Why can I never find the start fast button?
Sometimes when I complete my diary for the day the "start fast" button shows at the top of food log page. Sometimes it does not? Why? There should be an intermittent fasting section where you can stop & start. The only section I find is if you want to record a fast you have completed. Not user friendly. I'm getting an IF…

Chit chat is FULL of funny/light/airy stuff but there’s a gaping hole where serious conversation could be. And maybe this thread won’t carry…

Why can’t I fast more than 16:8 on Myfitnesspal?
Hi there, Limiting fasting to 16:8 on the app is not realistic knowing that a lot of people sometimes have longer fasts. And that’s something that I actually want to track. Please reconsider. Thanks

Unpopular Opinion: Weight Training burns more fat than cardio.
Argument: When you weight train and are in a calorie deficit it is when most of your fat will start to fall off. People believe that cardio is the best way to burn fat but it’s quite the contrary. It’ll most likely take away from your muscle before it takes away from your fat. When you weight train and are in a calorie…

Are 4 point BIA scales worth it?
I’ve been debating about getting a 4 point BIA scale, like Hume Body Pod or one of the less expensive brands. Has anyone tried them? What are your thoughts? Are they worth the money? Do you find the additional data useful? Any other thoughts?

New to macros and my fitness pal
Hi all, I work out 5 days a week burning approximately 900 calories with cardio work. I don't use weights at this stage. I do a moderate amount of walking at work as well with periods of sitting. I have logged my goals into my fitness pal and have chosen to lose 0.5kg per week and that I am lightly active. I'll be honest.…

Quality vs. Quantity of Sleep
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about sleep. Do you think the quality of sleep matters more than the number of hours? Some nights I get 8+ hours but wake up groggy, and other times I only get 6–7 and feel way more refreshed. Makes me wonder if it’s less about the clock and more about the depth/restfulness of sleep. What’s…

use measurements / weights instead of "number of servings" in recipes
I'm new to the forum so this suggestion may have already been made… I'm finding it frustrating that when you add a recipe to calculate calories and macros, it uses "number of servings" instead of weights. I get it… that's quicker and easier and matches many online recipes. But if we're trying to be precise, we need to be…
