Work in progress..
I'm about 20 pounds from my goal of 195 pounds. I thought I would post some before and after (in progress) pictures. 57 pounds lost and counting. Before: 270 pounds or so (I was actively avoiding scales and mirrors at the time). After: 213 pounds, about 20 pounds to my goal weight. I hope I linked these pics correctly.

Hello! I am a 48 year old mother of 17 children. Ten of which were born biologically, seven adopted. I also have five grandchildren. Three years ago after seeing a picture of myself with my oldest grandchild, I was completely disgusted with myself. I joined Weight Watchers and had a little success, but it was taking a lot…

I got down to 183 pounds. Just two days ago I discovered MFP which is hands down better than Lose-it but I don't have anything bad to say…

Just a Little Thing...
I didn't feel like going to the gym today. I was a bit tired and sore and feeling a little weak, but I went to the gym anyway. I ended up having the best workout of the week today - felt strong and if time restrictions didn't exist, I could have kept going for a lot longer. Anyway, it made me feel good and I wanted to tell…

A Different Kind of Success Story
At 58, I was larger than I wanted to be, but I was okay with it. I'd had the pounds on for about 10 years and decided to myself "This is what beautiful looks like at 58." I had nothing to prove to anybody. Life was good. I had survived two bouts with cancer and there were more important things in my life. Then I started…

Insanity really works
I just started insanity last Monday. Before that I had been done one month of P90X, but I decided what I really wanted was cardio to burn the fat-I am okay with my muscle mass for now. Well, during P90X I could never do all of Kempo because of my heart rate. I always had to take a break a few times and I always only did…

teeny but major to me success
So my best friend took me shopping this past weekend to stores that I've NEVER gone in to. I was really hesitant, knowing that nothing in that store is going to fit me, but I went in. She's pulling clothes off the racks and I"m thinking to myself "yeah right, maybe once I lose another 30 pounds" but I ended up in the…

I Got Teased About Weight Today (Positive)
My co-workers have been very encouraging with my weight loss. No one has been trying to sabotage it and I think that has been major help in my weight loss. Today during a meeting they were even teasing me about my clothes being baggy. I'm trying to hold off another month before I buy any new clothes so I can space out…

OMG!!!!
As of this morning, for the first time EVER in my adult life (for the first time since at least junior high to be more precise,) I officially do NOT weigh two hundred pounds. I can't believe I actually did it. I really didn't believe it was even possible... it was always as if I was just meant to be in the 200s. But this…

6 Months on
It was the 6th December 2009 that I finally wanted to take control of my life. I knew a diet wasn't going to cut it and it needed to be a complete lifestyle change. In December I was 185lb with a 38" waist. I'm now 142lb with a 32" waist and I'm just a couple of pound off my final goal. That 43lb was hard to come off but I…

My 7 Stone progress so far (with pic)
Hi everyone, I've been loosing weight since 2007 with a bit of a gap during 2009. I'm delighted to be 7 stones lighter than I was back then. 2010 has been a great year and I've shed another 2 stones. I've still got a couple to go, but I thought I'd post my picture below after seeing some of the very impressive before and…
