficit for one year, and I find out that my 'maintenance' required to maintain my weight at 200lbs…

"Stay at your curent weight!"
I was 174 then lost 46 pounds. My family especially my husband said I should gain more. Increased my calorie intake to 2000. So now I was 140 and everyone said "stay where you are." I kept eating and the vacations came. I gained more and now am sitting at 148 pounds on this new year's eve. I know I have to lose the pounds.…

Why does MFP say I will gain?
When I enter my foods and exercise and then finish out the day the little ticker usually says "if every day was like today you would weigh xxx in 5 weeks" I weigh 110. Set at maintenance to stay at 110. Today I ate all my calories plus ate back all of my exercise calories but 2. MFP says that in five weeks I would weigh…

maintaining in ed recovery

New to maintaining
Hey all, I'm new to maintaining and it seems like my calories per day is very high. At 6'5, 218lbs my base is around 2,900 (not to mention on my long run and long swim days it could add 500-1000 calories). For those who have been on maintenance do you find your calorie suggestions to be good for you or did you adjust them?…

Eat maintenance calories when sick?
I'm feeling kind of sick right now so I'm asking this just in case I really fall ill. When you guys are sick do you still stick to eating your maintenance calories? Or do you just eat whatever you want? But when we are sick we tend to eat a lot lesser, do you eat those calories back once you have recovered?
