New Week's Resolution - Week 17 (Feb 10 - Feb 16)
Welcome to the first week of the rest of your life! Now seems like a perfect time to select a New Week's Resolution. What is a New Week's Resolution? It's exactly the same as a New Year's Resolution, with two important distinctions: it only lasts for one week, and you can start one any time you want, rather than just once…

Have You Tried an Anti-Inflammatory Meal Plan? Has It Helped?
Have any of you tried an anti-inflammatory diet plan? Not a weight loss diet, but tailoring your diet to reduce inflammation and joint pain? Did it work? What did you do? When did you see results? Has it helped on an on-going basis? I’m planning on consulting with my hospital affiliated gym’s RD when she returns. She’s…

2025 Cycling Challenge
Here we are, kicking off our fourth year! Like cycling? So do I! This challenge is a simple one - ride 2025 miles in 2025! Type of cycle? Doesn't matter. Indoor, outdoor, don't care. As long as it has pedals (whether for feet or for hands) and wheels (virtual or real), it counts! Peleton? Zwift? Road? Mountain trails?…

MFP is not loading all steps from Android Health Connect
I've got a problem synchronizing my steps. I have configured MFP to read steps from Google Fit via "Android Health Connect" (Android smartphone), - so Google Fit is saving my activity (steps) to Android Health Connect, and MFP is reading them from there. The problem is that Google Fit is writing my steps all the time, but…

Fitbit Steps to MyFitnessPal Complications
Let me start by saying I'm a bit of a technological caveman. When I first integrated Fitbit steps it worked great - would be consistent from watch to MFP app and would deduct calories accordingly. Now it seems to stay consistent, but with no calorie adjustment. And some days the calories do adjust based off Fitbit steps…

Back on myfitnesspal
Hello everyone. I'm just coming back to myfitnesspal after an absence of several years. One of the joys of menopause has been gaining over twenty pounds despite my healthy diet and level of exercise, which is pretty good. So it's been frustrating but for my overall health's state, I'm committed to being even healthier. I…

why does my calorie goal keep resetting?
I use the basic version online (not phone app), mainly for food-tracking. Every few days, my calorie goal resets to a number that I have never used (the same one each time). I keep changing it to my actual goal and saving the change. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying.

Don't let your weight hold you back!
I've been waiting my whole life to be thinner to be able to fully enjoy life and try new things. I'm tired of waiting! I faced my fears and tried out an aerial silks class - and I'm so glad I did! After just a couple classes, I can already see progress in what I'm able to do. I feel stronger and proud. So go try out…

Welcome to the Tough Love Fitness Club or otherwise known as the TLFC! Accuracy of Workout Calories Burned
I just started tracking my gym workouts with MFP. Previously I just let my Apple Watch log calories based on time of a Function Strength workout. The MFP calorie estimate is about twice the Apple Watch. I would expect MFP to be more accurate given the specifics of weight and reps, however I am finding it very hard to…

Beginning my weight loss journey.
Good morning I am beginning my weight loss journey. I have been doing the intermittent fasting for about 8 weeks with a break for Christmas to New years. So far I have lost about 13 pounds. My goal is to lose another 30 before summer. I lost 50 pounds in 5 months 26 years ago and kept the weight off for 22 years but the…
