Hypothyroidism and Weight Management
Hypothyroidism and Weight Management I wrote this to address misinformation/disinformation regarding what hypothyroidism is and what it is not. What is important and what is not. Be wary folks as there are a disturbing number of charlatans looking to make a profit without offering any meaningful benefit. I had a total…

My why
hi! I’m Courtney and it’s time for a change. I’ve been 193 pounds for a while. I have been my husbands caregiver since he was wounded while serving in Iraq in 2007. In the last couple of years I didn’t want to admit that his bad days physically are outweighing the good. One day, he is going to need me to be pushing him in…

Shredding body fat
I'm really struggling with burning body fat. I'm in the gym 5 mornings a week, mixing cardio and strength training. I'm working hard when I do my weight and core exercises, literally drenched in sweat. I've been tracking my calories fairly close, and at a 1900 calorie goal, I thought I'd be losing a pound or more a week,…

Easy High Protein Enchilada Casserole
Learning that enchilada sauce is very low cal has been a game changer. Stick some boneless skinless chicken breast in a crockpot with a packet of taco seasoning, a spoonful of salsa if you’ve got it, and a little water. Cook on slow all day, and shred before dinner. At dinner time, line the bottom of a pie plate or smaller…

Stuck and frustrated
Back on MFP and love it. Committed to tracking, being accountable and learning what's best for my health and weight. Long post to follow.... An accident in 6/22 laid me up the better part of a year, took another year to get over some humps, and then had a major move. 30 lbs later, I was finally able to get active again.…

Calories burned while figure skating?
So just to be clear, I do competitive figure skating so jumps spins ECT… I typically skate for two to three hours plus a 3 hour workout after. How many calories do y'all think that would burn. (I know its a lot but I don't know how much:( I would also recomend going ice skating if you read this.)

Mark or Filter "Perfect Tracking Days" for Easier Replication
Hi MFP team and fellow users, I’d love to suggest a feature that would make life easier for everyone who tracks macros and calories consistently: 🔍 Let us mark or filter days where we hit all our targets! Why? Because replicating a successful day is incredibly helpful – especially when you want to stay on track without…

Gained a LOT of Weight on Psychiatric Meds
Got up to 208 lbs. and I'm 5 ft 8.5 in. and female. Then, I switched psychiatric meds and lost 60 lbs. over one year with seemingly little effort. Then, I switched back to the psychiatric med that I originally gained weight on and since 2021, I've been slowly regaining the weight. I've regained 23 lbs. so far. I'm now up…

Log it before you eat it!
Hello to anyone new to MFP, I am new to the discussion boards but not the application. I have used it several times to lose weight. A rule that really helps me is: LOG IT BEFORE YOU EAT IT! I know this sounds simple, but it is important, if you wait to log it, you can forget to log it, you can log it and not like how it…

Hello, my name is LaTanya. I started my health journey 6 months ago at 70 yrs old. I'm determined not to leave this earth sick and feeble. I've finished 6 months of personal training where I increased my muscle mass to above average. Although I've lost inches, I still have more weight to lose. I need a support system to…
