Friends make MFP more interesting!
Hello, everyone! I'm April, a 35-year-old Texas native. I'm here to lose weight, just like most people here. It's been a while since I last used MFP. I never thought I'd want to count calories again, but it's the only thing that seems to be effective when combined with exercise. So, here I am, hoping to make friends who…

Hello!
Hi! My name is Melissa. This is my 2nd time using this app. It's been about 4 years. Unfortunately I'm at my heaviest. Long story short, I went to the dr for Covid symptoms, found my BP was so high they were worried I was heading for a stroke. They put me on 2 BP meds, and I've gained 20# since then. Let's add to that I…

History. 280 to 197 to 240 to 220 to 174 to 202 currently over 15 years. Disappointed that I can't stay committed. I can lose weight easily once I make a commitment. Just can't seem to stay committed. My goals are get to 180 and then lose a pound every couple of years as my body ages. 60 years old.

Returning Member
Hello all. I'm a returning MFP user, haven't used in a long while. I'm 37 and recently reached just over the 230 mark and I'd really like to get back into taking my health/wellness seriously. I've never posted to a forum but I think it might be the motivation I need to get started and keep going. Maybe worth noting, but I…

No need to worry, I am not a real Wookiee
Pretty big Star Wars fan here, have been my entire life. I also enjoy Marvel and Batman. It's time to start thinking about my health and what that means for my future. Change can be hard sometimes, but when a Wookiee makes a decision, it's time for action. Looking for some motivational and accountability partners.

Lifestyle Changes
Hi, I’m trying to live a healthier lifestyle and lose some weight. My LDL cholesterol was elevated and my doctor said I could try making lifestyle changes rather than going on a medication. Sounded good to me. I’m retired, trying walking (my dog) for fitness.
