Why is the barcode scan behind premium?
Returning to myfitnesspal after 2 years of living my best live. Sad to see that I'm welcomed by a bigger paywall instead of innovation. There are so many calorie trackers out there coming up with new features, like foodvisor with useful lessons and a fun interface. Sadly, myfitnesspal seems stuck in the past. I understand…

Recommendations for arm HR monitors
Hi all, I’ve had several fitness watches over the years and gave them up for various reasons. I don’t have an Apple Watch (and don’t want one). But I could do with a heart rate monitor for zone training / rate of exertion. Looking at the arm ones as I can’t wear one on my wrist when training (usually wear straps / tape)…

Hello Everybody
I’m new here, 64 years young and on a journey to lose weight and get in shape. I’m in the gym 5 to 6 days a week, for 90 to 120 minutes and have been logging food and working out for the past 3 years. I started at 360 lbs and broke 200 recently then plateaued. I’ve tried everything to break the plateau and no luck. If…

Day 3 of my journey

Square One
Hi there! I am a 27 y.o. nurse from New England. I am 5'5" and 308 lbs. I have an amazing husband whom I just married this year. I am looking to achieve a ton of goals related to health and wellness that I will eventually write about. I figured a short introduction might be a good start.

Has anyone found an actual solve for the Fitbit sync issues?
I'm back to MFP after years off and it's genuinely crazy to me that this is still a problem. I connect the accounts, it syncs once, then never syncs again despite following all of the troubleshooting steps. The only way I can get it to sync is to disconnect and reconnect multiple times per day. Any tips?

New to the app.
I’ve had a garmin watch for some time now and found this as a suggestion, so I’m on day 2 and figuring it out bit by bit. Definitely excited to get this journey up to speed, not high speed just a nice cruising type of speed, this isn’t a one off bike ride but the rest of life!

Does anyone else have Heart Failure here?
IF you have heart failure and a low EF% (injection fraction percentage), can you tell me how you raised your EF % and got it back to normal? I have been taking all of my medicine. I started at 24% then 3 months laterI was up to 25%. This was discouraging to be honest. I hope it eventually goes back up to normal levels.…

Iphone Calorie adjustment
so I have my iPhone attached to this app so it does a iPhone calorie adjustment. My question is if I’m brisk walking while walking those 17,000 steps do I have to add anything or does the calories it does there enough?

Weight loss weigh mild high cholesterol
Hi everyone. I’m trying to lose 10 lbs and have mild cholesterol so I have been eating better. The thing is, I don’t feel full ever and want to snack ( which I don’t eat cookies, candy, fried food or processed foods) I’m logging food on a 2000 calorie diet. I stick to low fat milk, fish, chicken and sugar free foods. What…

Weight gain / Fussy eater
Hi I'm Tom, I'm a 6'2" 25 year old guy from the UK. I've struggled with eating problems since young and as such have become an adult with quite a limited palate but I'm aiming to get up to a healthy weight. I've recently been teetering around the 18 BMI, occasionally bobbing upward of 18.5 which is just about considered…

Let’s gooo, Apple Watch users! 🔥📱⌚
Just joined some Apple Watch Challenges through the Challenges app and I’m pumped. Nothing like a little friendly competition to keep the motivation high and the steps even higher! Whether it’s closing rings, burning calories, or racking up miles — I’m in it to win it (or at least sweat trying 😅). If you’ve got an Apple…

Hey
I’m introducing myself. Hey, my names Lance and I used to be in great shape and very healthy. Years passed and I got lazy not thinking my health would take a hit since it obviously only happens to everyone else except me. Anyway no better time to change than now!!!

Does My Fitness Pal connect with Apple Fitness on I Phone?
or have you found other free fitness apps to connect with this one? Right now I manually connect the two. It works, and not a big deal, just curious. Thank you

Today’s goals
I just finished my 3rd week using this app now moving into week four this looks like a good tool to keep me motivated and accountable everyday. I lost 3.4 pounds during the first 2 weeks but this week even though I followed everything to a tee I didn’t lose any weight which was a little discouraging but I’m gonna keep…

Having 'friends' on here
I am 65 but not aloof to the world. I don't reach out to be on anyone's friends list and would welcome an actual chit chat and support friend on here. However it seems that the last hand full of folks who tried to friend me were actually scammers. First hint on the first one was that he tried friending me from three…
