Hey!
I’ve been using mfp for quite some time off and on, but have never used the community feature and want to give it a go! I’ve been through a bunch of huge life changes this year and have gained weight, so really wanting to lock in and get back to my 60kg goal by summer! It’s almost the end of winter here in Melbourne,…

Nutrients in % (Needs to be revised)
Why would most of the nutrients allow us to change our daily goals by entering the GRAMS, but items like Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium, & Iron only allow entries based on percentage? That make 0% sense. Example: The RDA for Calcium for a man my age is 1,000mg. I typically consume about 400mg of calcium per day, so i know…

is there a way to organize recipes on the website
I've a number of my own recipes - some breakfast, some salads, some sides, some main dishes. Is there a way to organize the recipes so when I am looking for a salad I don't need to scroll through every recipe that I have entered.

Meal scan
Hey all! I’ve used MFP for a few years at least. I’m curious about meal scanning. If you use it, do you feel it’s accurate? Pros? Cons? I just turned 67 and have about 50-60 pounds to lose. I have Hashimoto’s disease and am prediabetic. I’m pretty active and am determined to get fit and improve my health.

“Which fitness habit will matter most 10 years from now?”
This makes people think long-term about their health instead of quick results. It sparks deep reflection on sustainable habits like walking, sleep, or nutrition.

Having an option to toggle between “store sorted” and “meal sorted” grocery lists, so you can see ingredients grouped by recipe/day.

Calorie deduct for omitted ingredients
I ran into a scenario where I ordered a sandwich from a fast food place, but I chose remove mayo from the sandwich to reduce fat. It would be nice to be able to add an “omitted” item to my diary that would create a negative calorie consumption. That way I would look up the sandwich for an easy log, and then just deduct the…

Grocery sorting
If meal planning groceries could be sorted more than store dependents (e.g. by day or meal). As is, if shopping for two meals out of five in a week, there’s a lot of swiping between recipes and the grocery list. Thanks!

Recovering from an injury
While I am recovering from my broken femor surgery, I have been doing 2 forms of dieting. CICO for a 1,200-1,400 Cal total, and Intermittent fasting, where I do the 16:8. But my husband thinks I do not need to be dieting during recovery. What do you all think. Will calorie restriction prevent muscle and bone recovery.

New to the gym as a fat girl
Hi there! I'm really new to using the gym. Before I gained a lot of weight, I liked going to the gym. I used to go two or three days a week and although I was never a total gym rat, I was pretty comfortable using the equipment and felt like I belonged. But that has changed. I'm now significantly overweight and with my 43rd…
