Gained 7 Pounds on TOM
Hiya, I gained 7 pounds on my TOM last week. Now that my TOM is done, the weight still hasn’t gone away :( . I’ve been eating under maintenance for awhile so I know it couldn’t be “real” weight gain. Is this just water weight? Has anyone else experienced this?

Maintenance
Hi don't need this just yet as hubby and I just started out on our weight loss. We are both wondering though when you move to "maintenance" how do you know what new calorific intake should be - do you need to change a setting in MFP to have this calculated and if so where is it ? Many thanks

Struggling
Finally hit my happy weight. Initially it said I needed to eat 1750 kcal to loose which I always struggled to hit 1500 kcal a day. Now to maintain its telling me I need to eat 2400 kcal and that’s not including extra kcal from exercise. I have no idea how to hit that much without eating crap which I don’t want.

Hi everyone - haven’t used this app for a while so I know everyone differs but just interested in roughly seeing how everyone else manages to stick within maintenance cals and what they are etc. I lost just over a stone over a year ago but my weight has crept back a little as I struggle with maintaining - I think most…

Maintainers Help Needed
What type of professional would you see? I’m 5-7”, 134#, 24%bf age 52F. I’m at what is considered ideal for my stats. I lost 85# over 2 years via good diet, walking/running and lifting. Yet I still have very loose flabby bags on my belly, thighs and arms. It’s not improved in a year. Primary doc says stop losing Plastic…

Joined MFP 5 years ago... burn out
I joined MFP 5 years ago... Lost 80 lbs, gained back 15ish in the last 2 years. I just feel so burned out of the 'lifestyle' sometimes. I force myself to get 10,000 steps a day, feel guilty when I don't because it leaves my calories to a pathetic number (I haven't even managed to maintain with a 2300 calorie TDEE, not…

Weight maintenance and this app.
So, most research I've done indicates that to maintain my weight I need to slowlyincrease my calorie intake leveling off somewhere between 1900 to 2000. However, this app tells me to level out at 1600. Seems odd, incorrect even. That's merely 100 calories more than it recommends to lose the weight. What am I missing?

Does anyone else find it hard to meet a partner that shares your passion of maintenance
Maybe I am odd, I actually am LOL, but I have had real trouble meeting women that share my passion of nutrition and weightlifting. I do live on a small town, so that might not help, but most of the women I meet just want to eat crap food and watch tv.

Fitbit to track calories - how to eat?
Hi everyone, I'm in desperate need of advice, I am kinda running out of ideas myself. Here's my situation: I was injured and didn't work out for about 4 months, and lost a ton of strength during that time (YIKES). I was doing Stronglifts 5x5. I am getting back into it (Week 3 just started), with adjusted weights, and I am…

Should I up my calories to TDEE? Will I gain?
As posted in another thread, I am hovering at max 1400-1500 with around 70 mins of exercise per day for around 6 days and reached a plateau of 60kg at 171cm. I am wondering if eating more at this stage will help me to maintain or lose a little more weight? Can anyone enlighten me? Apparently my TDEE is around 2100 and my…

Higher Fat Diet tips
I’ve gradually been decreasing my carbs, I’m not a huge carb eater to begin with, it’s never been the thing to fill me up unless it’s oatmeal really. My big thing though is that I’ve also been increasing my fats to go along with the decrease in carbs. Currently I’m eating 35c/35f/30p and eating at maintenance or a little…

The odds of long-term weight loss success
I have long been under the impression that the percentage of those who lose a significant amount of body weight and maintain it was extremely low... like <5%. I'm sure I've seen other posters use statistics like this in the forums. But today I was looking for the data, and though it sounds like it hasn't been widely…

New goal?
Once you hit maintenance and are recomped to your satisfaction - what fitness goals have you chosen to pursue? I'm shocked to find myself in this spot, but I'm at a healthy weight and BF% and I'm not sure what to do next. I like goals to keep me motivated, just continuing along is not enough for me. So far, I've been…

Maintaining weight
Hey, I’ve been on mfp for a year now and I’m happy with my weight loss. I’m now around the 10 stone mark and I’m pretty happy to stay around this. I’ve recently started the gym, going around 2/3 times a week. My eating isn’t the best at all times. I have days where I eat around 1,500 calories but then today for example I’m…

What’s your New Years Resolution?
For those of you new to Maintenance, your New Years goal for 2017 was likely “to lose x lbs”. Now that you’ve accomplished your goal (assumption since you’re in Maintenance now), what’s your fitness/health goal for 2018? Aside from maintaining of course! Mine are: To compete in no less than one racing event every quarter…

Skipping gym?
I'm curious.. if I take a break from the gym for a while. Max is a month. Will I become fat again? I say again because I've lost so much weight and I'm scared of gaining any kind of fat. Back from vacation - back on track
One week later and stepped on the scale: Up three pounds. Okay, no big deal, right? Now, I'm out of my maintenance range and have set MFP to lose 1lb a week for a time till I'm back in range. Tonight we have a festive dinner at a favorite restaurant, but I've preplanned what I'll be eating: 3 oz of steak, green beans, and…

Disappointed in my new IWatch
I have been an avid Fitbit user for a few years now. My husband just bought me an iwatch3. I have collaborated my steps, updated my health app correctly and my total daily cals seem low to me. I have maintained my weight for years eating 2,200 to 2,400 a day depending on exercise. I usually get11,000 steps a day outside of…

Do I need to cut or bulk?
Not sure exactly where to ask this, but here goes... Most people swear by cutting and bulking when trying to lose fat and add muscle, so if I maintain my current weight and exercise (weight train mostly) will it help that much or is it a lot more efficient to do cut and bulk cycles. Basically I don't mind exercising and…
