How do you do it??
I'm full - absolutely full. I don't think I've had to eat this much in years! :noway: I'm trying to figure out how to get to 1600 calories a day and not have to each so much. I didn't realize you'd have to eat so much to lose weight. Does anyone have any tips to keep carbs down yet still hit the calorie mark??

Snacking Healthy
Snacking Healthy Add Snacks to Subtract Pounds -- By Liz Noelcke, Staff Writer While some dieters happily accept when someone suggests a snack, others feel pangs of guilt when a nibble is merely suggested. However, there is nothing inherently wrong with a bite between meals. In fact, snacking might be the missing…

Water Temperatures and weight loss. Findings so far.
I told you I would do research on this and though I am still in the middle of research SO FAR THIS IS WHAT I HAVE FOUND OUT! Do not forget that I work with a bunch of Nurses, and they are 1/2 and 1/2 on this subject. All right folks there are different thoughts to this. 1. Water Temps cold or hot does not make any…

Detox kits
Hi everyone, still here. I have always been interested in trying out a detox kit. Not one that keeps you in the bathroom for a week. I have never tried anything like this, but I hear it is good for flushing out toxins and bacteria from the body's organs. Are they just laxatives you take for a week...if so, not interested.…

Artificial Sweeteners
I have a friend (health fanatic) who has been giving me some healthy-living diet advice. So, per her suggestion, I've been trying to wean myself off of artificial sweeteners. For the longest time I thought that it was ok that I drank an average of 5 DIET sodas a day. It has now been almost 4 months since I've had a…

Yogurt mixed with cottage cheese
Has anybody else tried this. My husband and I did this a while back when we did "Body for Life". Any way we would mix about a half a cup of low fat cottage cheese with a small container of light yogurt for a snack. I really like using the keylime, lemon or orange flavored yogurts. When mixed up they taste similar to a…

Fasting
I'm on a juice fast until 1 Jan to rid myself of toxins and just feel more fresh before I begin my diet. . . if I'm riding my bike for 45 minutes a day during the fast and mostly sitting at an office job for the remainder of the time, will my metabolism slow as much? And I'm going to break the fast by going 300 cals to 500…

Vegan
Hi Everyone- I am new to this community and I am wondering if anyone out there is vegan. I have been vegan (no meat, dairy, eggs) for 2 years for ethical reasons, but hoped I would lose weight as well. Calorie Queens book
Anyone read CALORIE QUEENS: LIVING THIN IN A FAT WORLD? A friend gave it to me and I started reading it yesterday. BOY were the first few chapters a kick in the butt! It basically told me that losing weight takes time and no one is going to get instant results (which is why I stop many many diets and exercise plans…

There are no miracle drugs!!!!
I was talking to my friend who buys all the over the counter diet pills. This one doesn't work, this one makes my mouth dry, this one............I tried to tell her that there is no miracle drug. What are the “World’s Unhealthiest Foods”?
What are the “World’s Unhealthiest Foods”? The "unhealthiest" foods tend to be those that least resemble their original natural ingredients and have the most added refined and artificial additives. For some reason today I am way under my calorie count (like 700 calories under). Trust me this isn't usually the case but I don't feel hungry right now. I try to cut off my eating at 7pm which is ten minutes away. Should I go ahead and eat even though I'm not hungry to bring up my count???

Limiting sugar
Hi! I have only been on here for about a week, but in that time I have noticed that I eat much more sugar than my limit, even though I am avoiding unhealthy sweets. December - love it or hate it
I know I'm not the only one... This is my absolute favorite time of year. However, it's also one of my most difficult times of the year. calories in and calories out
Hi: I have some ideas for being successful. I think that anyone that is worried about the number of cals they eat should gradually reduce them instead of going cold turkey. I know that is what will work for me. I put a cap off 1,800. I have been hitting around 1500 and I think it is because I let myself have a little…
