Friends
Hello all, I am an emotional stress eater. Canadian. 54. I need to start putting myself first in multiple ways. I tried this app many years ago, prior to UnderArmour buying it out. Had success at that time. The groups and communities helped. I like posting motivational quotes and stuff. I don’t see that as an option…

Mother, looking for others who aren't crash dieting
I'm 30 years old, married mother of 3. I joined MFP at the beginning of year and today marked my 40th day!!! I'm a nursing mom, and have to find a balance of healthy foods and calorie intake. I'm getting annoyed with some of my "friends" who eat 500 calories of crap food all day, and log washing floors as exercise. I want…

Starting over…again
Just weighed in. First time in several months. I have gained back the 15 pounds that I lost over the past couple years. I had thought that I would never be at 200# again. I am going back to MFP vs Noom and Found ( both with wt loss meds). I don’t want to do meds anymore. I know what I need to do, I just need accountability…

CDC obesity map in America - why are some geographic areas more impacted than others?
Reading today about health in America (NYE resolutions & end of year statistics and such) —I came across this CDC Adult Obesity Prevalence Map. Why are some states impacted more than others? Is it economic? Cultural? Education ? I originally thought it may be economic, with NY & California having a less prevalent obesity…

When would you buy new clothes?
I’m debating on when I should buy new clothes. I’m currently almost 40 pounds down and I can still wear all my old clothes. Most of my pants are either of a stretchy material or a relaxed fit with an elastic waistband so they are quite forgiving in sizing. Of course they are getting loose, anything with a zip/button…

Should I prioritize calorie or macros?
Hi, I notice that sometimes my macros when calculating g calorie per g (protein 4, carb 4, fat 9) a quite higher than the calorie total in my fitnesspal. For example, tomorrow, protein 131 g *4, carbs 170 g * 4, fat 60 g * 9 = 1850 cal while it shows only 1631 in myfitnesspal. Should I continue to follow this plan or…

Calorie adjustments wildly high
Hi, all! Today I noticed that my calorie adjustment is already 1400+ calories, but I’ve been in bed sick with ZERO exercise today. My garmin watch says I’ve only walked about 3000 steps. Never happened before and I haven’t changed any settings. Thoughts on how to fix this?

Realisation
After a few days of not having any results when it comes to weight loss but having monumental results when it comes to feeling better I realized something crucial in the beginning of a weight loss journey it's not about how different your body looks it's not about looks it's not about the scales it's simply about how you…

Can't find a food scale that does these simple things!!
It's been years I have been using a food scale but unfortunately I can't find one that does the following: Usually when you are weighing food you have a plate in which you keep it not a bowl or so. The plate will hide the reading and when you take the plate off the reading will disappear. So I used to put a bowl on the…

I fear gaining muscle/weight because my frame size isn’t small. Any other women have the same issue?
21F and I am slightly underweight at 5'9" and 117lbs. I don’t really care so much about the number but more so how I feel, which is lacking in strength. My issue though is that although most would assume I’m thin because of my weight, I don’t look that way necessarily. Naturally I have wide hips. My hip bone (from the…
