Natural Sugar vs. Added Sugar?
I recently had some blood work done and for the first time ever I've slipped into the "pre-diabetic" range. I'm 59 and have gained about 20 pounds since menopause. I've had great luck using mfp in the past and am again losing weight by logging everything and making good choices! But I can't get conclusive answers by…

Hey hey!
I am 230, and trying to get to a goal weight of 160 by my birthday next year. And keep it that way! I lost 100 pounds in 2004, and was unable to keep from ballooning it all back on. I find that I am able to feel better not restricting calories, but making the most of them. I used to be under another alias here, but it…

Separate added sugar from naturally occurring sugar?
This might turn into more of a feature request for MFP, but when logging food I don’t want things like fresh whole fruit or dairy to count against my sugar goal. Added sugars and naturally occurring sugars are not the same thing, and unless one is diabetic there’s no reason to avoid eating fruit because of the sugar. But I…

Breakfast protein options other than eggs?
I’m struggling with my breakfast protein — I love eggs, but they make my eyes a little puffy and my throat a little itchy. I’m not allergic but I do have an immune response to them, like a food sensitivity. I would eat nothing but boiled eggs all day if I could, buuuut I’m trying to combat my inflammation too during this…

I'm so hungry!
I'm not meeting my calorie deficit goals very well, but I'm still starving. Nearly 700 calories over the other day and I was still so hungry. Today I'm starving unto feeling like I'm going to throw up after dinner and already over my calorie goal. I'm breastfeeding, but that should only be around 300 extra calories. I…

Accuracy of Nutrition and Limitations
Hi. I was quite surprised to have found that I was eating way more calories when I thought I wasn’t. I didn’t realise that many scanned entries weren’t accurately reporting the Nutritional facts. It’s also extremely upsetting that customisation of units aren’t possible . If - for example - I want to enter: Almonds; 1oz…

Tips for Managing Side Effects on Ozempic?
Hi everyone! I’ve been using Ozempic for about 6 months now and have definitely gone through some ups and downs with the side effects. Here are a few tips that worked for me: 1. Nausea: I found that taking Ozempic in the evening, after a small meal, helped reduce nausea a lot. Also, ginger tea has been my best friend!…

I set up my premium account on my phone using my Apple ID in the app. However, I can’t access my account using a web browser since there is now a unique email associated with this account. Any picky eater meals?
I work 6p-6a so meal planning is difficult for me because I'm sleeping pretty much all day. Salads are what people normally suggest but I'm such a picky eater I hate lettuce tomato's and carrots all because of the texture. I don't want to just have peanut butter and some hard boiled eggs on the side every day to hit my…

Night Shift
Hi, I work night shift 3 nights a week. I'm trying to figure out when to count my meals. On a typical night I eat at 5pm, midnight and 4am and then usually 8am before I go to bed. Would I count the 8am meal for the day before since I haven't slept yet, or do I count it as a new day and start at 8am and go to 4am that…

Import of water intake from Apple Health ASAP
Another for importing of logged in water intake from Apple Health. NSV'S FOR THE WEEK
As some of you know I moved into an apartment on campus wednesday. I live on the top floor (5 or 6 flights of stairs) NSV1- I don't need to stop and rest on the way up the stairs. NSV2- At the resident meeting for my whole building, we were asked to introduce ourselves and give a fun fact about us. Mine was that I've lost…

Add exercises that are chair based
With two bad knees and limited mobility I still need fresh ideas to be active in my limited state. There are many of us out there that are faced with the same challenges. Dietary Restrictions
It would be nice to put things like restrictions (peanuts, meat, shellfish, etc) to have meal suggestions molded to personal needs/desires. For example, vegans have much trouble with essential fatty acids and B12, so meal plans would focus on achieving those goals.
