Lifting app?
I've bounced around quite a bit trying to find a good way to log my lifting routine, and can't seem to find one I'm very happy with. Does anyone have an app that's good for logging? I have both an Android and iPhone so either can work for me.

A new start
I have been on a good way 3 1/2 weeks ago. I had been going to the gym and trying my best to get into lifting for about 3 months and felt like I was slowly seeing some results. I had lost weight before, and my weight was on the lower end of healthy BMI (160 cm/ 5'3" or 5'4, between 50 and 51 kg/ 110-113 lbs). Still, when…

How much cardio is too much?
Trying to gain some muscle but I also want to be careful not to gain fat and I want to be heart healthy. I do cardio kickboxing 4x a week and run 3 miles once a week. Not much for most runners but I'm not a runner by any means. Do I need to cut any of this cardio? I also lift 4-5x a week and eat 2400 calories a day. 5'9"…

Gaining Muscle
I have been successful in gaining 6lbs of muscle. I started at 110lbs and now I am currently 116lbs! I'm wondering if I go back to a calorie deficiency in order to lower my body fat percentage can I still gain muscle? If so, any tips? I lift heavy at least 3-4x a week and 1 day of intense cardio. Thanks!

Working out on an empty stomach?
Hey guys, quick question. Is it alright to workout in the morning on an empty stomach? I do have equipment sufficient enough so that I workout at home and also the program I'm following (One of the recommended ones) calls only for a pair of Dumbbells to work with & maybe a bench. One of the reasons is time constraints but…

Mentally stuck
Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation or can offer some sound advice. 2 years ago I was 38, ate poorly, and smoked quite heavy. Let myself go big time, I’m 5ft 8 and then weighed 16st, resulted in high bp, borderline type 2 and fatty liver. So got put on meds. Fast forward 2 years until…

Bod Pod - Need Help Gaining Lean Muscle Mass
Hello, I did the Bod Pod yesterday which gives you your body fat percentage. I'm at a normal weight. 5'11 and 164 pounds. However, my body fat percentage was 37%, which is considered excess fat zone. Hi everyone, 28yo male, been lifting a few years on and off. Started at about 125-130lb, now I way 160lb. I want to thin out my face and stomach but build lean muscle. My question is if I should be in a calorie deficit to lose weight or a caloric surplus to add muscle.

Building Mass/Powerlifting
Hey everyone. So I've been weightlifting for about 4 years now, as well as throwing in track and field. Currently I compete in NCAA DIII level. Anyways.. I've never been able to gain much muscle mass beyond a little in my legs/glutes regardless of how heavy/often I lift, and I really want to start gaining real muscle mass…

Ch2-Ready to face the gains!
I started losing weight a while back and lost about 20 lbs over several months. Recently I've been feeling a bit bony and don't want to go any lower. Like a lot of people, I've struggled with the mentality switch from losing weight to maintaining/eating to gain muscle when I've spent months and months choosing the lower…

Squats
Hi! I've always tried to stay healthy, but I'm new to weightlifting. I'm a 31-year-old woman, and right now I'm at about the weight I'd like to be (5'4" and 120lbs). The only weight-lifting I'm currently doing are squats. Twice a week, I do some warm-up sets then 3-sets of 5-reps of my "working set." Right now, that's…

How long can I lift in a deficit?
Hello all, I've read here a lot that it's possible to maintain and even build muscle while eating in a deficit if you are obese (or at the beginning of weight lifting). Im wondering how long that's lasts for? Is it related to body fat %? At what point would I need to be eating at maintenance to build muscle? I started…

Simple weight training?
I would like to know some simple exercises for arms, legs, maybe upper shoulders. I'm already doing core (planks, Super Man/hunting dog, and one that's laying on back and pedaling an air bicycle, etc.) for physical therapy for my back. I have heart failure because of cardio-pulmonary birth defects. My cardiologist says I…

Hi guys firstable I hope you don't mind my bad english. I have been always a skinny guy. I am a 6ft male with current weight of 178 lbs. Last year I was 143 (april 2016.) Weight lifting calorie burn question, help please.
So I've been doing a dumbell and kettlebell lifting routine. I'm 160lbs did it for 60 minutes, I was challenging myself but I could finish my sets with effort. 3 sets of ten for arms, 3 sets of 6 for legs, and was sweating when I was done. Fit bit calorie burn which was set on weights as exercise says 313 calories. Does…

I ate an additional 1500 calories yesterday
My aim is to raise my metabolism through a reverse diet but I went crazy with pizza last night. This barely happens so I’m not too worried. Shall I throw in some extra cardio this week to help balance out the numbers? Or draw a line underneath it and continue what I was doing before? 2000 calories a day and 4 weights…

How do you get the 'slim, toned look?'
How do you get the slim, toned look, and not the 'bigger, muscular' look? I don't like to use the word, 'bulky' because apparently some people don't like being called that, even though it isn't unhealthy to be bulky/muscular. It's rather healthy. But, if you want the slim, little fat, toned look where if you take your…

Is there a better way to log my weight lifting?
