Keeping track on diet
hi so I been tracking my calories and going to gym for 34 days straight (rest days I will walk 30 min) but know I have hard time getting more stricter with my diet. Sum days I can go easily by in deficit but some days I have real bad time with cravings due to emotions with hunger pengs. Is it bad I give in temptation ? And…

This tiny morning change transformed my energy
Most of us wait for motivation to kick in — but what if motivation isn’t the key? After years of ups and downs, I found something better: consistency powered by tiny wins.

Please add Magnesium to nutrient tracker
Most people are low in magnesium. I would like to track my magnesium intake but unfortunately it is not currently available on the list of nutrients to track. I would love it if MFP added that to the list! Thank you!

Supportive friends needed
I am getting back onto my health and fitness journey!! Not new to MFP, but it's been quite some time away from the app. Looking for like minded individuals who love to explore healthy recipes (ie: air fryer, crockpot)... And also those who are trying to get toned up. It cheers me up to see new recipes, progress pictures…

I'm back
hey everyone. I've been on fitness pal for years decided at the beginning of 2025 I'd take a break, I was bulky, which was not what I wanted and I was very tired, waking up at 2am and going to the gym 4-5 days a week had worn me out and I completely stopped going to the gym. During my nine months away I lost all the muscle…

Best, affordable, fitness tracker/watch for an avid swimmer?
Hey there, I'm looking for something I can wear in the pool for at least 30 minutes of swimming, drills, and main sets for swimming. I know most watches are "waterproof" for 50 meters depth, rather than continuous water exposure for prolong periods of time- I'm trying to see if anyone has good recommendations!

What's going on with the new User Interface?
The new user interface for food entry is impossible to use. I've tried to add a food not on the list and it simply goes to a blank page. It's bad enough the foods do not list properly, but not being able to add additional foods makes it quite useless. I hope this is some sort of interim user interface and that myfitnesspal…

What is going on??
hello MFP community! I’ve been working on losing weight for 3 months now (well, for years, but focused last 3), and I’m eating the right number of calories as per MFP, I’m exercising AND I’m doing GLP-1 (Wegovy), which I’ve done before. I haven’t lost a pound, not 1. What’s happening? Has anyone else experienced this?…

Any plans to add Huawei Health app?
Hi Do you have any plans to add Huawei Health app to your list of approved apps? I find the food side of MFP quite good, but it's frustrating having to add exercise as an extra. Thanks

Recipes needs work!
The remove button on the recipe's ingredient list doesn't work. You have to clear the recipe and start over. I'm using it on Chrome on a laptop. I haven't used Finess Pal in almost 5 years. It's disappointing that you've put no work into that section. I tried to build a recipe using the app, another FAIL. I had to adjust…

How do calorie deficits work?
I've been searching for the answer endlessly. I currently sit at 5'8, 221 pounds. I am obese, but luckily proportional. If I didn't exercise, I would need to eat 1,990 calories a day, because to maintain my weight, I would need 2490. This creates a 500 calorie deficit. Fitbit tracks the calories I burn, I think both…

White noise machines
Hi all! I’m thinking of purchasing a white noise machine and quitting my habit of wearing ear plugs to sleep. Does anyone use one? If so, any brand suggestions? TIA😊

It’s a long journey, but it’s my journey!
I have to admit I like those potato chips and that is my cheat, but I don’t care! 225 days and 14 pounds down. It may not sound like much to others, but I am as proud as I can be of my progress. Whoop whoop 🙌

Daily accountability and check in
Insipired by 54shadesofblue this Morning, I am going to maintain a thread here as a daily accountability and check in. Obesity, Processed Foods, and Positing That “Extra Exercise” Can Eventually Hit a Metabolism Wall
Washington Post 7-15-2025 What causes obesity? A major new study is upending common wisdom. Many people assume obesity is caused by too little exercise and too many calories. But researchers have found inactivity is not the main cause. Obesity is uncommon among Hadza hunter-gatherers in Tanzania, Tsimane forager-farmers in…

Hello!
I've been on MFP before, but it was years ago. I've gone through many ups and downs with my weight and health, but I'm just severely unhappy. I'm on a journey to change my life & be okay with myself - mentally, physically, and emotionally. I have no idea what I'm doing. :)

Calorie Deductions with Apple Watch Tracking
HI! this is my first day here and I'm a tad confused on the app sharing/tracking. I connected my Apple Health App info and it seems to only deduct my calories from my workout on the MyFitnessApp. Should it deduct all of the calories that I have burned on my red activity ring through apple or just from a logged exercise? I…

Multiple quick add
In the app, there are multiple quick adds saved. Not 1 or 2, but many, most are different amounts, but there are some that are the same amount. Having to scroll through 10-15 quick adds to find a food is quite aggravating. Closing the app did not fix the problem.
