Tortoise and the Hare
I've always been a little overweight all my life, borderline between obese and overweight at times, but never in the normal category. It's never bothered me too much because I was extremely active in dance, but such is the way of dance classes, I was pretty much always the biggest girl there. I had lots of attempts in my…

I lost 50lbs in under 80 days with the help of Trizepatide
Male 42, 5’10 starting weight 254.5 (on May 3rd) current weight 204.5 (on July 22). NO LONGER OBESE!!! I did not exercise at all. I did count calories (1500 a day). Currently on the 7.5mg dose, but I have been losing weight since day 1 on the 2.5mg. I haven’t been hungry and probably only ate significantly more than 1500…

Did you keep or throw out your larger waist size pants when you lost weight?
Although I am wearing jeans with a smaller waist today, I have yet to throw out the ones that are too big for me. I don't know; maybe I worry about gaining back those lost pounds in the back of my mind. Are you saving your larger size clothes too?

Patience is indeed a virtue.
Just thought I’d quickly share the experience I’ve had this year as after 58 years, I’m finally doing things right. Back in January, after losing about 10 lbs in the previous two months, I hit a snag in that my scale wasn’t moving. I had been losing over a pound a week and then nothing; my plateau had lasted over a month.…

Anyone Lost Over 30 and kept it off for more than 5 years, who doesn't work in the fitness industry
Is there anyone here who has lost over 30 pounds and kept it off for more than 5 years, who doesn't work in the fitness industry, or a heavily appearance-biased field? It seems like most of the people who keep it off work in fitness. I hope I'm wrong. Other people can reply too, I'm just particularly interested in that…

Your ring sizes go up and down.
As I lose weight and exercise, my wedding ring threatens to fall off. Other times, water retention keeps it almost too tight. A great solution is a $5 ring size adjustment kit that has spirals of various sizes that you can cut to length and easily add or remove. I've had mine for years and I've yet to use up the supply!

5'8-5'11 women before/after pics?
Looking for preferrably large framed women of those heights with their before/during/after pics for some motivation. If you could also post what body frame you have if you know, that'd also be great. Thanks in advance!

Have you told anyone that you were on a diet?
Did you just start your diet by yourself? I did… and after losing 16 lbs I noticed friends looking at me differently. What’s your story ?

Would really like to join in
I have been off this wagon for a few months now and my stats from weigh-in are awful. Protein, water and muscle are down. Needless to say the wrong readings are up. I would really like to be accountable for my choices and if a nudge from you kind folks is necessary please feel welcome. I am in my late 60s so I now its time…

Success! The road to a healthier me.
In February of 2012 I was at the doctor’s and my blood pressure kept setting of the alarm on the machine, they put me on a scale and I found out I weighed 207lbs. This shocked me, I knew I was overweight but I did not know I had gotten that heavy. They put me on blood pressure medication at that time. I was 35 years old…

Put the weight on again. Started again this year.
Started again in Janurary and half way through! Doing it all differently, joined a proper gym with an instructor to tell me what im meant to do, still allowing myself chocolate and crisps. One thing I will say though is that I've only lost a stone between these two pictures which is hella demotivating...so I've thrown the…

Loose Skin: 50lbs loss at 60+, 4+ years maintenance
On my MFP friend feed, someone asked about my experience with loose skin, as someone who lost weight at 60+. Not the first time the question has come up. I decided to post a thread, being as honest as I can manage. Photos will be in spoilers, even though not indecent in technical terms (I'm wearing a tank top & short…

One Month!
I started tracking my calories and macros on 7/1. One month later, and I’m down 10.8 pounds! I have a long way to go still (starting weight was 330.2 pounds and I’m a 5’2” female), but I’m feeling great, which is almost more important to me than the weight loss itself!

Discipline is greater fuel than Motivation
I was 395+ pounds at the top of last year, I now hover around 235 pounds. Today the weather sucked... and I wasn't in the mood to workout but I got up and did my 5 mile walk to get my 10,000 feet today. These are the days that count... when you really don't wanna do it and you still do it...builds character! It builds…
