Intermittent fasting
Hello, I'm doing the 5 2 diet and my question is this, what should my calories be on non fast days? I've been keeping it between 1200 and 1500 on the off days then 500 on the fast days, does this sound about right?

A great start to my journey
All my life I’ve had an unhealthy relationship with food, it didn’t matter if I was happy, sad or even angry I would always turn to food for comfort! Just a little over 5 months ago I decided to make a change on how I saw food, re-educationed myself as I couldn’t continue with making the wrong choices and watching the…

Missed Connections
I am a single Mom who is working to prioritize my health and fitness routine. I previously dabbled on the dating apps and have often wondered if it were possible to integrate my fitness apps to a dating (think geofencing with privacy and safety in mind) where single individuals could be connected to like minded…

Quick Protein Suggestion to Tweak Recipe
I am (believe it or not) tired of chocolate peanut butter pancakes (with hagel and chocolate peanut butter frosting), and want to make some plain vanilla ones, and top them with sliced fruit and jam for a change of pace. Removing the generous amount of peanut butter powder in the batter and also in the frosting is cutting…

Why we track
Hey everyone! I’m really active and pretty disciplined, but if I don’t track my calories, micros, and macros I end up out of balance—don’t feel as good, and my progress takes a hit. I love the process of fueling with purpose: grabbing a carrot for vitamin A, a baked potato for vitamin C and potassium, or some yogurt with…

Not all Fitness and Nutrition Information is Good Information
I was once told that if I wanted to lose weight, I need to stay away from fatty foods. I suppose from a general point of view this makes sense so I used to think fat = bad. Turns out I was wrong and so was this nutritionist that told me to abstain from fat. While most nutritionists know their stuff, there are some out…

Rib cartilage popped on leg press
A few days ago I was doing the leg press machine using heavy weight. I was doing 5 sets of 5. I started at 220lbs and gradually increased. On my 4th set I was at 450lbs. The first 3 pushes were fine but as my knees got to my chest and I started the push I felt a "pop" in my lower right rib cage. I was able to get the…
